Dr. Armstrong seemed very knowledgeable. However, he wasnt very friendly with our dogs and was very forceful when handling them. He kept telling us how dogs should and should not behave like we were in a therapy session. We have an 8 year old beagle who is extremely well behaved except when people are touching his feet and trying to clip his nails. He has always been this way...and you cant teach an old dogs new tricks. Dr. Armstrong was talking to him very sternly and squeezing his paws so hard that our beagle was yelping even louder than initially. Dr. Armstrong was determined that he was going to fix our dogs behavior with one visit and by squeezing him until he stopped yelping...which only made the situation worse. Needless to say my husband and I felt very uncomfortable. The assistant was very nice, and I think she felt uncomfortable with the situation as well. It was not appropriate, professional behavior on his part, and I was very upset after leaving. We will not go back.

Dr. Armstrong is fabulous! I usually dont rate things on the internet but when I saw a bad rating for him I could not let that happen. Yes Dr. Armstrong will talk about behavior or give advice that has worked for him but in no way was it unwarranted advice. I also agree with the fact that he is knowlegeable (VERY) I have never had a problem that he couldnt handle with ease, this is especially true for me because I have a rare type of spaniel and I was very surprised when he knew about his temperment and health history. The best part is that Dr. Armstrong will NEVER do anything unecessary to make a little extra money, he keeps everything at the lowest cost possible which is hard to find with a vet. I gladly travel all the way to the other side of town just to have a quality vet visit with a very personable and caring veterinarian.

My chihuahua Lolo and I love Dr. Armstrong. He is really in the profession to take care of the animals. This is very evident, by the fact, that he does not make money on meds or products that you can buy through pet portals on his web site. He is only firm with the animals to show dominance so he will not have trouble with them. Any dog owner knows this. Love, love, love him.

Excellent Care Our family recently lost our dog of 16 years. Dr. Armstrongs expert care and kind demeanor helped us through the difficult process of her decline and passing. She was comfortable in his clinic, with his staff and with him.
