Dr. Sarah and her staff are fantastic! We’ve lived coast to coast and in between, and we truly feel there isn’t a better veterinary clinic in the country than True Veterinary Care. Previously, we had never taken one of our animals there, until one of our cats kept throwing up. From the beginning, the staff was accommodating. Becky provided terrific customer service both over the phone and in person (the other staff members were pleasant too when I met them in person with Alley-our cat). Dr. Sarah provided prompt, genuine care and followed through with us, even responding to an email late on a Friday night shortly after we sent an inquiry. We were truly amazed and equated it with how doctors used to make home visits in the good old days. Alley got better (and it wasn’t an easy diagnosis by any means). Also, the pricing is very fair. We feel confident that in the future all of our animals (dog/cats) will get the best care possible whenever those times may come.

This is the best veterinarian I have ever been to in five states. Not only is the clinic itself up to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort (it really feels like home), but the staff is beyond comparison in friendliness and customer service. On top of being by far the highest quality vet clinic I have visited, they are also very reasonably priced (and importantly dont try to inflate your bill with unnecessary tests and treatments). If you are reading this review, you should stop looking for other vets, you have found the best one by far.

Dr. Kalstrup and all the staff have been wonderful for my fur baby Ruby. We have been going to them since they opened and they they really know us and our Ruby. They look for options and do whats best for you. Ruby is always happy going and loves seeing them. When she was diagnosed with bone cancer they would check in on Ruby, answer any questions we had and even sent a card that they were thinking of us. They are truly exceptional.

The staff offers great care and customer service, and the extent to which they care about the animals really shows through. A quick example: our dog got into chocolate one night and had to go to the emergency vet. One of the first calls we got the next morning was from TVC checking in on how he was doing, and with advice on what to watch out for to make sure he continued to recover. Were very happy to give them our business.

I have really enjoyed bringing my kitty Ziggy to see Dr. Kalstrap. The entire staff at True Veterinary Care is always so sweet and welcoming whenever we come in for an appointment and they make it a point to explain every procedure fully. I am so glad I saw their company name on Best of Madison and decided to bring Ziggy there for a check up appointment and also his neuter. I would recommend their services entirely!

This place is absolutely incredible. I was referred by a friend and I am beyond impressed with everyones knowledge, kindness and professionalism. All of my expectations were not only met, but exceeded. Pricing wasnt outrageous and I felt like the veterinarian was honest about what was necessary treatment and what wasnt. Great staff, very responsive, get back to you right away with test results and check in by text to see how your pet is doing after a visit/starting treatment. Our dog loves going there, in spite of a few painful things like ear infection treatment - Dr. Sara and staff very skillful in how they handle him and Becky always loves him up too!
