In December 2010, I was referred to A&W Chiropractic by a good friend due to severe lower back pain I had been previously experiencing for about a year and a half. I went to them in pain and totally frustrated not knowing what else to do. Previously, I had been treating with a pain management medical practice after an MRI revealed two herniated discs in my lower back. I went through two rounds of bilateral cortisone injections which provided short term relief only to have the pain return as bad as it was at the start. If I chose to stay on that course, I would most likely have been looking at painful surgery it seemed with no guarantees. I met with Dr. Alex who promptly obtained my MRI report and reviewed it during my initial visit. Both Dr. Alex and Dr. Wendy worked with me and explored a few different treatments until they found what worked best for me. All throughout, both were professional, encouraging, and tremendously reassuring. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable and have always had my questions answered. They are both available at their office most of the day or just a phone call away. My visits were frequent at the start but have been reduced to once (or twice if needed) every two weeks. My level of discomfort is way lower than it was at the start and my visits now are more like “maintenance” now. I have been able to do so much more with a lot less discomfort. I honestly feel that I would be in a bad place right now had I not been introduced to their practice. I am tremendously grateful for their help and would recommend anyone experiencing similar circumstances to stop in for a consultation. I have total confidence in Drs Alex and Wendy and strongly recommend this Chiropractic office.

Dr. Alex and Dr. Wendy have used their skills to relieve stiffness, spasms and aches and pains in my back, shoulder, neck and hip and lower back. This has allowed me to enjoy holding my young grandson. I can now stand at the stove for long periods of time to prepare the meals I love to cook for family and friends. I was feeling very old and limited in movement before I came to them. They have restored my mobility and I am enjoying my life much more. In addition, they are both very personable and accommodating. Dr. Alex spent a great deal of time listening to me before any manipulation was done.He made sure I had the appropriate tests before he manipulated my lower back and neck. I had never gone to a chiropractor before and was apprehensive, but those feelings were gone after my first manipulation when I felt relief from my symptoms.They have made me feel that they will be there when I need them. This proved to be true when my back went out suddenly and I was in great pain. They saw me immediately.

I have been a huge fan of chiropractic care for many years.I felt that it helped me while training for marathons and triathlons. Unfortunately my chiropractor passed away approximately 2 years ago. I began looking for a new chiropractor and I was lucky enough to see the sign for A & W while waiting for a train in Cranford. I called, made an appointment and have been pain free since. I feel my posture is greatly improved and I know my overall fitness level is at its best in years. I attribute this to the care of Doctors Alex & Wendy. Plain & simple they truly care about their patients health, well being and general happiness. I have encouraged several friends and co-workers to begin treatment and they too have found A&W to be a VERY caring, convenient and EXTREMELY pleasant office to visit. I plan on continuing to visit the office and I feel I was VERY lucky to have found Doctors Wendy & Alex! Thank you!

I started 4 weeks ago with the group and both doctors are the best I have ever experienced. I am constantly on my feet due to my profession as a Correctional Officer for the State of NJ and the 8 hours on concrete has knocked every joint out of position. It got so bad lately that my hands while sleeping would fall asleep even while flat on my back. I lost my last chiropractor due to his retirement 5 years ago and thought I could do without periodic adjustment. Damn was I wrong. Im down to 2 visits a week and after the first week Im sleeping like a baby and no numb hands or stiff lower back. They have the best staff working there, so polite and they cant help you enough to get a time to fit your schedule. Both doctors are top shelf and make you feel like you have known them for decades. I would without hesitation recommend them to anyone.

Friendly staff, Knowledgable Doctors, Clean Facility. As a Fire Fighter the most common cause of injury for me is back related. For me each morning was painful, I was literally limping when I got out of bed and I thought it was just something Id have to live with or I thought surgery was the only cure for me. A family member who was a patient of A&W Chiropractic recomended I stop in, even if it was just for an evaluation. NOW.... No pain, no limp, no SURGERY! My visits are now less frequent and are more often for preventative maintenence rather then pain. A short stop in will be worth your time. My whole family now visits A & W, my wife for her severe neck issues and my six year old for all the cool toys in the waiting room.

I went to A & W Chiropractic for a few years for help with back pain. It improved dramatically. More recently I have been going for help with Achilles Tendonitis. Who would have thought that a chiropractor could help with Achilles Tendonitis? My podiatrists solution was surgery, which I am apprehensive about. Dr. Alex and Dr. Wendy are very knowledgeable about the most recent treatment practices and I trust them implicitly. The office staff is friendly and professional, and the doctors provide a very comfortable environment. The office is also "kid friendly." Appointment scheduling is efficient and flexible. My achilles pain in improving!! I am very happy with and highly recommend A& W Chiropractic.

I cant say enough about Dr. Alex and Wendy of A & W Chiropractic. The office is friendly and open. The atmosphere makes you feel relaxed and like a friend as opposed to a patient. The targeted treatments and follow up treatments are always on point. They both listen and respond to your needs and issues. Without doubt, the best treatment and patient / doctor relationship I have ever experienced. If youve never gone to a chiropractor, A & W should be your first stop. I am a martial arts instructor, former fighter, and active competitor, so my body has gone through some pretty bad beatings. Several of my students told me how great Dr Alex is and encouraged me to give it a try after a recent martial arts injury. Dr Alex has a background in martial arts and he understands what my body goes through every day. Chiropractors have always made me nervous, but the friendly demeanors of Drs. Alex and Wendy have a calming effect. The office has a family atmosphere and is run smoothly with no waiting for scheduled appointments. These guys know their stuff and will have you feeling better in no time!
