We have been taking our pets to Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital for the last 10 years and couldnt be happier. The staff is always wonderful to work with from the friendly front staff, vet techs and the physicians. Weve had the opportunity to work with most of the staff and have never experienced anything other than a positive outcome. Staff always take time to answer questions and our dogs actually love going to their appointments! The new online scheduling is very convenient and easy to use. This is very helpful when youre working full-time during the day and need to schedule, its very easy to navigate and you receive confirmation of the appointment and reminders. Weve been to other animal hospitals in town, but this is by far the best facility and staff for our dog.

After being woke-up by a sick pet, I called Colonial Terrace and I was told that they didnt have any openings until later. After explaining the condition of my pet I was offered to bring my pet in and the vet would see her as soon as they could. I did that. I dropped the pet off and about an hour later I received a phone call from the vet explaining what could possibility wrong. Long story short; Colonial Terrace kept me in the know about what was going on with my pet and in the end, my pet is home doing very well. Thank you Colonial Terrace for the awesome care you provided to my pet (my baby). Ill continue to bring my pet there and whenever Im asked about where Terrace on University in Dubuque

Dr McCleary, fellow veterinarians, and entire staff are great and I appreciate all they do when I trust my pets to their care. They make them feel comfortable and at ease. This is why I picked Colonial Terrace because there is always a Doctor there and plenty of help. I thank Dr. McCleary and the entire staff for the care they have given to my pets. I have been a customer for 12 years! Colonial Terrace is part of my family! They treat my furry kids with kindness, love, compassion, and Dr. McCleary always takes the time to answer my questions. They have seen my dogs during the night and answered and returned calls after hours! I live in the Quad Cities and continue to take my furry kids back to Dubuque! There is no other vets or clinic that will go above & beyond for your furry kids! Thank you to all of you at Colonial Terrace as you make it much easier for me as their mom to take care of my often sick furry kids!

Ive taken several "generations" of animals to Colonial Terrace, from a puppys first appointment to their last day, and Ive always been exceptionally pleased with the the skilled and compassionate care that we have received. The vets and technicians are like family; they know us by name and when our companions are hurting and we hurt in return, their empathy and kindness sees us through. I cant recommend Colonial Terrace enough.

There are many options for vets around this area. I just got a new puppy and did not know where to go but I chose Colonial Terrace. They were extremely friendly and listened to me and my concerns for my pet. I also got a free goody bag for Remy with lots of cool stuff in it. Their puppy packs are also a good deal so I decided on one of those as well. Dr. Bessine was a very nice, and knowledgeable person.

I have been going here for the past few years every time I have taken my pet she has been taken care of, today however the experience was quite different by the Dr. Kristi Schreiber. I highly advise asking questions about what your fur baby is receiving not just the names of the vaccine but what they are for. My pet was given something she did not need and I was still charged for it.

Any Beagle owner knows they are neurotic about getting their nails cut. Mine takes it to the next level. The staff at Colonial Terrace are awesome about understanding that. The vet tries to get his nails as short as possible so he doesnt have to come back any sooner than necessary. I really appreciate that they care enough about his feelings to do that.

Awful. Took my pup in to get a bloody stool check. Never received a call back so I had to call them and was told nothing was wrong. Days went by and yet there was still bloody stool. Went to another vet where they performed a stool check and discovered he had parasites. My puppy was terribly sick for days due to their poor service.

As always my experience was outstanding! Ive been a customer for 11 short years but will never go elsewhere! We have experienced routine care, surgeries, and passings with this staff. Ive never met a vet clinic so eager to get to know owners and pets! <3 or so willing to come in at any hour to help!

I was in high school when Colonial Terrace opened and I have taken my animals there ever since. The vets and everyone working there take great care of them and I would never go anywhere else. They keep up with all the latest treatments and I know my animals will get state of the art care there!

This is the best place to take your animals. We had 5 dogs going there at one time and they were so supportive when 2 of them got cancer and died. The best was the condolences they sent us when they passed away, caring and compassion they give us. Thanks for all you do

The Drs and staff at Colonial Terrace Animal Hospital are top notch. They have taken such good care of my dogs and are very caring. I highly recommend them along with their boarding facility. I have not tried the day care but feel the same quality is there as well.

Such a great experience during our first vet visit! My kitten, Salem, was so nervous, however that quickly vanished with the loving attention from the staff and vet! Such a great environment! They even have a kitten/cat waiting room, which is totally awesome!✨
