Due to changing my health insurance plan in March 2012 I saw Dr. Judy Craythorn at the Shepard Eye Center on Pecos for my annual eye exam. The office was full of patients and some with family members yet my appointment was nearly on time. Assistants take you through all the preliminary tests before you see the doctor. I had been told by a prominent eye surgeon in 2007 that I needed cataract surgery I asked many question on what was the size, cost, what type of lens etc. etc. and was told we no longer wait till the cataract is "ripe". I choose to wait. Here we are 5 years later and Dr. Craythorn states I do NOT need surgery at this time. To me that is a GOOD physician. In my opinion the center does not overbook and all the things that need to be done takes time. My visit was no longer than another I have had in the passed 50 years. I like the fact of the paperwork they give you for your records this has never been done for me without asking. Which I always do. I am now going to see about Custom Wavefront Lasik with this center because of all the new improvements with Lasik for folks like me with astigmatism. My only compliant was the bill I got many weeks after the appointment. It was money I owned but they neglected to collect. So I paid it.

I had vision problems several years ago and was referred to this practice by someone who live here. Upon meeting with the doctors, it was determined that i had a HUGE cataract that was causing me to be blind in my left ear. They schedule me for surgery shortly thereafter and I had the procedure. I was worried about being awake but they numbed my eye so that I could feel nothing. About 30 minutes afterwards, I was in awe. It was as if I were seeing the world in HD and everything was so clear and crisp. I really didnt realize that my eyesight had deteriorated so badly. They informed me that it was my right eye working twice as hard to allow me to see. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice as the staff was very professional, on time and knowledgeable. In fact, as I write this review I am calling them to schedule a follow up appointment. No, i have no issues but its been over a year and id like to maintain my eye and ensure that my eyes are healthy.

My 86 year old step mother, JB was shuttled from a nearby assisted living facility for her annual exam. She has been totally wheel chair bound for 17 years. After watching many other patients moving in and out, I inquired regarding JB. I was continually told she would be seen soon. I finally joined JB in an exam room and after a while watched as her doctor shot out the door for lunch. Another doctor eventually arrived. He was more than kind and professional. The staff was apologetic for the almost 2 and one half hour experience but it didnt change the disappointing lack of attention to the situation.

Hi to one and all, Im Bill 74 years young had surgery on my left eye on 10-1-13 Dr. Montgomery did the job, thanks Doc. as I now have a whole outlook on life. I was depressed beyond belief, abusing food, alcohol, drugs you name it. Seeing things like I am 30 Yo. now , making peace with my wife and daughters travelling back east next month to see my grandchildren for the first time. Life is good, anyone you know that needs eye care, you need to be a friend and direct them to Shepard Eye Center and ask for Dr. Montgomery. Luv to all, in God!!!

Very comfortable experience. I was in and out in slightly under an hour. Everyone was courteous and friendly, and the office ran very smoothly. See one technician first, wait a bit, see a second technician, wait a bit, and then the MD himself, wait a bit, then billing. Have been with Dr. Ravi Reddy for many years and always find him thorough, willing to explain everything and has never seemed rushed, even at another office where they were busy.

Today I had my annual exam by Dr. Ravi Reddy. Mary Lynn was the person who helped me along the way administering drops, checking eye pressure, etc.. She is a delight. Extremely personable, caring, knowledgeable, great sense of humor and interacts extremely well with patients. Please dont ever let her go; and I will request her at future appointments. My Attorney friend said he saw Dr.Hanson around 7 yrs ago, he got 20/20 & 20/10 vision.Sounded Great! I called and they sounded like they had an attitude,because I wanted more information & pricing. Left my info. Two and a half weeks ago! No Call back? I called back,They still sounded rude, I was still just asking pricing and Info,on Cataract Surgery. I Guess This Business Doesnt Need Any New Business

I have been a patient of Shepherd Eye for last 13 yrs. I had suffered a sever eye accident back in Chicago, and was diagnosed Glycoma since 1995. Moved in Las Vegas in 2003, Shepherd Eye took care of my Eyes. Now, my Glycoma is gone, and I can see a lot better. I wouldnt go anywhere else. I will hit 81 yrs on Feb 9th, 2016 A message to Shepherd Eye: "KEEP ON DOING WHAT YOU DO BEST --NO SECOND BEST".

During my visit to Shepard Eye center I found it very clean and organized, the whole staff were super nice and I mean the whole staff because you do see them all, lol. You go to several rooms where different things are checked then the Dr. comes in for final visit explains all in detail and asks if any questions, he is very through. Took two hours but worth it, nice visit thankyou.

Pitiful, Ive brought my husband to every location in Las Vegas, co-paying us to death. Dr. THEO saw him a couple weeks ago & said he needed to laser a spot he missed doing cataract surgery, prevuously, so I guess well just sit her until the cashier decides to find out if this is "to tell the truth" or not. I should of taken him to my Dr. Just bull

DO NOT GO HERE. They will screw you over on billing, not own up on it and then hang up on you. I have insurance and they screwed up the billing. I am working with my insurance right now and the State to resolve this matter. They are scam artists. Have fun when it happens to you.

I was out of town visiting friends and broke my glasses. I called Shepard Eye Center and they were the only ones who would fit me in immediately. I needed an exam and new glass frames and they did it that day. My experience with them was great and the people were friendly to me.

This business is run by crooks. They steal cash payments and pretend to never have a receipt of the transaction. I purchased expensive Frames and Lens that were supposed to be guaranteed. However theydid not last. Sheppard wont honor thier work or glasses
