They would have had a better rating however after my dogs surgery he was in a lot of pain. We had to bring him back up. This was Wednesday. I get paid on Thursday and because I didnt have the money same day they put me into collections after one day and the worst thing of all was my dog needs cream. They refused till I paid. I understand that they need to make money however not at the expense of my dogs medicine after a surgery. I woke up Thursday and its in collection so I call I need to pay this and get my dogs cream. Its in collection they say and collection is in California which is 3 hours behind so I cant get it before work now. I have been using them for all my puppys needs since he was a baby. They just lost me for everything food and supplies I will go elsewhere and as for the grooming I will not give them any more business and the vet I am done there is no compassion if you can let a dog suffer for one day of not paying. I wouldnt mind watching everyone ban this place and seeing it close. I am so upset that money was more important than my dog. Never again will I ever do anything with these people who obviously only care about one thing!

Banfield in general honestly is not as good as they write about on their website. However the Banfield in Salem, MA is terrible due to one of the Doctors with a very unproffesional attitude and personal appearance. I brought my dog in due to an emergency and bleeding all over the floor just for her to tell me that she is too busy to take care of him and that I would have to drive further to another hospital to have him taken care of. Mind you I had him there the day before because of this incident and they took him in but this so called doctor had no time to simply stop the bleeding and bandage him up. Instead she wasted her precious time arguing with me while he is bleeding and when I told her to please just stop the bleeding and bandage the wound she stated that she has no time to bandage it. There is so much to her negative attitude and sarcastic answers and total lack of care for my dog. I hope no other owner and their pet has to go through that. If you are thinking about this place do NOT go. There are far better places then here all they want is your MONEY they have no care for the pet/s

This hospital is very inhumane to the animals they treat . We have an older cat and needed her to be seen as soon as possible . They told us they could not squeeze her in or that any doctor could see her until 2 weeks. They are also very disorganized with ordering medicine. Theyve changed doctors so many times that paperwork would always be lost . Our cat needs certain pills everyday and theyre always late and never have them available the next time we need to refill. I would never suggest this place to anyone .

I take my little dog Franklin to Banfield pet hospital he loves it. His vet is the best and the techs they are very attentive to not only Franklin but me as well. No matter what time I call or bring him in because I always worry he is my baby they always get back to me and never make me feel like a hypochondriac. I would never bring him anywhere else. Its nice to know that you do not have to be rich to take care of your dog thank god for Banfield and there affordable monthly payment plans.

My experience with the Salem Banfield Hospital has been fairly good. I have been a little dissapointed with their customer service...I am always place on a long hold when I call and its impossible to get an appointment last minute since they are always booked weeks in advaced. Other than that, everyone is very nice and seems like a great place to bring my dogs.

Called to make an appointment in the morning for my cat who had ran away and came back with scratches and a limping leg. Told me I could come in in the after noon. Called later on like around 1 and told me I didnt have an appointment or couldnt come in till AFTER THANKSGIVING.
