I used this clinic for several years until 2014. My cat was losing weight (went from 6 to 3 lbs) and was very sick, vomiting all the time and not able to eat. After several visits and testing I was told my cat had kidney disease and wasnt offered much in treatment other than she would continue to decline. In June 2014 I finally decided to seek a second opinion. My cat was so ill she could hardly move and I was literally watching her suffer and die. I knew there were options for fluid therapy and Vitamin B shots and I was not given anything other than AD cat food for her to eat. My new vet ran all the normal tests and discovered my cat had very elevated thyroid levels. The highest he had ever seen before. NO TEST had ever been run on her thyroid before. This is a easily treatable condition with daily medication. And the kicker? My previously diagnosed "kidney diseased" cat had perfectly normal kidney function. My new vet came to that conclusion reading the test results Town and Country forwarded him from earlier in the year. Its as though no one even bothered to read the test results. It is a year later and my cat has regained all her weight, hasnt vomited in months, and is healthy. If I would have continued to bring her to this vet, she would be dead today. The vet was great over the years for vaccinations and boarding... I even had a dog successfully treated for heartworms. I was a frequent customer. I never had a life or death experience with any of my pets with this vet prior to my sick cat, and when it came down to the line, they failed us. I would definitely not recommend. If I could give no stars, I would. UPDATE: Its 2017 and my cat is still doing well with her thyroid medication at the ripe ole age of 17. Thank God I got a second opinion and thank God for Dr. Roth at Bayview Pet Medical and Dental Center.

This place used to be my Vet for a few years when I moved to the neighborhood. It all seems very nice, but like alot of complaints of other vets, it seems they are just out for your money and trying to get you to spend way more than you should on your kids on services that you dont need. I would board here occasionally, and would get my dogs shots updated here as needed. And every single time they had to go there, it seemed more and more expensive, and they kept bugging me to to buy services, that when asked, they would tell me I really didnt need. (ie, Them: Would you like xyz done while your dogs are being boarded? Me: Um, is it necessary? Them: Um, no, not really.) I work and everything, but Im not made of money! Hmmph! And on top of that, like a typical bar owner taking advantage of drunken patrons, would pad the bill on unsuspecting patients/customers. The last straw was the last time I had to have them boarded, to which they had to have their shots updated at the same time. When I went to retrieve them and pay the bill, the lady said its (whatever the amt was- several hundred dollars for a few days boarding for 2 small dogs and updated shots), and I thought it was kind of high, so I asked to see the explanation of charges, so she printed it out, and then and only then admitted to some of the charges were false and took them off. This place is just out for your money! I know any medical office is still a business, but still this is ridiculous! Not trust-worthy at all!

Town and Country Vet is an excellent place to take your pets. They are the only vet in the Gulfport/Biloxi area that is AAHA accredited, which is an indicator of their high quality. The staff are very knowledgeable and treat your pets as if they were their own. We had our puppy spayed at Town and Country and she had minimal recovery time, minimal scarring, and never needed a space collar. Her litter mate was spayed at another animal hospital to greater expense and with not as favorable results (including a strange scar). As for the other user who claims this vet is out for your money, such an inflammatory remark strikes me as just that. An error on a bill is not cause for slander. Your pets must be up to date on their shots in order to be boarded, otherwise they are a health risk to other animals. Yes, shots can be expensive, but they are a necessary expense. The user said nothing about the health or happiness of their pets after boarding. Have you ever boarded a pet only to pick it up and find it scared and scarred? When animals are boarded at Town and Country, they are taken outside to play 6 times a day. Town and Country also calls to check up on your pet to make sure they are recovering well. An excellent and reliable animal hospital with knowledgeable, kind, and friendly staff. We are a military family and will move soon - I wish we could take Town and Country with us!

I am not from this area but every February and March we come down for the Gulfcoast horse shows. I travel with my three dachshunds and work with the show horses. This year my trip to Mississippi held many challenges. My little brown doxies began to experience back problems which is not uncommon for that breed. The horse show veterinarian referred me Town and Country clinic. Can I just say ,I was totally blown away by this professional team! Dr. Woody is amazing! He is kind and his way with animals is very reassuring! I know my little doxie is going to get better. She has already shown improvement under his care. I would and will continue to send others their way!

I have gone to Town & Country for over 11 years now and would never trust another vet to care for my now-elderly dog like they do. They are very loving towards her and especially now that she is old and cranky they are extra sensitive to her needs. Ive heard its not the cheapest on the coast, but you cant put a price on knowing your pet is getting excellent care. My dog has had a few surgeries over the years and has several health issues now. They have done so, so much for her when other places may not have.
