For a hospital named Mercy," they really treated my mother, who has multiple broken bones including her kneecap, like a junkie just looking for pain medication. I am appalled at the way they refused to prescribe more than 2 days worth of pain medication to a person who literally cannot walk or use her hand for the next 6-8 weeks, even knowing that she wouldnt be able to get an appointment with an orthopedic doctor within those two days. Rather, they sent her on her way with an ice pack and a "best of luck to you!" Update: The orthopedic doctor (Dr. Orell) took a look at her x-rays and told her that she needs a trauma surgeon for her knee, and a specialist for her hand. . Apparently, the technicians cant even properly read an x-ray. If shed known this yesterday, they could have gotten her the care she needed, rather than sending her on her way. Needless to say, I wouldnt wish their level of "care" on anyone.

This is one of the worst hospitals i been to the doctors dont know what there talking about they treat you bad ever since ive moved to troy I have never heard anything good about it to and all the nurse are stuck up snobs who sit there and talk bad about you I went in for a pinonidal cyst and they went to numb it and not even a minute later shes poking on it with a knife saying do you feel it I told her multiple times I still felt but she continued to cut on me anyway worst experience at a hospital I ever had and after all that she was gossiping with the nurse saying she was going to throw up after cutting on me and the nurse got a attitude with me because I wouldnt sit still if you need to go to the er your better off going somewhere else unless it is life threatening and you dont have another choice I left with more pain then when I came in

I received a bill from them in Sept saying my insurance declined to pay. I called up, gave them my information and was assured it was correct. Next month I get another bill saying the exact same thing. Call and repeat again. The third time I got a bill I called and had them read my information to me-they had the wrong insurance number down! The billing lady assured me it would not be sent to collections because I was still fighting with the insurance company. I did not want to pay it because insurance would see that as accepting responsibility and not do anything more about it. Two weeks later I get a letter in the mail saying it was sent to collections and the claim was submitted a week after they sent it in. They couldnt care less about fixing their problems, they just want their money.

Moved out here from st charles and having great hospitals all around me. I heard bad things about this one but each time I have gone to it Ive been treated well. My children have both been to it, my husband has been seen, and I was recently alerted to a heart condition I didnt know I had after coming coming in for a horrible sinus infection. I was told by a nurse that They had recently switched to being a Mercy hospital so they are slowly getting the updated equipment so they are still lacking in stuff that the bigger hospital in lake st. Louis has but it is happening. I would probably drive to lake st. Louis for a bigger problem (i was refurred to a cardiologist out that way through Mercy) but if your looking for something now or minor its a good hospital. Parking sucks though.

Terrible. First, everyone I know went in a few years ago with a shattered ankle. They tried to discharge him with a bad sprain. And last night my uncle who is visiting from Pennsylvania went there for severe pain in his side and his shoulder, they wanted to do a cat scan but he could not lay down because he was in too much pain. Instead of giving him something for the pain the nurse proceeded to argue with him several times until finally giving him a full syringe of demyrol, which made him sick. After getting a cat scan they told him they couldnt see anything and discharged him without telling him anything. It wasnt till he looked through the paperwork that he found out their diagnosis was hypertension....which we know is wrong. Terrible hospital with worthless staff.

This hospital is horrible. I brought my 3 1/2 month old daughter in tonight with a high fever. We waited for 20 minutes in the ER and no one even came to the reception desk to check us in! I just went to St. Josephs instead. Its 1 degree outside, yes, THAT cold, and I had to drag my sick baby back out in the cold again and drive another half-hour because these people couldnt be bothered to do their jobs. They were just sitting in the back gossiping about people. I could hear them. They are ridiculously unprofessional! Ive lived in the Troy area for 14 years and Ive never had a good experience with this hospital. I had hoped that since switching to Mercy that things would have gotten better. Looks like a big fat NO there.

This is the worst hospital I have ever delt with. I am from St.Louis so im use to being treated as I need to be. These people were not good at there jobs. I took my 1 year old son in for his arm to be checked all they did was say hes ok. They didnt take and xray or anything. The next day I took him to his doctor and they sent us back to Lincoln to get an xray and then they would not even tell me if my childs arm was ok or not. They told us to go home and they would call. That is outrageous. I do not suggest anyone to go to this hillbilly hospital. Next time I will be driving all the way to St.Louis to get correct service.

Took two kids there to get a check up and get one vaxed for school. Sat there for 2 hours even though i made an early morning appt. they were very pushy about the vaxes, and im pro-vax. tried to tell me my daughter wasnt up to date on her vax when she was. they gave my son three shots and totally missed the one he needs for school. now i have to pack two kids to get another shot for school. i get people make oversights but when someone sits for two hours they expect for it to be done right the first time.

Really bad hospital was just passing through and had a car accident and broke my arm and hand and was bleeding everywhere was made to sit in waiting room for over a hour went back to room and had to be air lifted to a ssm hospital but they did nothing for pain and it was dirty and staff was very unprofessional I wouldnt bring my dog there do yourself a favor go to a ssm hospital this place is a death trap you will not get help here.

Most horrible hospital ever. Took my son to er because of hives from a severe allergic reaction. In twenty minutes i seen three doctors and sent us on our way. No epi shot or anything nust told me to follow up with his doctor the next morning. Twenty minutes after being home he started having trouble breathing and had to rush him to st. Joes west where he received an epi shot.
