Dentists are great, billing practices are borderline illegal. Went here first in may, got a bill on 5/22, okay great. Then had several more appointments (I needed a lot of work) in June and July - no bills? Every time I went in I paid what they asked, and asked them, "are you sure I dont owe you anything else?" "No, no," they ssaid, "insurance will pay, were waiting on insurance." My last visit was on 7/11, on 8/18 I get a bill for close to $1000!! I call them and they say, oh, we TOLD you youd owe more. Um, no you didnt. To top it off, the hygenist broke one of my fillings during a cleaning and it now needs a crown, guess whos denying that ever happened? West Newton Dental Associates. I wouldnt wish them on my worst enemy.

I went to West Newton Dental for a cleaning and check up (it had been a while since Ive been to the dentist). Cant say enough great things about my experience! I saw Betsy for my cleaning. She was super friendly, and gentle. She had some concerns about the state of my gums, and recommended I see Dr. Epstein. Dr Epstein was fantastic. He was very gentle (Im a bit of a dental-phobe), was really thorough, and didnt use fancy terms to try to explain things to me. He told me about some issues I had going on, and offered a pretty easy solution. All in all, the staff that I had met from the front to back were all very friendly and caring. Im glad that I found a really great office who really seem to care about their patients!

I have been a customer in West Newton dental for almost 2 decades. At some point I tried another dentist, but decided to come back to West Newton, when the advice of the new doctor and the cleaning were not meeting my needs. I have never had any issues with billing and in fact when one of my filling that was done by West Newton doctor cracked after couple of years, it was replaced with no charge new filling. I am happy with the service and I believe that the advice provided is conscientious and not a money grabbing opportunity. I would recommend West Newton to anyone who is looking to take good care of their teeth and not spend a boatload of money

I have been going there a long time, like 13-14 years. Have always thought highly of them. Nobody is perfect but any issues were minor and infrequent. I do want to share one story from my most recent visit. I had a gum procedure done and after was using the prescribed mouth rinse. This stained my teeth fairly badly and on the subsequent check in visit they noted this and offered to give me a free cleaning, which they did and got rid of all the staining which I otherwise would have had for 5+ months until my next regular appointment. Didnt expect it and was very grateful they did it.

I have to say, the customer service I experienced at West Newton Dental Associates was fantastic. Everyone there is friendly and professional. My hygienist (Jackie) was great! My teeth never felt so clean. And, I got the most thorough exam that I think Ive ever gotten with Dr Lee. They talked to me about a few issues, but I never felt pressured into any treatment that would address those issues. They gave me plenty of time to ask my questions, and I feel like Ive made an informed choice as to how to go forward with my care. Overall great experience, and highly recommended!

Pretty descent dental clinic at the heart of West Newton square. Doctor Lee did a very nice job on my bridge and seem to be a very nice person as well. They dont accept all dental insurances, so make sure you call and talk with one of the front desk ladies there and they will explain everything.

25 years of excellent dental care...and I stress the word CARE. The scary fact is that Ive been a patient for so long that Dr. Neil Epstein operated on me 25 years ago and his then young son has followed in his footsteps and performed surgery on me this Fall.

Ive been a patient there for over 15 years. Theyre friendly, keep up to date, offer a full range of services, and are consistently good in spite of some staff turnover. They dont use mercury amalgam fillings.
