Im convinced Dr. Laura Pearson misdiagnosed my cat from day one and had him on all kinds of worthless, useless and EXPENSIVE medicines...and at the very moment he was put down, another vet (Susan Derner) said to me ,"well, you know he had cancer." What? Never ONCE was that word mentioned with regard to my cat in all the years I brought him there! Dr. Pearson, who was my primary physician, certainly never even brought it up as a possibility! Instead, I was led to believe something else entirely. This place was recommended to me by my sister, and I found it extremely disconcerting that the first time I brought my beloved pet there, Dr. Pearson never once looked me in the face. In fact, she NEVER did, and I went to her constantly. She also never referred to me by name! I could never figure out why, perhaps she was intimidated because Im a "hands-on" pet owner and not one to believe everything handed to me by doctors--but it didnt make for a good feeling. In the meanwhile, my cat was losing weight. Pearson determined that he needed Thyroid meds. But he still wasnt gaining, so she recommended a monthly B vitamin shot. Didnt help. Then she announced he was diabetic. I seriously doubted he was...but of course it meant more $$$ for syringes, and Insulin, and I put my faith in my vet. Big mistake! When he still wasnt gaining weight, she suggested upping the Insulin dose, which resulted in a VERY scary crash for my little pet. In the meanwhile, my lovely kitty--whom I loved dearly--was still losing weight. He went down to four pounds! I brought him in, Pearson told me he was fine, and that night, at 3, he began to die in my arms. I barely made it to the facility to have him put down the next morning (by another vet, the one who mentioned cancer). The day before, Id bought insulin and syringes. They were never used, and Windham never offered to give me a refund. So, now my lovely pet is gone, and I would NEVER recommend this facility. Not if you love your animals. I honestly think theyre in it for the money, and thats it. And I should add that when they sent me a sympathy card for the loss of my dear pet, it was NOT signed by Dr. Pearson or Dr. Derner. Considering that she "cared" for him since 2013, youd think Pearson would have the decency to affix her signature to that cheap card they sent. But no. And that really says it all, doesnt it? While youre at it, read the review from the woman who lost her 14 year old dog to the incompetence of Windham Animal Hospital. Dont think this is an isolated incident, because the same thing happened to me. Beware!

On August 23, 2016 my 2 dogs had a tussle over a tennis ball. One dog got hurt and I called Windham Veterinary Hospital where I am an established customer. I called and spoke with the answering service twice, finally after 45 minutes Dr. Pearson calls me back. I described the incident and that the dog was now vomitting blood and headed to the Rockingham Emergency Clinic since it took 45 minutes to hear back. The dog required surgery to stitch up the gash on her gums in the mouth. The tooth marks on her chest damaged the intercostal space between her ribs needed a drain to prevent infection. Dr. Pearson when she called me told me that Rockinham was the better place to go since Windham Animal Hospital is not set up for surgery. Dr. Salkovitch performed major surgery on one of my other dogs 2 weeks ago, therefore yes they do surgical care. A year ago Dr. Pearson refused to treat an 8 week old puppy that was in need of care, Dr. Salkovitch did what he could by meeting me on the road and asked me to bring puppy into clinic the following day which I did do. The puppy passed away, Dr. Salkovitch stated that if the puppy has received earlier care then it would have pulled through. Twice I have needed the services of Dr. Pearson and each time she blames it on the answering service in not getting the messages. Dr. Salkovitch, Dr. Connolly, the Windham Animal Hospital office staff, techs, I am all satisfied with. Dr. Pearson is someone to stay away from. In the future when I do need their services if Dr. Pearson is the doctor on call, then I will not wait and immediately go to the Rockingham Emergency Clinic in Windham. I find Dr. Pearson to be totally useless and now would not trust her services.

BEWARE!!!!! Dr Peasrson said my 14 year old dog who was struggling to breathe had "anxiety." Truth is he was in full blown cardiac failure and respitory distress. He died the next day!!!!! She failed to diagnosis my dogs serious and life threatening illness. He was sent home to suffer and die. She took X-rays but was to incompetent to recognize fluid around the heart and lungs. She also failed to ultrasound the dogs chest. I later learned my dog had multiple tumors inside his heart and that his chest and belly were full of fluid. How a doctor called this "anxiety" is beyond comprehension!! Dr Pearson made up hypothetical bull s---- lies instead of just admitting she didnt know. I wouldve respected if she had said, let me get another option. I googled my dogs symptoms and I suspected serious heart or lung problems. Especially factoring in the dogs age of 14. I kept telling her somethings wrong. He doesnt do this. It terrifies me that Dr Pearson practices medicine. She failed me. She failed my dog and she fail this veterinary practice My dog is gone but I can still advocate for him. Because of Dr Pearson I watched him painfully struggle and suffer a terrible death. Dont let this happen to you.

A stray cat that would come to our house for food recently was hit by a car. 2 very compassionate women picked him up and brought him to a local vet that couldnt be bothered. After that they took the injured cat to Windham Animal Hospital where they stopped everything to help. They did xrays and determined that the little guy was too badly hurt. They were very kind and helped relieve the animal of his pain helping him pass on. The people at WAH were absolutely caring and upset about the cats misfortune. We will be bringing our 3 cats here from now on because they showed how much they love animals. They never asked for payment for the stray cat. For that reason I will reward them with my business and referrals to everyone I know and meet.

I have been going for 3 years and telling myself Im going to switch almost the whole time. I have a Maltese and shes been over vaccinated there to the point of serious illness. The be next time I went to get her vaccinated they tried to do the same thing! Like, read then notes! I seem to always get different advice and info from different docs and members of the staff. I wait for at least 20/30 minutes every time I go there. I get the impression that theyre too busy to care sometimes. They are also expensive. Ive never felt great about going there. I would find a smaller vet for better care. Feels like a drive through.

Had both of my dogs spay, or so I thought. Two months later one of my dogs was in heat! The dog had the incision but the vet never performed the surgery. NEVER EVER BRING YOUR PET TO THIS FACILITY! Vet said they were distracted during the surgery...no excuse for negligence. When else do they get distracted....giving out meds as well. If you care for your pet, dont put them in their care.
