Ive been a new patient at Strong Smiles Dental Care for the past month and 2 weeks. I was looking for a dentist with convenient hours for me and my family. Dont get m e wrong, I had a wonderful dentist in Dunkirk, who did an amazing job with my root canal and crown. The staff there was very pleasant, but the hours didnt work for me. I was experiencing a very bad pain in my tooth that had a crown. I was debating if to go to my old dentist or try Strong Smiles. I decided to try Strong Smiles, which is 15 minutes from my house and the hours are so convenient for me. I met Karen and Christina, who assist me at the front desk. They were so pleasant and kind it was unbelievable how nice the staff at the front desk were to me. Karen explained all the paper work to me and she was very helpful. Then I met Brandi, who is a hygienist, Brandi made me feel very relaxed and she was very nice and pleasant. She took X-ray of my tooth. She knew I was in pain so she tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible. She was very gentle with me. Then I met Dr. Conlons, who looked at my X-ray and knew right away what the problem was. She told me I had a bad infection she explained how the infection got in the tooth with the crown. She then gave me a prescription for antibiotic to clear the infection. A week or so later I came back to Dr. Conlons to get that tooth pulled and I met Melssia, who is a hygienist. Melissa was so pleasant and kind, she have a very sweet and caring spirit. She talked to me she explained each thing that she was about to do. When Dr. Conlons was pulling my tooth, Melissa kepted me calm and relaxed, while massaging my jaws. Dr. Conlons and Melissa constantly asked me was I ok or was I feeling any pain. They both made me feel Like they were very concern about how I was feeling. Melissa did an amazing job on my temporary bridge. One thing I really like about Dr. Conlons and Melissa, that they really take great pride in their work and they care about their patients. The next day Dr. Conlons called me to see how I was doing. That made a great impact on me. I also met Dr. Chapman, who also did an amazing job with assisting me. I met Nasoui, she is a hygienist, she was very pleasant and kind. All I can say is that they all take great pride in their work from the front desk to the doctors to the hygienist. Keep up the good work! I highly recommend Strong Smiles Dental Care if you are looking for a dentist.

This young staffed "business" company and I do mean that quite literally, saw a opportunity to try to take advantage of me financially. Especially Courtney Hoang. I went in for an examination about my chipped tooth that has given me a tremendous amount of physical pain to my gum and the nerves of that specific tooth. Initially, I put all my trust into them, because this was my first dentist visit for any kind of potential major work that needed to be done at all to my tooth. "The dentist"(Courtney Hoang) and the staff soft spoken approach comes across very trusting and understanding which was emotionally deceptive to let my guard down and sway me to doing a procedure that they probably felt would be most profitable. When I finished getting my x-rays back Courtney Hoang expressed her focus on extracting my tooth because she said it cant be saved, and her suggesting for me to get a "bridge retainer crown", which I was getting ready that day to go threw with, also just to add this procedure requires them to shave/file down two of my good teeth on both opposite sides of where the chip tooth is just to fill the empty space with a fake tooth where my chipped tooth would be if removed and cemented down for placement. I wouldve have to come out of pocket $1,684 even after my insurance covered there portion of the bill. Pryor to this shes made other suggestions for me to have either removable dentures or not have anything there at all after they remove the tooth leaving a visible empty space in my mouth which I was ABSOLUTELY NOT going to go threw with. The thought of me losing a tooth and/or taking a fake tooth out at night at 27 year old is a devastating thought that I refuse to have turn into my reality, which I made quite obvious from the million an one questions Ive asked. I even ask her is there any other alternative procedures that can be done to save the tooth and not once has she made it an option that a root canal and a crown implant procedure was possible for me to save my tooth. Thank You Mom for suggesting me to get another opinion somewhere else. All I needed to get done was a root canal and crown implant which saved my tooth plus the procedure was less expensive.

Let me start of by saying that I am naturally distrustful of dentist due to previous negative experiences at different dentists almost always due to negligence on their part. My distrust was so great that I had resorted to only going to a new dentist every couple of years and never going back because something would go poorly (e.g. being put to sleep without consent, being given the incorrect medication, etc.). I am delighted to say that this will no longer be the case due to Dr. Conlons incredible work, the work of the hygienists and dental assistants at Strong Smiles. Because I hadnt seen a dentist in three years, I had a significant amount of work done; however, they were all extremely accommodating especially considering my prejudices against dentists in general. I was also extremely impressed and happy that Dr. Conlon was able to answer all of the questions that I asked regarding the work I needed to get done as well as post-work care. I have been to dentists who get annoyed with me if I ask any type of question so the fact that Dr. Conlon encouraged me to ask her anything I wanted was absolutely great. I got the impression that Dr. Conlon is new to the Strong Smiles practice based on the fact that she mentioned she was new to the area; however, I had absolutely no idea based on the work she performed and her expertise. I recommend her to anyone in need of dental work in the South County and Annapolis area! I may still distrust dentists in general, but I trust Dr. Conlon and will definitely be returning and keeping her as my dentist from now on.

I became a Strong Smiles patient after moving to the Edgewater area, but I will a patient for as long as I live here for a couple of reasons. First, I was so impressed by the technology used in this office. They dont just tell me I need dental work, they show me why with pictures and x-rays. I cant recall another dental office, within recent history, that has had the ability to do this so quickly and efficiently. Additionally, I have found the advice Ive received from Dr. Yu regarding night guards to be life-changing! At a previous dental office, I was advised to purchase a soft night guard to protect my teeth from my nighttime grinding tendencies. After coming to Strong Smiles, Dr. Yu suggested a a slightly different, harder night guard. After purchasing it and wearing it now for five months, I wish I had purchased a harder night guard sooner. I find the harder night guard helps me sleep better. I also find that when I fall asleep without wearing the harder night guard, my grinding tends to wake me in the middle of the night. Of course, I seek out my night guard for relief! My harder night guard shows me plainly how much I actually grind during the night. If I didnt believe that grinding was a problem for me before, I absolutely do now. I sleep better with the harder night guard in, and would not go back to a softer one if you paid me to do so. I credit Strong Smiles with saving my smile (and a whole lot more). Thank you, Dr. Yu!
