The staff (day of appointment) was very nice but service was not. A week after my appointnent, I am still waiting on referrals. I called this clinic twice about my referrals and was given different information each time. One week after my appointnent, I called again to check referral satus and was told referrals were done. For one referral, they could not tell me when the referral was done or who it was sent to but insisted it was done and that referral doctor would call me. For the second referral, I was able to get the name of the provider they said they sent the referral to. I subsequently called that provider who said they have not received a referral for me. One referral was for an ENT. I had fluid in my ears the day of the appointment. Doc would not check my ears on that day but said she would write a referral. 10 days later, nothing on either referral! This is not accepable!

I love the physician and nurse at the Baton Rouge Family Health Center South, Dr. Chasuk and Nitche are outstanding. However, recent changes made by supervisory personnel have left them short handed. The only RN for the office is forced to answer phones, check in patients, verify benefits coverage, accept co-pays, make appointments, draw labs, assist patients to exam rooms. With many of the patients from St. James Place and the geriatric community, it is terribly confusing for them to arrive in an empty office when the nurse is in the back with patients some of whom may need additional assistance for their appointment. These recent policy changes need to be evaluated for patient safety first and foremost then consider the quality of care and performance of this one invaluable employee.

The receptionist there is always rude.the phones are seldom answered after reasonable rings(3 or 4 rings) and when you finally get thru youre put on hold.This always happens.When asked for referals to other clinics ,"Ill get to it when I can",is the response youll hear and then they take all day to do it.On one occasion for me the referal wasnt even sent at all.Imagine the headache when I got to the specialist doctor office and no referal was sent. Better office management and professionalism is definitely needed.

good luck getting a prescription filled! Ive been waiting over a month and they still havent been able to fax it in... this is the second month Ive had to emergency send it to a pharmacy even though my doctor wrote me a script in January. the office cant seem to send it to my pharmacy.

They are always slow... The Dr Wants to spend 2 mins in the room and send u home with 2 advil and setup an appt if it doesnt get better. Hate this clinic currently looking for somewhere else to go
