I was not treated as a valued patient; rather, I was treated as a run-of-the-mill slug by Dr. Standly Grandon. I didnt sense a great deal of concern for my visual needs. I went there for a standard eye exam, which was cover %100 by my insurance. Much to my surprise, Dr. Grandon billed the visit as a medical procedure so he could bilk my insurance for more money, which resulted in me owing a co-payment. I payed the co-payment because I do not need my credit rating jacked around for a punk ass $37.91, and I am happy to say paid him with rolled pennies. In short, I do not like the bait and switch practices the eye surgery institute employed on me and my insurance company. Also, I was VERY DISSATISFIED with the impersonal treatment I received from Dr. Standly Grandon. I will never go there again, nor would I ever recommend the eye surgery institute to anyone under any circumstances.

HORRIBLE, RUDE & CONDESCENDING eye technicians, but Dr. Kronenberg is the best. I came in for dry eye treatment, and the technician told me I have a lazy eye while Dr. Kronenberg confirmed I do not. The second eye technician that I saw (Diane) was incredibly rude. I asked her to explain what she was doing, telling her I have very severe health anxiety, and she basically dismissed my questions/concerns & carried on with her evaluation with an attitude. Dr. Kronenberg, however, was fabulous! Very sweet, caring, and reassuring. I would recommend Eye Surgery Institute because of Dr. Kronenberg, but seriously beware of the eye technicians as they dont seem very competent and can really freak you out, making you think you have conditions you dont have.

Ophthalmologists are supposed to care about your vision. Grandon cares only to over correct vision with RK ( yeah I had him do mine back in the day) so you get good results immediately. That leaves you with the impression this is permanent. However in his zeal to get initial good results, he knows hes setting you up for severe corneal flattening and poor vision in the future! Run from him and do not get this done. Mine lasted 5 years and I was in glasses again. Think its just me, think again. Ive heard many horror stories from physicians who know him and see his patients in the future with their botched vision. He doesnt care and is a billionaire to boot.

I highly recommend the Eye Surgery Institute! Dr. Kronenberg is wonderful. She is patient and truly cares about her patients and their needs. When I am there, I feel as if I am the only patient she has, even though I know she has many others to get to. The front staff is always helpful and friendly, as well! I have worked with their optical department and have always had positive experiences, as well. Youre missing out on great medical care if you dont use the Eye Surgery Institute!

My wife was seeing Dr.Kronenberg at Eye Surgery Institute and her care was excellent so I switched my ophthalmologist to Dr. Kronenberg. I couldnt be more pleased. Dr. Kronenberg is extremely professional and thorough. She explains everything completely and takes her time to make sure I understand. She and her office staff are pleasant to deal with and the overall experience is a good one.

Excellent doctors, excellent staff. Dr. Kronenberg is extremely thorough when she does an exam and explains things completely. She also answered all my questions and I never felt rushed when I asked a lot of questions. The staff is always friendly and efficient.
