Do NOT go here for surgery!!!!!! After being prepped I had to walk into the surgery room instead of being wheeled in. I did not have my glasses or contacts and this was a very dangerous walk....I couldnt see anything! After my surgery I was not given anything for how nauseous I was. I was sent home way too soon. I could barely stay awake and was so nauseous. I had to walk myself out and stand and wait for my ride instead of being in a wheel chair like every other hospital I had been to. Then when we got to my pharmacy they did not have my pain rx. The hospital had not sent it. We had to go back to the hospital for it but they had lost it!!!! Then after all that, they dont send you the bill just so they can send you to collections. Do NOT go here!!!!!

went in with sinus infection in the nose area, I told the doc and nurse had a small sore throat. They Order a strep test which is unnecessary. They rushed me in the room so fast to get in and get out. I think I will be going somewhere else for care. The nurse that registered me didnt seem to care, was off in her own Lala land. Ive been giving the wrong meds at this place. Today I went to the er due to stomach issues . They really didnt do much for me I was told they really cant do much for a IBS patient. Ive gotten help before with that condition. Not very happy with that place.. lack of work thats for sure. Definitely be looking into a different er next time.

This morning I spoke to behavioral health through the hospital regarding my depressed and suicidal daughter and they had me call Duluth. Duluth told us to go straight to the emergency room in Ashland. Our nurse was absolutely amazing and I would give her 100 stars if I could for making my baby smile. Now Dr. Anderson was beyond rude, had absolutely no compassion for how my child was feeling and tried blaming me for my daughters sudden onset of depression. While I was trying to explain everything to her she kept rudely putting her hands up and interrupting me. So I just wanna say thanks doc! You made this heart wrenching situation so much worse!!!

I used to help volunteer here and thought it was a great place well after going twice with my grandma for iron infusions it seems staff dont know what they are doing. It took 4 people to try and get a needle into her veins grant it yes she has some old veins but she told them her hand is best. Well once they called in a real professional and had it hooked up the nurse decided to putz with it and oh it knocked out and went into my grandmas hand instead making it balloon up and bruise and still is a day later. Horrible malpractice. Glad when she will be done with it. Dont go here unless absolutely necessary and even then beware!

I arrived on a Monday morning doubled over in pain. I have a strong medical vocabulary and good understanding of what was likely a good route (observe vs. admit) and made my thoughts known. Excellent surgeon and great nursing and CNA staff. Env Svcs were thorough and pleasant (shout out to Lisa). I did confront one person whose identity was not clear to me. He was not wearing an ID badge. I hope they made note of that--its a serious issue, especially since he is a nurse and had reason to examine me. I never felt rushed, and was surprised that I was in for five days. Its been a smooth recovery.

This place takes full advantage of tourists. If you can make it, take the drive to Superior for urgent medical care while on vacation. My wife had a simple Urinary Tract Infection - something the local Walgreens charges ~$80 to treat - and they charged $600! I called them and told them Im not paying $600 for this. They "re-worked" the bill and got it "down" to $460. What a joke. The billing department is incredibly rude - They couldnt even explain all the charges and lab fees.

I moved to this area from Iowa. Two days here and I found myself very ill and in pain. Not knowing a soul here, I managed to find MMC. They were beyond compassionate and made me feel like I was the only patient there! Very impressed!

I really was nervous about my daughters surgery, sistrunk procedure. The staff were wonderful, the surgeon skilled, and the facilities were beautiful. I am thankful for modern medicine and access to well funded hospitals.

Great staff and updated facility. I am also impressed by MMCs involvement in the community with free educational resources like breastfeeding and childbirth education classes. Im glad we have a facility like MMC in town!!

Went to the BHU. Told it was covered. Later got the actual bill. Ironic how that made me feel along with the "treatment"
