I grew up in this environment. My father was the President of the Pennsylvania Board of Optometry for many years and had a very successful 30 yr optometric practice. The Seven Hills Vision Center in Henderson focused all of their resources toward their optical and not very much attention to the exam rooms. On the day of my exam, I noticed that all of the light switches were so filthy from dirty hands that I would venture to guess that they have never been wiped down. There were used tissues next to the garbage can on the floor in my exam room and equipment (diagnostic lenses) left on several surfaces. The carpet is frayed around each exam room doorway and boxes of "stuff" piled up behind the reception desk. The receptionist made me wait to sign in until she was finished dealing with her sales rep. In quality care establishments, patients always come before a sales rep. The rep had all of her wares strewn out on top of the reception desk and on top of the sign in sheet. For me, the worst part was when I asked them to fix some high-end sunglasses ($350+) I have had for years. I asked them to replace the lenses and match the tint and replace the nose pads. They called me to let me know they were ready for pick up. I arrived and immediately noticed the nose pads had not been replaced. I asked if she had even looked at them before calling me to come pick them up. I left them with her and said I would be back later to pick up when they were really ready. I had noticed the tint of the lenses were not very close to the original ones. They charged $170 to replace these lenses and missed the mark by miles. The lady had a million excuses as to why it was not her fault. There was no accountability. She actually laughed and found the situation humorous. I let her know that I was not laughing. There is no quality control here. The staff seem very inexperienced. She kept referring to the polarization I ordered when I questioned her about the tint. I told her that the tint was separate from the polarization. She didnt seem to understand. In summation, this is a good practice to folks who have never truly experienced quality vision care. If you have experienced quality care, then you will notice the difference immediately. When you are in the exam area, take notice of how dirty everything is and unkempt and then go out to the optical and take notice of how much more they seem to care about that space since retail is their money maker. My father would cringe if he saw how this "practice" was being run. I probably have higher expectations than most due to my fathers practice, but you too should have higher expectations when it comes to the quality of your vision care.

The doctors at this location are okay. However, their staff was the most negligent, unreliable and impolite bunch I have ever encountered. Because their staff constantly caused problems and were difficult to communicate with, I will never return to this location again. I advised my family and friends to seek another optometrist because of how badly my husband and I were treated. Ive been patient with them for 6+ years and their service has just gotten worse each year. Every time I would need to pick up glasses, contacts, or solution from their office, I dreaded it. The receptionist and office manager are so unbelievably unprofessional and would rather chit chat amongst themselves instead of helping the customers waiting in the lobby. They never return your call, they forget to order your glasses, forget to call when your glasses/contacts are in, forget to charge fees at the time of the visit and then attempt to bill you at a later date, they give you expired coupons, they give you the runaround when they owe you a refund, and they argue instead of listening to what you are saying. Warning: Do not use Seven Hills Vision Center services unless you intentionally want to experience the worst customer service ever!

I called in at 12:11pm and asked for a copy of a receipt, was put on hold for over five minute, which was a transfer to the front desk only it was just hold! So, I hung up and called back. When I explained why I was calling back, there was no apology, she said " its lunch time". Great, I get it. Set a voicemail up that says "call back after 1pm....everyone is at lunch and we can not help you at this time!" Then, I asked if they would email me a copy of a receipt....she said "No, we cant do that??" Its not 1997, it is 2017! What if I was ordering contact lens because I was out, wait for the snail mail? Get with the times! Customer Service is what keeps people coming back, thought you should know!

I highly recommend this office. I went in for a much needed exam this morning as Id not had one for a few years. Dr. Coker is very personable, and patient with a a patient that asks many questions. Melissa took a lot of time with me on shopping for new frames and answering a zillion questions as well, she made it a lot of fun! They also made sure they understood my particular needs as an artist and heavy computer user, and they worked with me on my budget and timing constraints since I dont have insurance. I wear contacts and glasses for different activities so this was very important to me. Love you guys! I look forward to the new glasses soon!

I thought the staff was professional and excellent to work with. The Eastern location was beautiful. Dr. Podloski was great! They have a ton of glasses to choose from. I dont about the other reviews posted. Some people love to complain.
