I have had nothing but excellent customer service every time I have boarded my pup (just turned 1 year old this month!) with Petsburgh. I have had two concerns with the kennel, however, but they were both handled in what I would consider the most professional and appropriate way possible: 1 - My dog became superficially injured while staying. She was (and still is!) a very jumpy and curious dog, and happened to snag her toe on the fence while out for playtime. The kennel staff isolated my dog, took her to the vet for a full evaluation, and then kept her separated to ensure that no infection would take hold. 2 - There was an outbreak of a specific strain of kennel cough a few months back. Fortunately, most dogs were spared from contracting any illness because of the prompt cleaning and eventual temporary suspension of boarding care for about a week. I had the unpleasant experience of taking my dog to another (MUCH less-courteous and clearly uninterested) kennel for an out-of-town weekend that I had planned, and couldnt wait to get back to Petsburgh. A company without proper regard for animals would certainly would not close down (imagine all the lost revenue!) to get rid of a disease that was only affecting a small percentage of their clients. All-around, a fantastic boarding experience. They know my dog by name now, and I certainly hope to find a place with as professional a staff once I finish my work relocation!

I recently had to board my 10 month old dog for the first time. I usually am able to bring her with me when I travel, but this was an instance where that just wasnt possible. So I began to search for a place to board her for a night, and was surprised at how many places received bad reviews. Petsburgh Pet Care, however, had fantastic reviews. After visiting their website I went in to reserve her a spot in their boarding facilities and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They told me what vaccines she was required to have as well as all of the TLC options that they have, and even allowed me to tour where my dog would be staying. When I brought her in to stay the night, they were very sweet to both me and my dog and reassured me that she would be just fine (I was a nervous wreck leaving her alone for the first time). Their facilities are gorgeous, with natural lighting and beautiful plants that really made the place seem more like home and less like a dog kennel. When I picked her up the next day she was happy and seemed to be in great shape. I will definitely board her here again in the future!

No Thanks. We had 3 boxers and a rescue boxer enrolled for care at Petsburgh and getting records and getting vaccination information was always a pain. There were frequent scheduling errors and always up selling of services and add on fees, every time we had an appointment there was always something wrong or some thing was miscommunicated or not communicated at all. Services in general are over priced and weve had surgeries where what we expected to have done wasnt, requiring further surgeries in the future. They were unavailable and unwilling to help when we spent a week at the emergency vet with our oldest who eventually had to be euthanized. We have moved our kids to a different vet, and the records we were sent are unclear and incomplete. After years of buying semi helpful and overpriced medications we determined that the care of our animals was more important than proximity to our home. We take the care of our animals very seriously and wont be making recommendations for this office.

I rarely write reviews, but Petsburgh deserves it. I brought my 14 year old cat here last year when he got ill. He struggled a lot and unfortunately passed, but I wouldnt have taken him anywhere else. Dr. Schutes and the rest of the vets are AMAZING at what they do. They are compassionate and I think they are very reasonable with their prices. I have adopted a new kitten recently, and wouldnt take him anywhere else. I trust Petsburgh with any problem my pet might have. They take any sort of health concerns I have about my cats seriously, but Ive never felt like theyve run unnecessary tests that would cost me money, like a lot of vets have done in the past. Thank you Petsburgh!

My dog is very timid around new people and she loved the male vet (which she doesn’t tend to favor men). However, on my second trip to this clinic I had some trouble with my appointment not being scheduled correctly. Which, I understand people make mistakes, but I was still treated rudely by their staff and wasn’t happy with my overall experience, so I decided to go somewhere else. I do appreciate the office manager contacting me to try to resolve my issue, which shows that they really do care. They just need to hire better staff or involve more training. People tend to overlook mistakes as long as you kill them with kindness.

Petsburgh has been nothing short of impressive. They always have availability and can get my dogs in for same day appointments. Their staff is careful to explain things in detail (especially to crazy dog owners like me who worry about everything!). We have boarded our dogs with them and had them in for various shots. They are always kind and considerate. Boarding is always a traumatic experience for me and they made it less so. I recommend them to every pet owner in the area. ONLY downside: a little pricey.

Everyone at Petsburgh treated me and my pet with sincerity, kindness, and respect. Dr. Tom Shutes was wonderful! He very clearly explained everything that he was doing throughout the exam, invited and answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood the medication that he had prescribed. Sheri, the assistant, helped to keep my dog calm, relaxed and safe during the exam. She and the doctor both made the experience very pleasant and I couldnt be happier with my visit.

One of the best places to get your dog groomed and boarded. Very friendly with both owners and the animals. You can truly tell that they care about you and you animal. Very reasonably price for grooming and boarding. However, their vaccination prices are pretty high, primarily due to overhead they have. Would take my dog there to get washed and spend overnight and for any major surgery, however would get vaccinations somewhere else. Overall, a great place!

This was a secondary veterinary clinic I was visiting with my pet, as my primary care facility didnt have access to a medication specifically for my pets condition. I was thoroughly impressed with the care provided and I did not feel that the cost of treatment was unreasonable. Best of all, my pet was doing much better with the right medication.

No matter when we call for an appointment at Petsburgh Pet Care no matter how late or when we call, they always have a spot for him. Our favorite thing is that our dog likes it there as well as everyone there. Its really wonderful and thats how we can tell theyre taking good care of him- he has friends there.

Our dogs are very high maintenance, but somehow the staff at Petsburgh Pet Care takes extremely good care of them. When we board them and groom them we know that they will be well taken care of and we shouldnt worry about them. While they are being boarded we get pictures and updates, which is so nice.
