READ HOW MY VISIT WENT AT VOGEL! Very super upset on how the employees acted and treated me like I was gonna do anything they say & rip me off. She and the Veterinarian acted like I was dumb and tried charging me double AND sent me a few types of medicines to do it myself (I have to scoop up my kittens poop (dirty work) and bring it to them fresh as can be while printed on the BOTTLE where you put the kitty poo in says directly on the bottle " VETERINARIAN USE ONLY" and paid over $200 while all they did was use q-tips and some type of oil to help with my kittens ear mites and she didnt do a good job either. & then finally the vet-man came in and was very friendly & polite. He gave the kitty a lil drip of flea med the top of kittens neck, next gave him a tablet pill down his throat & then a vaccine shot. Also, clipped kitties nails very professionally & made it loook so easy. Then we were pretty much done. Vet leaves room & then the lady came in with another vaccine and was ready to clip the kittens nails when the VET-MAN just did. Not profession at all, lady... sorry. & then when we got the money deal set up around $200 THEN she said i had to pay another fee of a bit over $100 when i come back in. I even told her this isnt right & doesnt make since, paying this much $$ on stuff I totally couldve done most of it at home And she even said "i understand".. & she pretty much agreed with me.. She tried giving me a kitten deal and she didnt make it sound simple because it was all wrong! Two words: Just bc im new too your hospital doesnt mean you can take advantage of me,. She knew what she was doing to me and the vet-man got out of there quickly. Also, i read online kittens arent suppose to have vaccines til their 14-15 weeks.. Everything they told me, i already knew. Im very upset, wish i never checked in. I couldve of done most that myself & saved that money for something more worthy. My kitten is only 8- maybe 9 weeks old. I honestly dont think im going back but if i do itll be my LAST. Just to inform people with kittens.. using google to find out how to use home remedies work just as well! You can buy ear mite medicine & flea cleaner at a local shopping store cheap. I had NO clue it was gonna be sooo much $$ for effortless work that took less thaan 30 mins including the waiting. So.. the money deal and sending me home with 3 dif meds, i DONT wanna stick a needle in my kitten! IM not a VET! and shove a pill down his throat. and the poop deal just isnt fair at all. But the employees were very generous. But hated how they were trying to make me spend as much $ as possible for effortless work & making me do the dirty work!! ARRG I shouldve just waited a couple more weeks and just did the vaccines & I couldve done the rest. Im sorry.. I hate giving bad reviews but Vogel Vet Hospital totally asking for way too much and still make me do the work. Orrr am I wrong? Is it suppose to cost that much and still have me do the work?? Correct me if im wrong?...

Vogel Veterinarians maybe good Doctors of Veterinary, but their office staff is lacking, predominately in communication. Early in June my family and I were planning a short 4 day vacation out of town. Of course I called Vogel about boarding. I was told that our precious pet would be walked, played with, taken out on a regular basis. I also wanted to have her extra baby teeth removed and for her to be micro chipped at that time. I was told how much the boarding and surgery would be and that I could pay half now and the balance within 3 weeks. I agreed and wrote the deposit check to take the day we took our pet in to board (the afternoon before our departure on Sunday). My daughter took her in that Saturday afternoon and spoke with another staff member. They told my daughter that our pet would be predominately caged for the full 4 days. Yes, they take them out of the cage to go outside but they are not a "pet day care". My daughter rescheduled the surgery for another day, left the $150. check as a deposit and brought the dog home. We took her on vacation with us. The Saturday before our pets surgery on Monday, I received a reminder call from Vogel reminding me of the surgery and letting me know the balance remaining must be submitted on a "hold check". I told her I had not been told that, but that I had up to 3 wks to pay the balance. She told me that was how they did it and that would be "the only way they would do the surgery". I told them I was nervous about this practice and that if they cashed that check it wouldnt be good. After promising me they would not bank the check until the date on the check, I wrote the check, dated it for a week later and sent it with my daughter when she picked our dog up after her surgery. I was shocked to find they HAD CASHED THE CHECK A DAY LATER!!!! When I called the office and spoke with the Vet, he pretty much blamed my daughter for not telling them it was a "held check" even though it was dated for a week later and noted in the file that I was bringing it in. Now the office staff has pretty much compromised whatever trust I had with both the Doctors and the staff. When I called to inquire about getting copies of her records so that I could take them to another Vet. The said "ABSOLUTELY, NO PROBLEM" in such a way they could care less. I feel the integrity of this office is not where I could place my trust in care for my precious little dog.

I moved to the area late last year, so I needed to change where I was taking my dog. I called said I needed to get up to date with whatever she needs, had my previous vet send all of Avas (my dog) records over. All she was up for was a heart warmer. Great, took her in got it done fine. Went to call Petco a few months later to make a bathing appointment. They called Vogel to get her records and Vogel told them that Avas shots expired in 2014! So they called to cancel my appointment. I was so upset because I knew they had not. When I called Vogel they claimed to me that they had no previous records of Ava only the appointment we had. "SO you took my dog in told me what they needed without ever receiving the previous records?" I asked. (Which I knew they had received them because we discussed it before and during her app.) Her only answer was we must have gotten the records saw what she needed and no one ever input the information. Someone had to have literally seen the fax of papers and threw them in the trash before checking to see if they were entered? And you mean to tell me that someone told another company that they expired when really they had no record so how could you tell somebody that! I know this is a rant and I never do this kind of thing. But when your dog is your child and you trust them to the professionals thats suppose to take care of your dog and they make so many little mistakes its hard to trust them. They didnt ask how can I make this to you, just kept making excuses, oh hes new, oh we messed up and didnt put it in. Thats not just a oh we messed up one time, that is obviously were a mess over here and get things done right! How are you suppose to trust their doing anything right! I am so disappointed!
