I absolutely love this office! Everyone here is so friendly and you can tell they truly love what they do and they genuinely care about the health of your eyes. They actually explain things to you in detail regarding your eyes. Other doctors offices just seem to want to get you in and out and you are just a number, but here I feel so very welcomed and truly cared about. Previously, I would drive to Indianapolis over an hour away to see an eye specialist down there. When I was just three months old, I had strabismus-which is crossing of the eyes. I had surgery on my eyes, and I honestly didnt really trust anyone up here in Kokomo. Within the last ten years or so, I noticed I felt like I had a slight double vision- it was hard to explain and no doctor could really figure it out and always said I had perfect 20/20 vision (which I knew I didnt-I couldnt see properly!). I decided to stop going to Indianapolis and try out some eye doctors up here because I got tired of the drive, and my problem was never really resolved. I went through literally four other doctors in town, and then I found Dr. Cardwell here at the Cataract and Laser Institute. Turns out I am nearsighted in one eye, and far sighted in the other! I have no idea why no other doctors could figure this out. I also have a condition that causes involuntary movements in my right eye when it is focused on something when my left eye is covered -but since my strabismus was treated when I was so young-Dr. Cardwell explained that my brain had just learned to adapt to it. I feel like I gained so much knowledge regarding my eye health that I had never known before. Dr. Cardwell explained that I do not need to wear glasses-but they could be beneficial to me while driving or on the computer, so I decided to try a pair. Everyone in the optical department was so helpful in picking out a pair that flattered my face shape, as I had never worn glasses before. They arrived in a timely manner, and when I first put them on I was so surprised at how much of a difference they made! Everything was so crisp! I was just extremely pleased that this entire staff seemed to really care about me and that for once in my life, a doctor was actually able to figure out how to correct my vision. I will definitely be back and am going to refer my fiancé and both my mom and dad to this office as well! I feel very confident in their knowledge and the knowledge they passed onto me, and the fact that they truly do care about your vision. Vision is one of our most important senses and this office wants you to have the best vision possible.

I hadnt been to an eye doctor in about 10 years and was feeling pretty anxious, but start to finish this experience was perfect. I was able to schedule a Saturday appointment so I didnt have to miss work, and when I arrived I went back to optical to pick out glasses. Miranda asked what I was looking for, then set me up with several different pairs and let me pick what I liked best. I came away with glasses that were both stylish and well within my price range. The check in and check out process were both quick and easy, Laine and Karla were great. Once I got to the back, the techs (Sarah and Emily)and Dr Cardwell were professional, friendly, and quick. They really made it a painless experience. Thanks very much for making it so easy, Ill definitely be back!

This clinic is fantastic! From the moment you walk in, youre greeted by friendly, welcoming staff that help you where you need to go. Like any doctors office, appointments at the beginning of the day or early afternoon will go quickest, but the overall wait is not too long. The staff is pleasant and does a great job with any testing or reviewing prior information before seeing the doctor. Definitely makes any eye drops more tolerable with great staff! The doctors do thorough work, always letting you know you can call in if youre having any problems. I dont feel like a bother to them if I need help, I feel respected and treated well.

I love the staff and doctors at Cataract and Laser Institute Kokomo. I have had glasses most of my life . I am a fairly new client. Dr. Cardwell listening to my issues concerning my constant struggle typing for work, dry eyes, and looking through the bifocal part of my lenses to see. I now have wonderful every day glasses in addition to computer glasses/lenses for just typing, which she recommended. If you have never had computer glasses I would strongly recommend them - It is amazing the difference. The office staff and those who helped me pick out frames are all wonderful. Wish I could give 10 stars.

Very nice staff and overall good experience. Great quality doctors. This is a nice place for all your needs whether that be medical exams or something glasses/contact lens related. They offer snacks/water while you wait in the lobby. Provided guest wi-fi. Plentiful selection in optical department for reasonable prices. You will feel very welcome here!

Lied about pricing, behind on appointment schedules, and they dilate your pupils with your contacts in....DO NOT make the mistake of going to this horrible excuse for an eye Dr. Just bc theyre on the nice side of town :/ Walmart wouldve been better....
