I wish I could leave a post with zero stars. I do need to add a disclaimer, that the office manager Jennifer is PHENOMENAL and I wish the rest of the staff was as educated, kind, and professional as her. I decided to go on accutane. I have been on it before so I understand the registration process and all of the steps involved. To save lengthly details, I completed the process and did everything I could on my end just to find out that after the 30 day waiting period, when I was SUPPOSED to be starting my medication, that the office did not file my paper work properly with iPledge and that there was no way around it, I had to wait another 30 days to start my medication. They assured me that everything was taken care of and in 30 days it would be a simple and quick process and I would be on my medication. My frustration started with my NP coming into the room and saying "Oh wait....so you havent even started the accutane yet?" After I explained the situation and that I just needed another pregnancy test to get started, she said she wasnt sure if it was urine or blood or both and that she would check.I brushed it off and appreciated her admitting she wasnt positive but would find out for me. She even offered to have them come draw my blood in the mean time to save me some time. After a few minutes I hear a mans voice VERY loudly talking about how he has no clue what is going on. He has no clue if I can even start today or not, he has no idea what is going on. After hearing this exchange, that was pretty much my last straw. I had already given the office another chance after my start date was delayed due to the paperwork not being filed properly with iPledge. The office staff did not even have enough professionalism to ensure that after one mistake, they were prepared the second time. I did not raise my voice, but I came out of my room and said that I was leaving because its unsettling that no one knows whats going on especially after I was contacted to ensure that I would give the office another chance. Call me crazy, but I assumed that if a mistake was made once, extra efforts would be taken to ensure that the same mistakes were not made again. I said I wasnt willing to move forward because if I cant trust the office I am using with paperwork or even to all be on the same page, how am I supposed to trust them with such a serious medication? At that point, Dr. Grekin, my first exchange with him ever, started yelling at me, in front of his whole staff which I can only assume is a regular occurrence then, called my "claims about trust absolutely ludicrous" and that it "was not their fault at all, its the federal government and the paper work and if I have a problem to call my senator." No apology, no accountability, no empathy for the frustration I was feeling. The doctor with his name on the door raised his voice at me and then tells me to call my senator. Well, I sure cant file the paperwork myself, so then whos fault was it? I do not work with the office staff day, my name is not on the office door, so whos fault it is that the office staff is uneducated on a product and the procedures with it that they prescribe to patients? The office manager, who does not have MD after her name was more knowledgable than Dr. Grekin and the NPs that I dealt with. Now thats a scary thought. I scheduled all of my appointments on Saturdays and later to fit in with my schedule. Since the mix up with the paperwork, I had to miss time at work to come in the office today. When I called the office back to speak to the one I originally was dealing with just to update her on the situation someone else answered. He said he was just about to call me because my prescription was called in and I just need blood and urine done. Why on Gods green earth would I fill a prescription and start a very expensive regimen of treatment with a doctor that just acted like an irrational, condescending, abrasive jerk and is too proud to call and apologize for his behavior himself?

Wait time can be lengthy. Upon my first visit months ago, doctor was anxiously awaiting to leave room after 7 minutes, body facing door with hand extended towards door knob while I was asking questions. I asked Dr. to look at a spot, after 3 seconds without any explanation, information or hesitation, Dr. immediately grabbed bottle of liquid nitrogen to freeze the tiny area with a Q-tip dipped once in bottle, Ive never had this done before & did not know what to think. Assistant answered the 2 questions I had about what to expect concerning the 3 dab procedure & she was half way out the the open door behind the doctor. With no full body check, appears $180.00 is standard office visit charge and 3 second procedure is at least $130.00. Of course you pay insurance deductible before you leave, if you have one. Checkout desk person was friendly as was the Dr. & assistant, just, in a hurry to visit next money source. And most people still wonder why medical insurance is so high.

I have mixed feelings about this place (Wyandotte branch). Ive been going for years, and the doctors are very kind and do know their stuff. That being said, for me thats not the issue. The negatives are ridiculously long wait times regardless of day or appointment time, curt and at times rude office/desk staff, very short doctor visits (waiting 30+ minutes just to get into the exam room, only to have a <5 minute visit), and the likelihood that you will see a med student/resident instead of one of the in-house docs unless you are there for a more serious issue. I still am a patient though, because as Ive said, the doctors are great and theyve always been able to handle any skin question/issue Ive presented.

Ive been coming to Grekin for over a year for a handful of acne related issues. I see Dr Rubin and am very pleased with his competence and communication skills. I give the facility 4 stars for a few reasons. Pros: - I can usually get in within a few days when an emergency arises - streamlined visit procedure - good doctor, kind nurses - some Grekin skin products (like the refirming gel) I swear by Cons: - on a busy afternoon I have spent an hour in the waiting room - my doctor is only there twice a week That is all thanks.

I went In for painful bumps on my stomach. I was prescribed a $600 product that got changed to something else due to price which was then switch didnt work. Another $75 office apt with no insurance to be given another $400 prescription, changed to $100 one which burned my skin off called the office for help they stated to stop the meds (clearly I had already) and they couldnt help me I had to book and pay for an appointment. I now have no skin under each breast open and raw with my stomach blistered and I cant wear pants.

Ive been going there for 9 years and wouldnt go anywhere else! The first time I went in the doctor, Jan, told me what was wrong with me (pcos) within 5 minutes and referred me to an endocrinologist where I found out my insulin was very high. I had horrible acne and they cleared my skin with pills, topical creams, and fruit acid peels. I usully dont wait long but sometimes it can be a wait. I also have never had to pay, it all goes to insurance. I highly recommend this place, specifically jan!!
