With so many eye doctors in Baton Rouge, I highly suggest you choose a different office. I have been wearing glasses/contacts for 15+ years, I have been to several doctors, and have never had a terrible experience until I went to this clinic. After multiple returns after my initial visit they still could not get my prescription right. I was suffering from very severe headaches on a daily basis, I called the office because I knew it was my eyes, and it took them 10-ish days to return my phone call!!! I went to a new eye doctor and found out not only was my perscription more than a little off, they had completely missed an astigmatism in one of my eyes, AND given me eye drops that never should have been used with contacts in the first place. Please save yourself time and money by going to a different eye doctor. Just a side note: I politely called and asked for a refund since I had to pay out of pocket to see another doctor. They declined stating that they "treated" me. They were willing to see me again but after 3+ times and not getting a return phone call when I was truly sick with terrible headaches, I thought it was in the best interest of my health to seek another doctor.

I have seen both Dr. Achord and Dr. Truitt and I have the highest respect for both of them. I have been seeing Dr. Achord since I was 12 years old, my 8 year old is a patient of theirs as well.I will not go to anyone else other than these 2 eye doctors.They take their time with you and dont rush your exam so they can move on the next patient...they genuinely care. Great doctors and you cant go wrong with them!

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Achord for over 12 years. She is always in a positive/friendly mood and willing to take the time to talk through our eye problems. She doesnt rush through the visit. If you have questions or concerns, she thoroughly explains the possible causes and solutions. I have highly recommended her to my friends and associates and will continue to do so.

The best and friendliest service, would not dream of ever changing. Dr. Achord always goes over and beyond explaining how my eyes have changed and what she is recommending. Even when out of town her staff went out of there way to help me get replacement contacts when someone accidently drank mine.
