I discourage anyone from taking their pets here. They were horrible with my cat. After consulting with other vets about my cat, I saw how bad West Frederick Vet really is. The vet tech they use for cats, Scott, was rude and obviously did not care about my cat. He wouldnt even check to see if a vet was available to talk to me and just immediately dismissed me. Due to their behavior towards me and my cat I decided to take my dog to another vet instead of West Frederick Vet. The new vet told me that since my dog had corrected a birth defect with surgery months earlier that I didnt actually have to keep him on the expensive special diet that West Frederick Vet had been telling me to keep ordering through them. They were just trying to rip me off and didnt really care if my dog actually still needed the special food. Based on my experiences with this place I strongly advise DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

I can NOT recommend this business due to its staff and its office manager. They treated my dog and g/f like they were second rate citizens. No where did they ever state their policy for getting a dog spayed. My g/f has been a nurse for over 20 years and has her Masters degree. When she was younger she obtained an Associates degree in Veterinary science and Care. She worked for a vet for 4 years. I am sure she is qualified to give our dog shots. How many local breeders do you know that give their own shots? We know quite a few.. We spoke to a few of them and they stated that is why they do not give their business to this Vet. Im sure there are a few accolades that are in favor of this vet, but we took our 2 dogs to another vet. Good luck!

My experiences are in small animals only here but let me tell you, I would come here if they took my insurance. Dr. DiMaria is extremely helpful, as in calling you after shes off to answer any questions or concerns, or say do an emergency gender identification on two baby guinea pigs my girlfriend and I just bought, for no cost. She also is more knowledgeable then any other small animal doctor Ive been to. They dont nickel and dime you, they are upfront and fair when it comes to cost. The technicians are all very friendly and helpful, Clean, modern and comfortable atmosphere, definitely the best Vet hospital in the area.

I am so in love with this clinic! My husband and I are new to the area, and I was so worried about finding a good vet, but it turned out I didnt need to worry! Everyone is so sweet and so gentle with my senior cat (15 years old). She doesnt love the vets office, but Dr. Jackson is so great with her, shes calmed down more than at any other vets office Ive taken her too. Dr. Jackson also is great about following up with calls to see how treatment is going and how my cat is doing. The office staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions I might have. I cant recommend West Frederick Vet enough!

Cant imagine anyone giving this hospital a bad review. I have been a client for almost 30 years and have found them to be knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and friendly. I have found that if there is a question on diagnosis, Dr. Sayler is the expert. I have been extremely happy with not only the doctors here, but the staff too. They are like old friends. My fur babies LOVE them! The fur baby clients of West Frederick Veterinary Hospital are very fortunate that their pet parents cared enough about them to bring them to the best!

We have taken all our pets to West Frederick (for over 20 yrs.). Our cats have always been well cared for. Everyone there is always helpful, polite, professional, explains things well, & appts. are not rushed. I believe they truly care about their patients. Whenever we have had issues that we feel needs urgent attention, they have always bent over backwards to see us quickly, which is highly appreciated. They have always called for updates to check on sick patients.

My family has had 6 dogs in the past ~20 years, and all of them have been cared for extremely well by the staff at West Frederick. Last summer (2010), we had to have one of our oldest laid to sleep, and Dr. Frye was very kind and compassionate during the process. Costs are reasonable, and service has typically been prompt (and almost always faster than we humans get at our doctors offices!). I wish we could get this kind of service where my wife and I live now.

Our dog and two cats generally see Dr. Hennings, but have also seen other vets in her absence. The care here is excellent and I highly recommend them. I find their pricing to be fair. Medical diagnosis has always been spot on. When we lost our beloved first dog the care and compassion was greatly appreciated

I love how the fawned over my dog when she came in, even when she was being rowdy, they didnt seem to mind at all.
