When I first went to see Dr. Joe, (February 2015) it was my the last hope and effort to getting well after a severe lumbar back injury that occurred in October 2014. That is without having to subject myself to surgery. I was so crippled up I could not lay down on the table. Dr. Joe had to work on me sitting up! It was not fixed over night, but I felt improvement and some relief after each week. I listened to everything Dr. Joe told me to do as I was determined to make this process work. My husband calls Dr. Joe a Miracle worker! Highly recommended to anyone! The office staff is friendly, and courteous. The facility is clean and relaxed. It was three months of following instructions and doing the exercises at home but he got me back to work without surgery. I Continue (nearly 6 months later) to go to Dr. Joe for maintenance and for corrections as necessary. Dr. Joe gives you hope, his positive "never give up" attitude along with the physical adjustments that improvement the level of pain, and strength, make you feel better all over. Dr. Joe has changed my life for the better. With my condition I will never be 100%, but thanks to Dr. Joe I can function normally again. This process worked for me. I listened to Dr. Joe, and Dr. Joe listened to me. We worked together to get me well again. I cant thank Dr. Joe enough for what he has done for me and my quality of life.

I hurt my back 3 weeks ago. Didnt know what the problem was. Took it lightly. But last Saturday i started having problems with walking. It was the weekend and doctor offices were closed. I Went to a massage instead. Thought heat therapy and good massage will solve the problem. But on Monday i was still in pain and hard time walking. Then a friend of mine told me about Dr Licitra. I was very hesitant about it. I had never been to a chiropractor before and i had heard some horror stories from other people in the past. But my friend spoke very high of Dr Licitra and she insisted. So yesterday evening i called Dr Licitra. Thankfully he was nice enough to see me the same day even though it was late. Good thing that he is open till 7pm. Luckily i could make it on time. When i came to him, i couldnt even walk. Pain had gotten worse through the day. But after he did work on me, i could walk a lot easier. He eased the pain. I was feeling much better. He was also very kind and gentle on me. Didnt scare me or didnt act inappropriate in any ways. Because it is not easy to trust every physician. Im very grateful that i found a good trustworthy chiropractor and from now on i will be going to Dr Licitra regularly for maintenance of my spine. I highly recommend him.

I met Dr. Licitra several years ago working as a legal assistant. Throughout those years we became very good friends. He is the kind of person that touches everyones heart that he meets. He is very kind, generous, professional and oh so very funny. If you go into his office with pain, you come out literally laughing. No need to tell him where your pain is, because he automatically puts his hands exactly on the spot that is killing you. I told him I wanted to marry his hands. Dr. Licitras office has a very calming aura about it, his staff members are very friendly and upbeat, he will do whatever he can to help you. I am legally blind so, it is difficult for me to travel to his office. So, if I worked in a building that had a chiropractor, Id give them a shot. Not that they werent any good, but Id always end up back to Dr. Licitras office. He is the best. He has a wonderful bedside manner, he is genuinely concerned about his paitents and wishes for all of his patients to be well physically, mentally and spiritually. Im not writing all of these things because we have become friends, but because I am his patient and if you go to him, you will see what I am talking about. Doctor Licitra Rocks!!!!!

I am an attorney in Elmwood Park. For the past 35 years I have specialized in accidental injury cases. The most common result of a car accident is injury to the neck and back, so I have dealt with a lot of different Doctors and therapists treating neck and back pain over the years. I met Dr Licitra about 30 years ago when one of my clients came in one day and told me how much better he was doing after seeing Dr Licitra, as opposed to little or no improvement from a couple other facilities. Since that time, if a client asks about a doctor, I have no hesitation in giving them Dr Joes name. The clients that I have referred to Dr Joe have been unanimous in their praise of his work. I have had clients who seemed headed toward spine surgery who he saved from that. I can also tell you that I personally became a patient of Dr Licitra after meeting him, as did my wife and family. What better recommendation can I give? Dr Joe is one of the kindest, most caring people I have ever met.. He is a true healer and an expert in his field. This is a combination that simply cant be beat. I would recommend him to you without hesitation.

Dr. Licitra is a skilled professional who provides with you a practical, sustainable maintenance program once he brings you back to your healthy self. He diagnosed my injury, worked with me on a plan of treatment and also provided me with exercises to do at home between sessions. I am back at the gym with an educated awareness of my bodys abilities and what I now need to do to move forward with my training and daily life. I perform the exercises Dr. Licitra gave me every day and the results are better performance in and out of the gym. Dr. Licitra reduced the sessions as I became stronger and was where I needed to be physically. He was true to the treatment plan and I felt like more of a partner in my care than just a patient. He is a caring, dedicated and thoughtful individual who replaced unbearable pain with a mindful smile---every day.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Licitras for many years, and I cant say enough good things about him and his practice. Years ago I tweaked my back yet again, but this time it was so bad I couldnt walk. Luckily my dad was already a patient of his, so he brought me to see Dr. Licitra. Well after practically being carried into the office, after lots of adjusting I walked out on my own. Ive been a regular ever since. I still go every month or two just for a "tune-up" on my back, not only because he keeps my spine and neck feeling great but also because hes got a really pleasant way about him. Hes busy yet always has time for a kind word and a funny story, and I always leave feeling better than before. Hes a great doctor but an even better person, and Id recommend him to anyone.
