As a longstanding employee of The Eye Care Institute for nearly 8 years, I have had many opportunities to have LASIK to rid me of my glasses. Historically, I am not the type of person to have “elective” surgeries, but over time, I became more and more frustrated with my vision and the need for my glasses. I would use them for anything that was closer than an arm’s length away and have to take them off if I was looking far off in the distance. If I found myself without my glasses and needed to see up close, it was a major struggle and would soon result in headaches. This hassle became more than I was willing to deal with. LASIK was becoming more of a necessity to me. My daily life was affected and it was time for me to do something about it. I put my trust in Dr. Guru Pattar to perform my LASIK eye surgery. The staff at The Eye Care Institute is top notch and gave me all the appropriate care I needed for Dr. Pattar to determine my best custom correction. The procedure went swimmingly and I was enjoying a glasses-free life that same day after my mandatory 4-hour nap. I could not be happier with my outcome of my surgery and the bedside manner and treatment from Dr. Pattar. I have been glasses-free for over a week now and have not had any adverse issues. I would recommend LASIK from Dr. Pattar to anyone. I am so excited to be starting my new glasses-free life!

My first visit was disappointing. The doctors are great, and efficient, but the staff needs to work on a sense of urgency. It took two visits before I could place an order for my glasses. The first time I waited for almost 20 minutes for the optician to acknowledge me. He was chatting with another employee and never even looked up to see that there were two of us waiting for him. At the time, I thought it was a patient, so I didnt try to interrupt, and I left. I was finally able to place my order for my glasses on my second visit. I had to call several times before I got in touch with the optician to find out if my glasses came in or not. Its been over 10 business days, and I have been calling for a few days, and left messages with different staff members. However, the service seemed to improve when I went back to get my glasses. There is now a sign in sheet so the optician(s) know who is waiting. I was acknowledged upon my arrival by the optician and was promptly taken care of. I feel they still need to have a reasonable turnaround time for returning phone calls, but I can see they are striving to improve their performance.

I finally had LASIK! I was previously scheduled to have LASIK on December 3rd at The Eye Care Institute. But my measurements were a little off due to dryness. Dr. Pattar said I would experience the best results if we postponed my LASIK. Prior to coming to The Eye Care Institute, I had went to the $500 an eye place for an evaluation and they had wanted to operate on me right then and there.... Plus it wasnt going to be $500 an eye more like $1700 an eye with many treatment options. The whole thing was confusing. I never even met Dr. Smith. I decided to get a second opinion from the kind folks at The Eye Care Institute. I appreciated that from the very beginning they were up front with pricing. They only had one price and it included everything!! Even the drops I was going to need following surgery. If you’re considering LASIK but on the fence due to payment options, and/or fears call The Eye Care Institute. They will take the very best care of you!

Unfortunately, I had a very unsatisfying experience with an intake receptionist on April 4th at 1pm. She was not up to the usual standards of the Eye Care Institute. She was unpleasant and very matter of fact. This woman insisted on getting insurance information that was not necessary and did not stop asking for it until another intake person came over to see what the issue was. I was not getting glasses or contacts so I did not HAVE to provide my social security number to verify additional coverage. In the end, she pushed my identification and insurance card across the counter to me. Also, she did not offer any information about the survey or feedback. I overheard other receptionists telling patients to fill it out. Of course with her attitude and behavior it makes sense she did not want me to provide feedback. Other than this unpleasant encounter, I am very pleased with the services at the Eye Care Institute

Probably the worst customer service I have ever received. This is about the Audubon location. Is it mandatory that you all hire the rudest people ever to staff your front desk? She is one of the worst employees ive ever spoken to. I called to check on a prescription that needed to be verified. This was on Friday 10-5-12 at 8:30 am. I made a follow up call on Tuesday 10-9-12 at 10:00am. She rudely said they couldnt be bothered with that and I needed to talk to a different department. When I ask to speak to that department she said they were busy and to call back later. This is 3 business days of just trying to get a prescription verified. Thats what they do right? Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. (To the eyecare institute) Please remember that your front line people represent you and your business. When you hire a child to staff your front desk expect these kind of reviews.

I had an amazing experience at The Eye Institute from start to finish. I had a lasik procedure in November of 2011 and was nervous going into it because I had never had surgery before. Dr. Meyer and the staff did a great job educating me about every step of the process and even during the procedure he explained everything that was happening in real time. It was very reassuring and helpful. Post-op I was happy again with the resources and education about what to expect in the recovery phase. From start to finish there was never a moment of uncertainty. Ive been seeing brilliantly for almost a year now and its one of the best decisions I have ever made. I would recommend lasik to anyone who is considering it, and The Eye Institute for anyone looking to receive the best service and support.

Amazing!!! I had LASIK performed by the wonderful doc and his awesome staff and I couldnt be happier. Dr. Pattar was a true professional and he has the best staff backing him up. I felt at ease from the moment I walked through the door and I am soooooooo happy to have gotten the procedure. I CAN SEE!!! Adrienne, Sherry, Morgan, Alex, and Jared were great throughout the entire process. From beginning to end took about 15 minutes and it was painless and stress free. They even give you a teddy bear to take home for your prescribed nap. The wife couldnt argue with me over taking that afternoon nap when it was prescribed;) All in all, this was the best experience Ive ever had at a medical office. They really went above and beyond and I cant thank them enough. Keep up the good work!!!
