AWFUL, DONT GO, DOESNT GUARANTEE HIS WORK First of all, I went here after receiving several recommendations. I have quite the dental history for my age, and based on friends suggestions I went here feeling really positive that they might help me get my pearlies in order. But, after a couple thousand dollars and more pain, I can say confidently: dont go here unless you have a serious hole burning in your pocket! Dr. Applegate put a much needed crown on one of my molars. Their high-tech no-temporary machine seemed great. But, Im left with a molar that doesnt even feel like a tooth, and 2 years later, it still hurts! My new dentist confirms, its no good, theres a gap. It needs repaired. I traveled back to the area and had Dr. Applegate reexamine his handy work, but of course, he claims there is nothing wrong with it. He filled a tooth next to it as well, which also causes me some discomfort and was according to my prior dentist, just fine beforehand. Next, Dr. Applegate suggested a $6,000 treatment plan. $6,000! I went to two other dentists and received treatment plans of $850 and $1,500 respectively. It seems to me dentistry is entirely subjective, and Dr. Applegate just wants to make your mouth his own. Buyer beware, he has to pay for that Cerec somehow. Personality wise, doc is great... obviously passionate about his profession. However, the woman who handles the finances is extremely rude and condescending. Their policies... ugh, they require you to return calls to confirm appointments, and they call YOU if youre 2 seconds late, thanks Mom!

Dr. Applegate and his staff are top notch. I have been going to Barry for almost 10 years now. The small Covington office is run efficiently and professionally. I cant think of one appointment out of the 20+ Ive had that was late to start (>5min). The staff take personal interest in and care of me. They recall my family, recent events, and take interest in what I do at work. It appears they are keeping up with the latest technology in dentistry. They always make payments easy and manage everything directly through my insurance. They quickly are able to quote my out of pocket costs before I setup a procedure, so I know what to expect before coming back. They even have built in vibrating massage chairs. They send multiple reminders using email/txt/phone so you dont miss an appointment. I honestly brag about how great Applegate Dentistry is to my friends and family! If youre looking for a dentist Dr. Applegate is worth trying!

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Applegate for about 7 years now. We started there when we lived nearby, but now we live in the "burbs" and still go down to Covington for dental appointments. Dr. Applegate and his highly skilled staff are simply the best in dental practices. Its totally worth the extra drive for the best in dental care, most friendly staff, and the spa-like atmosphere makes going to the dentist a pleasure rather than a dread. They use the latest state-of-the-art technology. I had my wisdom teeth pulled right there in the office without being put to sleep which saved us a ton of $. I needed very little pain medicine afterwards too. Weve had fillings and other procedures and its always a pleasurable experience. Thanks Dr. Applegate for running a tight ship with the highest quality product thats extremely customer friendly...rare these days for medical professionals.

Ive been a patient at Applegate Dentistry for 11 years and counting. The hygienists are personable and professional. Dr. Applegate is just fabulous. The work that Ive had done is beautiful and was done pain-free. In previous dental practices I often chose to forego anesthesia because the pain of it wearing off three hours later was far worse than the actual drilling. This is NOT the case at Applegate Dentistry! I dont know how Dr. Applegate does it, but I experience absolutely no pain when the anesthesia wears off. I look forward to my 6 month cleanings and never dread going in for a filling. In my book, a good dentist is worth his weight in gold, and Dr. Applegate is certainly that!

Molly handles billing and treated me like I was privileged to be talking to her. Dr. Applegate wants to do a good job but struggles at basic decision and lets his assistants do work that is worse than his. Bleached my wifes teeth three times until he got it right. He did her caps three time also before getting the color right. Did my CEREC cap twice before getting it close and I gave up. The lab that he uses is out of the stone age and looks like a sweat shop. Bills for his mistakes. Molly quotes one price and bills a different price. I could go on. If you are looking for a dentist that is high priced and that does average to poor work he is the dentist for you.

This is by far the best dentist I have ever had. I first went here in 2007 and was floored by the care, the staff and how excellent Dr. Applegate was. I actually look forward to my visits here! There are no pokes, prods or sticks in your mouth, Dr. Applegate and his staff, I swear, have gone through some sort of additional training on patient comfort. So not a big deal to come in for a cleaning or fillings or what have you. They may be a little more expensive than other dental practices but you absolutely get what you pay for. I have gone here since 2007, and will absolutely continue. The investment is well worth it.

Dr. Applegate and his team are wonderful! I started going to Dr. Applegate about a year ago, and I will never switch to another dentist! I have mad minor and major work done, and I have had a wonderful experience in all cases! My employer switched dental insurance providers last year, which put Dr. Applegate out of the network. I am so dissapointed, but I am not switching! He is very professional and so gentle! I used to get very tense and anxious before dentist appointments, but not any more! He is a great dentist, and he has the best support team in his office!

Best dentist ever. After you schedule your visit, Molly counsels you on your insurance coverage and fees, you receive text messages reminding you of your appointment; upon arrival you are asked if you have any questions or concerns and the dental assistants are patient-centered, as you are prepared for your procedure. Dr. Applegate is quite professional, kind and respectful and has done crown repair on my mother when she visited. This practice is very considerate of my son and I will always be grateful for the care and treatment my family receives here.

I have never been a fan of going to the dentist even though I have nice teeth. I dont like people poking around in my mouth. But Applegate Dentistry is different. The client comfort is of the utmost importance to them. They are not invasive and their use of new technology blew me away. I had some sealants redone recently. I was nervous because I dont like drills, but their procedure was quick and painless. Dr. Applegate and his staff put me at ease. I drive a half hour to Applegate Dentistry because they are simply the best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Applegate for 15 years and am a very large man. They have been very good at accommodating me and have supported me up until I became wheel chair bound. The only negative thing is if you dont have insurance they are very expensive although you might be able to negotiate. I will be returning as soon as I can walk or they get wheel chair accommodations. I need it bad since my teeth are deteriorating. I agree with the other reviews, the staff is great and Becky is a treasure.
