I first called in to Bansfield where I actually have pet insurance to see if the could help my baby kitten who was 10 minutes old. My baby kitten was born with its intestants hanging out of his belly. With first no luck with Bansfield the very people I pay to help my kittens denied me help because they were to busy they said and all doctors were tied up I reached out to these people. On the phone a girl Sarah told me to hold on after I explained my story. When she came back to the phone all she had to say was bring all the kittens in with no advice at all while I was on the way to do with my baby kitten. Once I arrived the dr MaryEllen Starble had to help me acknowledge the fact that first I had to pay her $65 for the conversation. I was in aww. I asked politely to please just save my kitten and put her stomach back inside her and we would talk money after seeing time was in fact an issue. She took my kitten and came back out within one whole minuet. She proceeded again to talk money. She said YUP, KOTTEN HAS A BOO BOO! HER BELLYS STICKING OUT. I said no Shi/ thats what Im here for so put it back in before she dies on me please. She said well unfortunately I can not just put it back in. I sai why? She stated, because that cost money, and a lot. I was so amazed that there were a baby kitten dying on her operating table and she refused to help it until paid in full. I stated I have no money at the moment please bill me. She said sorry will have to put it to sleep, orrrrrr you can try filling out this care credit for vets. Of course I was desperate and I tried with no success. After myself followed my fiancé with the same results. DENIED! Mind you this took about 40 minutes to do for filling out credit apps on an automated touchstone phone is time consuming. So my kitten is in pain and dying. Finally after falling on my face, broken hearted and out of options I put my tough guy I dont need anyone ego aside and begged my mom to help me please. She did with no thought for Im her baby and sent me the money via credit card transfer. It was not until I had fully paid where she allegedly worked on saving a life. BUT NOTE, before the whole procedure took place she was telling me there were absolute no chance of survival and kill it. But once the money came she said we might just have a chance. Ten minutes later she comes in to myself and my fiancé all smiles and said, cogradulations she pulled threw. I took my kitten kissed her face and cried just a bit. But as Im kissing her face I couldnt tell if my tears made her cold or if it had been to late and the doctor just cut her pushed her stomach in and handed me back my dead baby kitten. So I asked, why is my kitten not breathing. She said oh shes just sleepy. I said but you didnt give her anastasia so how is that possible. Also how could you operate on a kitten thats wide awake without it in excruciating pain. The doctor stated because she was to little and she was fine to live a long healthy life. Against my own judgement and out of desperation for my kittens survival I fooled myself into leaving the hospital and taking baby home. I was gonna name her miracle, and for obvious reason. Well as soon as I got home I opened up my cat carrier with all my kittens and mama cat inside to find miracle dead and cold stiff. I called the doctor back and told her my kitten was not breathing and she replied well you tried. But since you love her so much bring her by and Ill cremate her for you. I thought it threw actually until I realized she had this planned the whole time. She let my kitten sit so long over money that it was already dead before I paid her. She just cut her open dead pushed her stomach in and glued it back together. Knowing Id call her and she could upswell me the cremation for $280 give or take. Hence the reason Anastasia was never used. There were no need for it considering my baby was already dead. I am not done here this is only the beginning. Im calling the governor if I have to and these people will, answer to what they have done. These people are cowards!

I do not live in the area, but I do watch the Great Danes at the Service Dog Project on Explore cam, Recently one of the puppy danes managed to swallowed a toy rope. Owner Carlene tried unsuccessfully to make the pup vomit to no avail. She called Dr. George and explained the situation he told her to come over right away. Mind you, this is probably almost closing time on a saturday. Thank goodness Dr George was able to induce vomiting without having to do surgery...what a relief. He has helped out Carlene many times when something comes up without hesitation. If I lived in the area, Dr George would be my vet. Nothing but kindness and understanding, something you most want in a vet. someone there when you need him. THANK YOU DR GEORGE FOR ALL YOU DO !!!!

My family has been brining our pets to Danvers Animal Hospital as far back as to when Dr. Rivers owned the practice. We stayed on when George came on board and have always received loving, companionate and top notch care for our family pets. We have now transitioned over to Dr Teague with Georges reduced hours. Now needless to say this was very difficult after working with George for over 20 years, but I have to say he passed muster so to speak. Dr. Teague is very thorough and is good with our Murphy. He is honest about what is going on and listens to understand out point of view of things. We are very happy with the care we continue to receive at DAH. Di & Wayne Gatchell ( Murph and Sally too)

i have gone to DAH forever and will never change. They are the best around.. Story quick, ... My 6 month old Golden mix was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on his upper palat in his mouth. George operated once and the dog lived to be over 13 years old. Two other vets wanted to put him to sleep. BooBoo was Danvers Animal Hospitals youngest cancer patient. I once brought the same dog in for surgery and got a call from the operating room. George told me the dog didnt need surgery and was running around the operating room. Very honest as well!

Love them here! Dr. Anderson is our favorite doctor - our furbabies have been patients of hers for years! She is just so compassionate, kind, thorough & knowledgeable. The other doctors weve met have been fantastic too! You would think their costs would be so much more than a small vets office since theyre a hospital also, but theyre costs are really competitive! Some things might cost a little more, but its worth it. Highly recommend them to anyone - I keep telling my friends & family about them!

A big thumbs up to the Danvers Animal Hospital!!! The staff is always upbeat, friendly, kind and efficient. I have two dogs, a yellow and a black lab and they both actually love going to the vet. Everyone there knows our dogs by name and always make us feel at home. If you are looking for a Vet... this is the place to go!
