My daughter was a patient of Shepherd Eye Center for eighteen months. About three months ago they allowed their paperwork to be a tricare provider expire. They called us the morning of the appointment to let us know of the issue and we rescheduled the appointment for 6 weeks later. When we arrived for this new appointment they told us they could not see us because they still have not turned in their paperwork to be a tricare provider. They rescheduled us again for 6 weeks later. At the last appointment the Opthamologist expressed the need for changing the glasses on the next visit. Here we are 3 months later and have not been able to see the Opthamologist and worried about losing the small amount of improvement my daughter has gained. In my opinion they are just another case of "in it for the money". During our care at the center the Opthamologist was a man of very few words. When I would ask a question he would look at the tech and say "give them a paper on (insert whatever I asked here)". He would ask a question and write some notes on his paper. The longest he was in our room was about 8-10 minutes. Definitely lacking on the interpersonal skills. We are moving on!

Wonderful experience. Background - Most of my working carrer was spent with Johnson & Johnson a Division by the name of Ethicon, located in Somerville, N.J. Ethicon is #1 and manufacues sutures and most anything with the purpose of wound closer. My job was in sales and I do believe I saw more of the United States with Ethicon than I did in the military. One of my responsibilities was to call on surgeons of all specialties. Therefore Opthalmolgy was very important to me. Enough said. The operation at Shepherd Eye Center is above professional. All the personnel were friendly and no nonsense. The patient flow is the very best Ive seen in a major office. My appointment was with Dr. Montgomery. I felt at home with him. Not only friendly but an excellent practioner. When the need arises for IOLs he is the man that will do my surgery. My wife Dawn will transfer all of her records from Nevada Eye and Ear asap. From the moment I talked to Marcie on the phone to hearing her tell me to take care as I was leaving, my experience with Shepherd Eye Center was outstanding! I have a chalazion on my eyelid and it is incredibly painful. Ive never had one before and explained what was going on to Marcie who was incredibly comforting and professional. Ive been to the office twice since the episode started almost 2 weeks ago. Ive seen Dr. Reddy and Dr. Montgomery who were both very nice and assured me that my eye will be back to normal soon. While the waiting room and other areas have had quite a few people in them I didnt have to wait long. The Drs didnt rush me and I felt that all my questions were answered and that they cared about me. I noticed also that they had a great selection of glasses available. I work with seniors and know that if they, or people of any age, need competent, caring folks taking care of their eyes...Shepherd Eye Center is the best place to go! I honestly was very impressed with them and the care Ive received.

I received very good service when getting an eye exam. Dr. Cruvant is very nice and knowledgeable. I did have to wait an unusually long time before being helped. It looks like they tend to overbook, but I was told that it is due to a high influx of people to the area. Everything went well until I was sent to the optical department to get the prescription filled. The employees were very nice, but the price was OMG! The quote of $693 + tax for a single pair of HD glasses was too much so I left. I went to Costco and got the exact same pair of glasses for $145 + tax, with no compromise in quality. Good rating for the eye exam, not so much for the optical department.

I have been a patient at Shepard Eye Center for about 8 years. They are always courteous and helpful when you go there for an appointment. I recently got the place my appointment was at mixed up, but when I got to the wrong place, they called and I was told to go to the other office and they would see me there. The Doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and efficient. They also offer various services from Glasses to Eye Surgery. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good friendly place for eye care.

I think that the Henderson office of Shepherd Eye Center is an excellent facility. The doctors are outstanding and the care is stellar. The reason that I did not give it a five star rating is the wait time. I had a 7:40 am appointment and I wasnt seen until 8:45 am. When, after 45 minutes, I questioned the very polite front desk person I was told that some of the technicians had been delayed in traffic. I understand this, but it would have been helpful if someone had offered an explanation earlier.

I had a appointment with Dr. Hansen at 1350 on Friday of last week. Because I am diabetic, it is a key appointmnt with my physicians in monitoring the progress of the disease. Although there were some long waits as I was shuttled from room to room, it is apparnt that the Eye Center has a robust practice and processes a lot of patients. I always bring a magazine with me to read and so the time is not completely lost. Yas Tokita

My first time at Shepard Eye Center, the facility was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful and explained everything that had to be done so that you would be comfortable. The whole experience was great from now on this will be the only place that I will use for my eye care. Thanks, Shepherd staff for such a great experience.

Waited 50 minutes till they called my 92 year old mother in law to the back. Some have great service and some need work. Other than that, the wait time was the worst. Hopefully they will work on that. Our appointment was for 945 am got there at 930 am and was not called till 1032am.

Very organized office environment. I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Alder with his quick and no nonsense findings. The staff were polite. Almost no wait! I liked the office so much that I could not stop talking about it with my husband. Keep up the good work!

Dr. Emily Fant has taken care of our families eyes for nearly 20 years. She has given me 20/20 vision with cataract surgery after 70 years of wearing very thick glasses. The staff is friendly, courteous and skilled. I enthusiastically recommend Shepherd Eye Center
