I am writing this review in hopes that it might prevent someone else from having to go through what I had to in this place. I went in to see about getting help with weekly counseling sessions. They outright lies to me about several things during the admission process in order to get me to stay there. During my time there, I witnessed a lot of patient neglect, as well as abuse. They basically just make the patients sit around coloring most of the time. One girl I was in there with was given the wrong medication not once, but three times. She and another girl were also sexualy harassed by one of the techs that work there. You only have to have a high school diploma to be a tech there, and they are severely understaffed. All in all, any stress or anxiety I had before going in there paled in comparison to the stress and anxiety being in there actually caused. If you or a loved one is seeking behavioral health help, please go somewhere else.

I went to Cumberland for 10 days because of suicide and depression, Im a 16 year old from Henderson Kentucky if I had one word to describe this place it would be hell, please for the love of Christ do not send your kids here like honestly I wouldnt go back if I was paid, it was the single worse experience of my life they dont care about the kids at Cumberland hall Im telling you they dont care about a single one of us but if you wanna send your kids somewhere please dont send them to cumberland hall.

The Nurses and Techs were great. They really are the only ones who helped if anyone. YOU ONLY MEET YOUR THERAPIST ONCE A WEEK! YOUR DOCTOR ONLY GIVES YOU MEDICINE FOR YOUR PROBLEMS. THEY LIED ABOUT MANY THINGS AT THE FRONT DESK ITS NOT JUST 3-5 DAYS ITS MUCH LONGER AT LEAST A WEEK and THAT MY FRIEND DOESNT DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. its great to meet people, and have nurses, and tech to understand and give you advice but the assigned therapist doesnt do anything. they meet you once a week.

Want to be abused? Come here where they tell you you are a liar and constantly beat you down verbally and sometimes physically. They had kids as young as 6 here, and they gave him several sedatives. I thought I was going to die there. They suck. Hope they go out of business soon. They need to be shut down. The boss loves to watch the girls through the cameras. Most of the people working here are crackheads. Dont go here.

It was ok. Some staff was nice, some wasnt. I wanted to leave my 2nd week... I was there for 5 weeks. They didnt help because they couldnt find out what was wrong. I wasnt phsycotic I have OCD and extreme anxiety. They werent the ones to diagnosis me... They kept accusing me of lying and I just couldnt do it.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Worst medical facility ever. Needs to be shut down. Understaffed, misdiagnosed, chemically and physically restrained and abused. Assaulted by Incompetent and neglectful staff! Dont be fooled by the smiles and facility!

The Teachers Are Nice And I Was There For 10 Days At The Old Cumberland Hall And At The New One A Month From March To April Of 2012 And A Week In September 2013 And February 2015 For A 24 Hour Hold

The staff was really nice, the environment was great. Although while I was there, myself and a couple of other girls were visited by a ghost named Caroline multiple times.
