The hospital allows the nurses to be terrible to their patients. The ob nurse Ursula Was not only rude and tried to say we were beating in our 3 year old daughter who was throwing a fit cuz she didnt want to leave me to the point they called Cps instead of coming in to see if she was okay. ( even tho there was 5 ppl in my room) the night before she also didnt bring me my meds till I woke up crying because I hurt so bad (I had a c section) and even after I asked she took 30+ mins to bring it in if she did. I wasnt brought a tray till I right before I left so I went that whole time not eating or being medicated properly. Ursula was hateful to have to help me up out of bed to toilet. Bailey was amazing but she didnt make Ursula responsible for her actions. An as for the er Doctor doc costick is the absolute biggest joke and most hateful manipulative condescending person u have ever had the displeasure of caring for me. She spinal tapped my 3 month old infant even after I refused to sign the papers she made the security throw me in the waiting room and refused to let me back there with her. All she would have had to do was swab her nose and figure out she had rsv. My son was running sever fevers and cousins breath she looked in his ears and up one nostril and said it was drainage and kicked us out with some amoxicillin. He never got better went into fever sizures I took him back twice and she just had the nurse lower his fever and then send us home she wouldnt even look at him. We finally got into comprehensive health care and he had double penmonia. I went in last year with sever bleeding not abdominal pain a headache so bad I couldnt stand puking fever. She ran a pee pregnancy test and found out I was pregnant. Proceed to tell me being pregnant and bleeding severely and in sever pain was not a reason to come to her er and waste her time and she was stopping all further test and I was gonna go home and deal with it. When I told her she was getting reported and a lawyer was gonna get involved sr pressed as hard as she could in my stomach I said ouch 3 times and pushed her hands off me she slapped my hands and told me to never ever touch her again. And that I was fine and I needed to leave I said your a bad doctor and a crock I am not okay blood clots the size of quarters while pregnant isnt normal. She made security walk me out she refused to treat she said I hit her when it was the other way around. I drove all the at to Corydon got there at midnight and about to pass out to find I had a placenta separation my blood pressure dangerously low and a blood clot in my left ovary vein. I called seriously upset because they had to stop my labor and all she got was a slap in the wrist. Do not go there they dont listen they dont take it seriously doctor Greenberg and Doctor Beachie are the only acceptions to this.

I was in the area for a week and was suddenly passing straight blood in what little urine i could produce and had horrendous back pain. I knew it was a kidney stone, as Id had one in the past. I just wanted to be sure it was small enough to pass. I am chronically ill with other issues and I have never been treated better in an ER. I had my two teen daughters with me, who were permitted to stay with me the entire time, except when I was getting a CT scan. Had the scan results within 15 mins. After initially being examined the dr was also certain it was a kidney stone and was perfectly willing to give me narcotics which I declined as I had to drive. Instead they gave me an injection of tramadol and flomax orally. Within 40 mins I felt MUCH better. The meantime I had the scan and results. They gave me a copy of the CT report to bring to my normal dr 4.5 hours away and an Rx for flomax as I had my own pain meds and muscle relaxers where I was staying. I was out of there within two hours which would NEVER happen in any of the hospitals at home. I also found out from the scan that my gall bladder is full of stones. Ive been having trouble pain for four years that had been totally blown off to a previous bleeding ulcer by my drs at home. I have no complaints whatsoever. Everyone from the woman at reception to the nurse, dr, ct tech was very nice to both me and my daughters.

The ER doc was very rude, acted like I was a Antibiotic junky or something, I was only in there maybe 30 mins or less, I got a bill for nearly $1,600.00 never even laid in a bed, all they did was a piss test, I had a UTI, he gave me a paper script. and sent me home. IU Health says they do not discriminate but they DO against Poor People, you tell them you cant afford the bill, so then they want $100.00 just for you to fill out the papers saying you cant afford their bill. I said, If I had $100. to give you I wouldnt be calling you to say I cant afford this bill. The girl on the phone was so rude to me, she said well if I had a chance to possible make a bill go away I would find a way to come up with $100. OMG I was so mad... I send them what I can afford each month, and they dont like it one bit... I would have to be almost dead before I ever go back to that ER again..

Yoy have your really good nurses and doctors then you have not so good. The air-vac perimedic are the best and I am very thankful for them saving my husbands life on Friday March 8th, 2017. When my husband had a massive heart attack. The doctors on duty at 100:30 a.m. And the skilled paramedics in ambulance! Thank you all very great! Prayers to you all!

Horrible. Unless u have a phyical trauma, dont bother. Basically having a mental breakdown, they dont consider to even be a reason to be there. Also, no matter how bad things are they take FOREVER to see you, usually just to tell u this is no matter for the ER. Sally Stroud {Nurse} is one of the only high points, along with Dr. Beachy.

The ER doctor was condescending, rude, snide, and arrogant. Spoke negatively about us and our purpose for being there--within earshot of me and EVERY OTHER ROOM in the ER. I will not be taking my infant back there for any reason. A real shame--the hospital was wonderful before it was taken over by the IU Health organization.

There appears to be an issue with leadership allowing their nurses to has "hissy-fits" because they have to work. A night shift nurse named Ursela in the OB dept has issues with her temper on the job that has been noticed and her supervisor Bailie needs to hold people accountable or step down as a leader.
