My review is "INACCURATE"? Ill post all the papers to show the accuracy when I have the time. So many "patients" work for this woman, 6 reviews were updated on 8/17 to push down my review, an evidence that Dr. Keer is manipulating this place. This woman is a greedy dentist who cant be trusted. First she cheated my insurance, then extorted me with a price I never agreed with. I chose her as my family dentist early 2011 after we moved to Edgewater. She billed Delta Dental $138 for periodontal maintenance I did not received for my very first visit on 3/12. She returned the payment after I pointed it out. On 4/30/11, we visited her again for my elder sons filling on 2 teeth. I made $83.60 for copay as told and remaining balance of would be paid by Delta Dental. On 5/13, her office manager Zoe sent me an email saying Delta Dental did not cover white filling, but metal filling, and I still had $220 of balance to pay. The next day, we went for my wifes appointment for her filling. The appointment was canceled, as well as mine and my sons one more filling in the future because she did not offer metal filling. I told her she should not charge the submitted amount for the unpaid balance because the average cost for the same filling was only $166.90 for the area as I searched from the insurance fee finder, while she charges $231 for each filling. Then, she offered 10% discount for the $220 of balance before leaving for other patient. I proposed to Zoe I was willing to make up the difference based on the contract price with Delta Dental so that it would guarantee Dr. Keer the same earning. She said she would talk to Dr. Keer. I also tried to make an appointment for cleaning. But she said Dr. Keer would not do that if we dont have the filling treatment there. Later on the day, Zoe sent me an email saying: "I also asked Dr keer about accepting less then the 10% on kevins fill and she is not going to discount anymore. She is not going to accept anything less then what the insurance says you will owe." Irritated, I looked up her estimate before I made the appointment and the receipt after the filling, I found out she received more payment from Delta than she expected because she overcharged me for the copay. Here is the detail: Total charge was $271 for working with an assistance about 30 mins. $53 for "Prevent Resin Restoration", 2x$109 for "Resin-Base Composite" for 2 fillings. I was asked to make $83.60 and $187.4 would be paid by Delta. Delta paid $191, $3.6 more than she expected. The $191 of payment included $33 (allowable charge) for "Prevent Resin Restoration" instead of $53, 2x$88 for metal fillings (2x$109 if the plan covered white filling). Since the insurance did not cover the white filling, it does not set the allowable amount. It stimulated Dr. Keers appetite for more money. She sent me the bill for extra $220 based on 2x$231 for the two fillings, as well as the threat of collection if I dont pay the balance. The greed by the healthcare providers has been driving the healthcare cost, insurance premium higher and higher. However, Dr. Keer is the greediest doctor I have ever met. Some more comment after Jacks review: I stated the fact here. If Dr Keer feels insulted, this is because of what she did. Very interesting, someone defended Dr. Keer the very next day I wrote my review 6/6/11. This place is for real patients, not for marketing! The treatment plan was the "contract" for Dr Keers service and the $271 was my agreement price. If Delta Dental did not pay, I would have to pay all $271. Anything more than $271 is an extortion because I had never accepted the charge of $515 and I had never been disclosed that I would be charged $515 if white filling was not covered by the insurance. If Dr. Keer did not accept the price of $271, she should have contacted Delta Dental to ensure the plan covered white filling. She had all my insurance information before the service.

I found Mayo Dental on-line after going to one of her competitors and I am sure glad I made the change. The entire facility is brand new and I was amazed by all of the technology. I was greeted by the office manager to fill all of the new patient info at a computer. No paperwork! I was quickly taken back to the dentist chair and a digital X-Ray was taken and immediately available and sent to my email account. No X-Ray films and processing time! I was then told to relax and sit back and watch the Flat Screen TV right above my head while I waited for the dentist. Dr. Keer. arrived and gave me a diagnosis of my problem and proceeded to take care of my dental issue. I didnt feel like a patient and was at ease the whole time. Thanks for a great experience and keep up the good work Mayo Dental.

Steer VERY clear. They will sell you anything and everything. Fraud is what its called. They just told me I had 2 cracked teeth, needing crowns. I got several other opinions because my gut told me they had "sold me" on unneeded dental work in the past. Sure enough, the other dentists said absolutely no cracks in either molar. Ummm. I called the office and spoke to Zoe, office manager, who says its a difference of opinion. Sorry, There is absolutely no grey area , your tooth is cracked or its not. Dr Finnegan said 3 times that 2 molars are cracked and needs a crown, there can be zero difference of opinion in that statement. Now Zoe is holding onto my money, until my teeth cleaning insurance payment comes in, again, fraud. Ive called my insurance company on them , too.

My husband had worst time ever with a dentist here. Fist when they administered the novacaine he wasnt numb and felt it to the point of tears. Then when they begain drilling he could feel everything. They went to put in more numbing, the needle broke and sprayed all over him, then when they injected him he could feel thw numbing agent go behind his eye which felt as if someone was squeezing his eyeball from behind with claws. He went blind in that eye for several minutes and had blurred vision for atleast ten minutes after wards. Even after all this when they continued he could still feel everything. He is tramatized. A grown man crying in dentist. Insanity.

Thumbs up ! My entire family goes to Mayo Dental including my friends and we have been completely satisfied with the services at this practice. They really care about their patients and will take the time to talk to you about your treatment. I was provided options that could fit my budget and worked out a plan especially designed for me. They even offered interest free financing which is nice. I can afford my dental work now and spread it over time. They have great hours on top of great services. Thanks Mayo Dental... Great Dentist and Great Staff !

Love this dental office have been going here for several years and never had a bad experience and I am very picky. I have a big fear of dentists but they have always been very caring and helpful with that, never saying or being upset with me about it The office staff is very nice and accommodating . Most of all I have learned to trust Dr. Keer she has never hurt me and is very patient, kind and understanding. I would recommend her and her office to anyone.
