Sadly we had to put down our beloved lab last week. Our vet did not have availability for this until Monday (we called on a Thursday), and we called AMCMA and they got us in the next day. We were quickly escorted back to the exam room, and the vet came in to interview us (and, I assume, make sure we werent making a rash decision that wed regret). She was quite kind to us as we were an emotional wreck. Casey had an IV placed quickly, they returned her to the room, and I was able to hold her while the medicine quickly and apparently painlessly stopped her heart. We were verbally comforted by Dr. Fahnestock before we left which was very kind. Today I was delighted to receive a card from their office with Caseys paw prints and notes from the staff. We had not been to this office since Casey was spayed in 2003, but they treated us incredibly well considering the terribly sad situation. I certainly appreciate our vets care over the years, but Dr. Kim Fahnestock and her staff really helped us in a time of need and (honestly) despair.

Timely! Super friendly--my sweet dog pooped as soon as we walked into the examining room, and I went to clean it up (since it is MY responsibility, as I see it), but the assistant insisted on cleaning it up, and she was so friendly and positive that I didnt feel awkward with the incident! The doctor was quite open, explaining even the most "simple" shot, and she twice asked if I had any questions. I also appreciate them letting me know the prices/total bill before I made a decision on the different treatments. Lastly, the young woman who took my credit card explained the new program and its benefits, and was quite helpful with printing a boarding certificate for me to take to my kennel the next day. A super place!

I have used the Humane Society for each of my pets. I had one dog and three cats. While I was there the other day, we saw three kittens that, if I could afford to do it, I would have adopted Larry, Mo and Curly. The were simply adorable. When I talk about my pets, I always recommend the Humane Society because the people there are so caring, especially when you must do the inevitable. Dr. Arndt assisted me and my Pierre five years ago and he could not have been nicer.

We had the heartbreaking experience of putting our beloved boy down last week. He was our first "baby" and everything about this was understandably heartbreaking. Today we received a beautiful card with our buddys paw print inside. While it may get monotonous for the staff (and Im talking 8-10 people) to sign these cards and impart words to comfort pet owners, please know that this brought incredible comfort to our family. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

I have taken my dogs to both Macklind and the Valley and always had great experiences with the staff. My dogs have had a lot of health issues in the last 8 months and Dr. Arndt and the vet techs have been able to see them sometimes on short notice. Mollys issues have been challenging with multiple causes. With the treatments she has received she is improving wonderfully. I love the care my girls get at AMCMA.

The HS was great with us..... Had a problem with our dog and my VET could not get us in & they did right away. Surveyed her situation and was going to do what needed to be done. But unfortunately she was too far gone and we lost her. But they were great on the opposite end helping with the final things for her & gave condolences and support. So i thank them for their compassion during the difficult time.

Each visit has been excellent. The staff takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions you may have. They also give you the cost up front so there arent any surprises when you arrive (unless you need something extra). I would recommend anyone to take their pets here - fantastic service.

Easy to schedule and good care for my pet but I ended up owing $54 more for dollars for service (yearly and some vaccines) than I was quoted in the treatment room and they just sort of shrugged and said they couldnt do anything about it. Very frustrated and will not be returning.

Dr McManus is the bomb! I live in STL City, but choose to drive to Chesterfield for her services. The staff are always kind and patient. They know my dogs are my "kids" and go out of their way to make sure we are taken care of.
