I went to receive a full skin check and two mole removals. When I first walked in, one of the ladies at the desk picked up the phone really quick so she wouldnt have to check me in, and the other woman who helped me didnt seem very professional. Dr. Langford was very nice and made me feel more comfortable than I thought Id be. The medical assistant (she was an older lady with brown hair; I dont remember her name) was awesome and very funny. She wasnt bitter and uncaring like other medical assistants I see. The mole removals were easy and fast, and there were no complications with the visit. I would like to go back to Desert Dermatology just for the medical treatment. I work at a billing company, and I can say that DD isnt the best at billing. My insurance gave me a coinsurance, and they didnt even send me a bill until 4 months later!! When I submitted a partial payment; a check; they did not send me a receipt or a new bill with my balance. I just called them a few minutes ago to make another payment, but whoever answered the phone didnt know what to do or who to transfer me to - she just kept putting me on hold. I need to pay my bill, is it that hard to understand? I hung up while on hold.

I was a little surprised when reading the negative reviews others posted. My experience was completely different. I have been to the office three times in the past year. Twice for myself and once for my daughter. All three times I was seen reasonably close to my appointment time. I also was able to get an appointment without a long wait (less than a week wait). Thats rare anymore. I was willing to see a PA (Kelly) instead of Dr. Langsford, so that helped. When I need to get in to other doctors I see I have to call weeks in advance. I thought the office staff was friendly. I do make sure I get a receipt because one time, a couple years ago, I was billed for my copay which I had taken care of at the time of the visit. I went in with the bill and my receipt, and the charge was taken care of immediately. Ive never had another problem since then. If you decide to give them a try, I hope you have the same experience as I did. Good luck.

I had an appointment on October 5th (first time appt) and went in early to fill out paperwork. After the paperwork was turned in, I was called up to the desk and told I owed a $91 copay. I told them there must be a mistake, because my old dermatologist office copay was $20. They assured me it was $91, and I told them this was not the office for me then. I then asked to have my paperwork back, since I would not be seeing the doctor and they refused, saying they had to keep it for seven years. I left angry and called my insurance company who told me the price they tried to charge was not correct. Now, a month and a half later, I just got a call from them saying I missed an appointment on November 19th that I never made! This is EXACTLY why I didnt want these people to keep my info! Im livid with this office and never even saw a doctor. Wish Id never stepped foot in this place.

Can not recommend this group and certainly would not return. Their customer service needs an attitude check. They are clearly not the only service provider in town, and I would recommend you look elsewhere. The office "business manager" was particularly dismissive to my requests. After my 14 year old son, who is a high school wrestler was diagnosed with alopecia by this group, I asked for a simple letter signed by the doctor to show his wrestling coach and wrestling officials should he be questioned on a skin check during an alopecia outbreak. After giving me the run around on the phone, they simply refused two requests for a simple letter without reasonable explanation. Bottom-line….find another provider. Their attitude with me was dismissive and that my concern was not their concern. Look elsewhere if you value customer service.

I brought my son here to Lux dermatology on July 17, 2017 during his summer vacation to have a tiny mole removed off of the side of his nostril . They were very condescending to me. The ladies at front desk were not friendly at all. When we went to the room, Stephanie came in and told us that we had to pay $250 more for them to take the small mole off, in addition to the $185 I paid just to see them. I was told over the phone at the time of the appointment that it was so minor, that it would probably be covered at no additional cost. They knew that they had my hands tied. What do I do, leave and be out $185 for nothing, or pay an additional $250? In the end, maybe ten minutes later, we left, out $435 for a tiny mole on a child. I will never come here again.

I dont do reviews but if my review can save someone than Im happy. Dont waste your time or money going to this place. My wife had a biopsy a month ago, we were told they would call us with results. Well a month passed no one called. We left 6 messages and no one called us back. My wife finally went down there to get her results. Than to top it off we got a bill for $140 because they never got the procedure approved by our insurance are you serious? Now the office manager want to tell us we signed something saying we would pay if the insurance doesnt? So now you want us to pay because you didnt do your job? Its not happening send it to collections cause you aint getting a dime from us.

waist of time for nothing . first they let you sit in the waiting room for more than 30 min even if u have appointmt and u r on time, then they walk you inside where u sit again for 30 to 45 min, and its completely normal for them. if you complain they ask you to walk away..... bunch of loosers. a so called "dr Isaac Gier" doesnt know what he is doing. he prescribed me a cream that has burned my face. when i went back to ask whats happening to me with his prescription, he simply refused to see me... thats the easiest way to get rid of his patient. i will never be back to this F... place again

Not worth the wait - This office has no sense of time management whatsoever, and the office staff is extremely rude. Dr. Langford is a great doctor; however, I find it completely unprofessional to show up on time for my appointment and have to wait an hour and a half to see her. It is totally unacceptable to treat people like they have nothing better to do than spend that kind of time waiting for an appointment. This happened all three times I had a scheduled appointment. I will not be returning.

Heard great things about Dr Langford. My appointment was for 3:30. I was taken to the exam room at 5:05, and by that time was not really in the mood anymore. I left the exam room at 5:15 because I knew Id have noting constructive to say. Considering the area you would think promptness of appointments would be important, guess not. Ill find a doctor that can honor their appointment times. Funny that you have to sign a form saying you will pay them $20 if you are late. Wheres my $20!
