I had scheduled a cleaning being a new patient of Baystate Dental. I am also a new member of Delta Dental insurance. I hadnt had dental insurance for a while and when I finally got it through my college, I was under the impression I could use it at any practice that accepted it. I called and set up an appointment where I was asked for my insurance, group number, group name, card info, etc. So from there I was promised my insurance would be applicable. I went in for my appointment and gave them my card and ID and began filling out paperwork. When I was through with the paperwork they told me my cleaning wouldnt be covered under my insurance because I didnt have them listed as my primary care dentist. I understand that this wasnt 100% their fault but it was a little agitating as I wasted a lot of time with them just to be denied. The secretary was also pretty rude.

Its been a while since Ive visited the dentist. I always put it off for a few years because I was so afraid of "the dentist". Obviously I didnt have good experiences. I started going to Baystate Dental a couple of months ago for a cleaning and X-rays. That day they were awesome. Totally new experience for me. Today I had to get cavities filled. I was sooo nervous and I gotta tell you I can actually say I love going to the dentist now. I feel so good right now and cannot wait till my next appt. You guys are phenomenal at Baystate Dental. Thank you so much for making me feel comfortable and reasssuring me that the dentist doesnt have to be a scary experience. You guys are great! I will be sending my adult son there & anyone else that is looking for true professionalism dentistry. Thank you so much!!! -Linda Landry

I had a great experience. Kevin Coughlin is very nice, efficient and professional. I was taken in on time for my appt. and had three cavities filled within 45 mins. He fixed one of my front teeth and it looks GREAT! I am soooo pleased with them. I am getting all my work done with them. Also, I have horrible anxiety especially with the dentist, having Kevin as a dentist was great because he was able to recognize the severity of my anxiety without making me feel bad about myself. He gave me a pill to take the night before the work and the day of to help with my anxiety. I also had the nitrous oxide. I felt very safe and well taken care of. Thank you Kevin!!!! Ashley S.

I brought my 7 year old daughter in for her routine cleaning and x-rays for which she was a little apprehensive. But Gina, a hygienist at the East Longmeadow location, was patient and kind, even making her laugh with a funny reference to Finding Nemo. She completed all the necessary preventative care, including 3 sealants and my daughter left with a toothbrush in hand and a smile on her face. Thanks, Gina, for making her experience such a positive one!

I feel the service I received was OK. I was there because an implant that cost me upwards of $5,000 and got about 1 year ago fell out. The same dentist that put the implant in re-put the implant in and I wasnt really impressed with his attitude. To be honest, he was not rude or anything...I just wouldnt feel comfortable with him putting another implant in for me. I think I would go to another facility if that should be needed.

Great experiences over the last year, especially with Dr. Coughlin at the East Longmeadow office. I love the fact that they have a 24/7 on-call dentist for emergencies - it saved me a trip to urgent care over the holidays. Theyve been great at giving me all of the treatment options, and then working with me and my insurance to figure out the best course of action. Would definitely recommend.

This place is always great. Technologically up to date (which as a tech guy I love) staff is just friendly as can be. They make you feel like your not at the dentist but at a friends place. Mind you you know your having dental work done but the atmosphere is friendly and hey care about you and your oral health without being judgy. Highly recommended! Go there and dont look back! Jason

eficient staff, but my last visit I didnt even see the dentist because he was running so behind. Also I agree with the other review, very money oriented not exactly a quality of care type of place. This is fine for my regular cleanings, but I will be taking my kids elsewhere for their dental care.

As a new patient, they fit me in quickly for a broken tooth .The staff does everything they can to make your visit as comfortable and painless as possible. Dr Coughlin extracted a tooth and it was quick and painless. The cost was reasonable too. Thank-you Dr Coughlin,Gina, and Ana!

Very friendly atmosphere, great Dentist (Dr. Kapoor), took time to get to know me - even said he likes to get to know his patients and you can see that. I was not rushed, all staff was pleasant. My only complaint is that I did not start going here sooner than I did.
