This Office was extremely unprofessional in handling a simple appointment. I arrived with my son for a cleaning and 3 fillings, only to be embarrassed in front of the lobby patients by the billing clerk badgering me with personal question that should have been asked prior to the visit. We were refused service and on top of that Dr. Tjeck (ph)refused to meet with us after a 30 minute wait. I was told to call the manager later which I did 5 times before I was told that she was with the Dr and would investigate the problem. She never called me back. I am outraged at this because my son took off to keep this appointment. On top of this they said he needed a treatment plan prior to service which he had already, but the Billing Hispanic woman asked “what tooth is he having filled”, when this should have been clear from his chart that he was scheduled for 3 fillings. I told her that he need 3 fillings and she said he can only get one today which one will it be? She asked me what type of cleaning I was having done and I said whatever my plan recommended. She said you have not been here in a long time we need to put you on a plan. I asked her to take me to her office to discuss the issue as I did not want the public involved in my issues. I asked to see his x-rays – she snapped “are you a Dr?”I asked to see the Dr at that point. I told her that if that was the case that should have been worked out prior to my appointment. I will be reporting this company to the BBB and The Dental Association. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my 57 years of life. Aside from this, there is an old Dr. Blumingfeld that works with Dr. Kay who rushes the anesthesia in your gums spewing it all in your mouth that causes your throat to be num and makes it hard to breath. I refused to see him years ago and they have not gotten rid of him. I have gone there and heard patients screaming because he rushed them and did not allow the medication to take effect. VERY BAD PEOPLE - MONEY HUNGRY.

I would not recommend that anyone to go to this Dentist office. The Dentist that worked with my daughter apparently does not know how to deal with children, they bill you false charges, and will complete alternative procedures without authorization just to bill your insurance again for a follow up appointment where they say they will complete the actions included in the original treatment plan. I had my grandmother take my daughter in for a baby route canal and three (3) fillings, they only ended up giving her two partial (sedative) fillings which they charged me $130 a piece, and $142 for nitrous. I had already put down $40 for the nitrous at her consultation appointment to hold her space, leaving a balance of $102 for nitrous. They charged me $402 in total, can you do the math (130+130+102= $362)? On top of that, they did not provide a itemized bill of the services rendered, nor did they give my child an excuse slip to return to school, and although the Dentist noticed a slight abscess that required antibiotics, there was no prescription given in any form whatsoever. This is one of the worst!!!!!

If I can put 0 I will. They made me do two crowns on my teeth that were with bad root canal conditions. One crown went off several times. When last time it went off, I could come only after 3 weeks when this crown didnt fit. Doctor did x-ray and said yeah lets put new crown (that costs $750). I declined because I felt its too much for the crown. When I arrived in Russia all dentists were saying that this tooth cannot be treated and should be removed because of vast infection processes in canals. And the other one under another crown that DentalGroup doctor made should also be removed or operated. Im just in shock!!!!!!! These doctors in US even didnt tell about these problems even though they made x-ray of all my teeth. They just want to make money and dont care if person will have to do operation on the teeth that they put crown on. Ridiculous!!! Hate these doctors, wish you and your family the same as you did to me.

Im not a dentist or a dental professional. I went in for tooth pain and a cleaning. I left with a consultation for a root canal in 20 days and way more pain in more places in my mouth than when I got there. My pain worsened. I did some research. Several websites stated that increased pain, abscess and bone issues (visible in the x-ray they took) warrant more expedient action. So I called to see if I could accelerate my root canal consultation. They said theyd call back. They never did. I called them again. I was told they had left a message with another dentist. That was it. Im not normally one to complain, but the increase in mouth pain and symptoms combined with the poor customer service led me to pen this review. Some of the people were pleasant, but the ones that I needed for help were not. I ended up asking them to delete my account and Im getting this taken care of by another dental provider.

My insurance was dropped (or maybe my insurance refused to cover them because they are about 2x as expensive out-of-pocket), and anyway I was not notified, and they didnt bother to notify me in person even after I filled out my insurance form again. They have very nice clerks, but they smile as they take your money, but their computer tells them what to charge and theyre not familiar with why theyre charging it. One lady even tried to pressure me to do unnecessary procedures after I told her 3 times I didnt want to do it. Dr. Haghigi is nice, but doesnt explain anything and is not conservative at all - he makes it seem necessary but doesnt explain other options. I came here because I felt taken advantage of at my last dentist, and told them that up front, but they kept milking me.

Almost makes you LIKE going to the dentist! Ive been going to Dr. DiGregorio and his team for a couple years now. Theyre a great bunch of folks, and Im happy and relieved that I found them. Dr. D and the others explain things very well, so I never feel like Im in the dark about whats going on. The hygienist, Marcia, is very thorough -- after a cleaning I feel like my teeth have been *manicured*. And unlike my past small-town dentist (whom I also liked very much), this group has state-of-the-art imaging and other technology such as a robotic "printer" that sculpts a crown to resemble your old tooth. AND they have evening appointments for those of us who have to schedule after work. I heartily recommend this dental practice.

My 13 year old son and I have been patients at The Dental Group for a number of years now and our experience has always been positive. Both of our original dentists, who we were really happy with, have since left the practice but we have been very comfortable with their replacements. I now see Dr. Figueroa and my son sees Pediatric dentist Dr. Darden. Additionally I have always had a good relationship with the hygienists, front desk and billing staff and am quite baffled by the negative comments here. Are we talking about the same facility? My history with dentists has not exactly been stellar, thankfully I lost that earlier fear since moving to Hyattsville seven years ago and discovering The Dental Group!
