Ive been a patient of Dr. Washingtons for several years now. My wife is a Pharma rep, and knows a LOT of doctors. I needed to find a different doctor, and could have went to anyone. But she didnt hesitate to recommend Dr. Washington first. Ive been extremely happy with him, more so than any other doctor Ive ever had. There are several other excellent doctors I could have chosen, but Im glad I chose him. Like many doctors, he has a huge ego, BUT, he also has the brains to back it up. Hes so so so smart that its not even funny. He leaves no stone unturned, but makes excellent choices based off of your insurance limitations. He doesnt drive up the cost to make money. He does what is BEST for his patients. Beyond his over the top personality, at his core, he is a family man, and has the same issues most all of us do. Hes very well rounded, cultured, has strong faith, and loves music. Hes 100mph, but you have to just tell him to slow down and explain something again if you dont get it. Hell laugh, then explain it again until you understand. Hes just outstanding at pinpointing your problems. If it matters, I believe that he is, or was, the Chief of Staff at Howard Community, which is impressive.

I came to this office about a year ago. I needed an "available physician". So far, the office seems closed a lot and no voice mail to state when they are open. When I have reached them, they are full and not able to be seen until almost a week later. I have "always" had an hour or two wait and then a 5-10 minute appointment except for the initial appointment which took 20 minutes or longer. They also referred to Med One once before because of a "sore throat issue". I dont believe this service has been benificial in several ways. I have called five times this week, alone, due to passing a kidney stone. I press 221, or 222, or 223 and no one answers. I saw the ER doctor and he said to follow up with my regular physician for refills on pain meds. Well, it is Friday now and I may not get any refills for this terrible pain. This is the middle of June and there are no holidays. I am not happy.

Dr. Washington is my mothers physician. She could not ask for or find anyone who is any more compassionate and patient oriented that Dr. Washington. His patients come first and that says a lot for a busy physician in private practice. He doesnt hesitate to spend as much time as is needed for her appointments and truly, sincerely CARES about his patients ... I believe in this day and age that is becoming even more a rarity that ever. I am so thankful she has him and his entire (equally outstanding) office staff to care for her with whatever health care needs she might have. Thank you Dr. Washington for setting am exemplary standard and upholding it - your patients certainly do appreciate it (as do your patients family.... me)
