Ive been to several optometrists since moving to back to Boston in 2007 but none of them hold a candle (or come close) to Dr. Cannon. 1. She is extremely skilled and she takes a wholistic approach to treating my eyes. I never gave my eyes that much attention, I had been seeing the same optometrist for years and had a low bar for eye care in general. A friend raved about Dr. Cannon so I made an appointment. At my first visit she took a great deal of time to get to know me, my lifestyle, and my eyes, making sure to understand what I did for a living and how I was using my eyes. I suffer from dry eyes and every night when Id remove my contacts my eyes would be so tired and taxed. At that first appointment she discovered that my contact Rx was actually too strong. After she reduced it (the same Rx I had for years) my eyes were noticeably less tired at the end of the day and Ive felt tremendous relief. I am thrilled. To find the right contact fit she gave me several different types of contacts to sample and did not give up until we found one that fit perfectly (from her perspective), and felt great to me. My previous optometrist never told me I had an option to switch contact brands and (ridiculously) I never thought to ask. Dr. Cannon presented me with several options right off the bat. 2. She truly invests in her patients. Somehow, in this climate of impersonal experiences, she has created a community feel in her office which I love. The patients and the employees are happy and relaxed. 3. She has a beautiful office and fantastic frames. This is both a pro and a con. Every time I am there I want to buy a minimum of two new pairs of glasses. I usually dont write reviews, but when someone stands out from the crowd they should be acknowledged. Its clear that Dr. Cannon takes great pride in her practice, and it shows. She is highly skilled, extremely available and always kind. Throw in a beautiful office and you cant really ask for more! I have referred her to several friends and will continue to happily do so.

I just had my second eye exam here and highly recommend it. I found the staff to be very professional and friendly, and the practice itself to be clean and modern looking. I have seen Dr. Cannon on both occasions and I can honestly say I’ve never had a more thorough eye exam, I didn’t feel rushed in any way which was good. They have a great selection of eyeglasses at good prices. I did purchase a pair of sunglasses (Oakley’s) which I have been very happy with.

Dr. Cannon is great with kids My 5 years old daughter failed her eye exam at the pediatric office and I decided to do research on a few different eye doctors and I am glad that my brother told me about her. She was perfect, my 5 years old is not an easy kid to deal with, but Dr. Cannon made her feel comfortable and happy. I really recommend Dr. Cannon.

The day of our appointment, my 3 yo was grouchy and very tired. I was sure we were headed to a toddler meltdown, but Dr. Cannon was a miracle worker! Really! My son enjoyed all parts of the exam. I didnt know what to expect in an eye exam for someone so young, but it was amazing to see him have so much fun and also get a thorough exam.

I had a great experience with Dr. Cannon and her staff. There was a situation with a patient that Dr. Cannon handled with finesse while I was there. Id recommend her to any of my friends/family!
