Beyond belief. I went there for the first time for an emergency situation with my pup. Even though I didnt have an appointment and they were fully booked, they saw how concerned I was and still managed to squeeze me in a couple of hours later. Dr. Zimmer saw my pup for the first time that day, my pup was freaked out and couldnt jump up on my lap, so I sat on the floor with her. Dr. Zimmer sat down on the floor with us to do all the exams and talk to us. She was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. She referred us to a specialist, but still followed up several times that day and called every day since (for a week!) then to check in and answer questions. She even called my father back several times when he had questions... and he lives thousands of miles away. Its not like we had a long-established report with her, she had only seen my pup the once, but she still went waaayy above and beyond to help us. I am so glad I decided to come to VCA that day. I am still amazed and shocked at the level of attentiveness and care she has shown, she is an amazing doctor and person. Thank you so much for everything you have done.

After a dedicated and loyal customer for many years, we recently saw all the new sales pitch given to us. Each time it was something different, food, teeth cleaning, special medicine, special treatments, etc etc. So we decided to change clinics... we did and love the new place (downtown animal clinic).... unfortunately they were unable to board our two dogs and we had no other choice than to use Fairleigh... Worst decision again.. remember two dogs, three nights...... When I got a call from the doctor she informed me they both were going to start losing teeth, and they both needed elderly dog food, and then she told me their blood work was good.... I said what blood work. She said I just figured it was time that and I went on a did the work, along with fecal test and extra test for older dogs!! I told her we didnt authorize this and if she would read our chart we go elsewhere.... she said well they needed it and I will forward to their new clinic.... we didnt authorize any of this!!! PLEASE BE AWARE I got stuck with a $580.00 bill and it had to be paid befor I could take them home!!

I took my dog to the bardstown location when I first got her to get her vaccinated and was very unhappy. Not only was the care mediocre at best, but it was ridiculously over priced for standard care. They have a huge over head on all of the products that they try and unnecissarily sell you on (you can buy them cheaper ANYWHERE) and overall seem to care more about money than they do the animals they care for. In addition to that, if you consider getting a second opinion or taking your pet elsewhere they will actually stoop as low as to 1) Pass judgement on you and insinuate youre a bad pet owner 2) Slander other pet care providers to paint themselves in a better light. I will never take my dog back here again. She can get better care by people who are more concerned with her well being and not how much money they can make off of her. Paying more doesnt mean you are getting more with Fairleigh. It just means... Youre paying more. Seriously... Save yourselves the time and the dollars. Your pets deserve better.

The Fairleigh Pet Center on Bardstown Road is just wonderful. Ive been taking my own beloved furkids and a long list of rescued foster dogs to Dr. Marie for about 15 years. She is a great teacher, and stays current on the latest developments. When she first added new staff, I made sure to still schedule just with her, but over time necessity dictated that sometimes I work with Dr. Brown and Dr. Neat, and they are also just wonderful. I am confident & happy to see any of the three now. I have a very elderly husky with a lot of arthritis in her hips, and who was very depressed over the move from her first home to mine, and Dr. Browns acupuncture made an enormous difference in her comfort and her adjustment to her new life. Shes much happier and more active, ever since. And then there are the wonderful staff members, who know my dogs by name when we walk in -- my dogs think they are going to visit their "fan club" when we go.

I find them to be overpriced and arrogant. Everything is considered urgent, and the front desk personnel act more like salespeople than veterinarians. I have been taking care of animals for 30 years and have never run into such a practice. They make you feel guilty if you dont opt for every single test and medication they deem necessary, and the prices are much higher than other vets I have used. I decided to try them because their hours and location are more convenient for me, but its just not worth it.

I have taken my dog here since she was a puppy. Weve seen all three vets, and they all provided me with the information I needed to crate train, break my puppys biting habit, and keep her healthy. One time my dog became very ill. They were able to book me that day, and even offered to keep her at the vet for observation so I could go back to work. The staff is very flexible and the extended hours are great. My dog was always excited for her visit!

Had a pleasant experience with Fairleigh. Emilee Zimmer was fabulous with our Dobermann. She would call at all hours to check on him and see how things were working out with him. She seemed to never sleep and was always available to speak with us in regards to our veterinary needs and questions. We really missed her during her temporary leave, and still miss her since moving care to a more convenient office.

Dr Neats is hands down the best vet I have ever worked with. So compassionate, proactive and intelligent. When I lost my past kitties, Mout and Lester... They were old...I could tell she was fighting back the tears. She is invested and I cant thank her enough. Now she works with my two Russian blues who are not so easy but her gentleness is untouchable.

Got me in quick, I have to cats that are not sick and they gave me a treatment plan for 472 dollars. When I questioned it the vet got defensive and reffered to my female cats as males They took thier blood with out my consent and then wanted to charge me for it. Needless to say wont be going back.

I have been taking my little Yorkie Lola Bella there for 3 years. Dr. Neat is sweet, caring, kind & considerate. All the staff there seem to care about my baby, my time, her health & our happiness. They are a bit pricey but I have found my peace of mind and Lolas well being worth it.

They are too quick to hand out medicine. I wound up with medicine that I did not even need (which cost $38) and it took over a week to get a call back. Also, they kind of make you feel guilty if you decline any of the tests they offer. I have since changed vets.
