I took my son to Dr Strauch hoping for effective treatment for his severe acne after several months of antibiotic treatment from his primary doc with little result. Most staff were friendly, but front desk reception frequently abrupt. Dr Strauch advised against Accutane stating the insurance would not likely pay for it unless hed been treated with antibiotics for a much longer time. (I never did confirm this). After 6 mos there was some improvement, but his condition worsened over the following 6 mos. What concerned me was that in the latter 6 mos, Dr Strauch barely examined him, stated the same thing each visit "looks better" and began asking us to come every 3 wks instead of every 4 wks. At the last visit, when he again stated "looks better" even though it didnt, I decided not to return. We saw another dermatologist who at first glance stated that my sons acne was too severe not to have been treated with Accutane from the start. He stated that while highly regulated and requiring monitoring, most patients see the acne clear within a few months. I would not recommend Dr Strauch for the treatment of severe acne. I regret I did not follow my instincts sooner. I could have saved my son from over 12 mos on antibiotics and suffering from this severe condition.

Doctor was nice enough but one particular woman on his staff is curt, rude, uninformed. Gave wrong information about medication, when I followed up via phone, she repeatedly disconnected me. When I called back later that the day, she put me on hold again. After waiting 10 minutes in space, I hung up and called back... only to get the answering service that the practice has closed for the day. Utterly unprofessional.

This was one of the most pleasant experiences Ive ever had at a doctors office. Dr. Strauch was kind, patient and understanding and the ointments that he gave me cleared up my skin infections in less than 3 days! I was very nervous about what was wrong with me and Dr. Strauch was very sensitive to my fears and calmly talked me through everything until my condition was cured. Thank you so much Dr. Strauch.

These other reviews are not kidding. About the only good thing about Dr. Strauch is that you can get an appointment with him much faster than with the other local dermatologists. But once youve been there, it will be easy to see why. The staff is rude and apathetic and the doctor himself wasnt much better. Like the others, I received no help with my problem and his team basically wasted my time.

Prepare to wait an hour for a 3-5 min appointment, over and over again. Dr Strauch is great, but youll see him for a few mins - the other 45-60 is spent with infuriating staff, which leads me to my next point: Prepare to deal with sarcastic, unprofessional staff. I feel disgusted every time I leave their office. Please, dont take my review lightly. Find a better doctor. What a disgrace.

Went here twice for Ringworm.. the first time Dr. Strauch told me that it wasnt Ringworm and gave me an ointment that DID NOT CURE ANYTHING.. The second time I went he stood by his claim that it was NOT Ringworm, and gave me another ointment. Both times he said it should clear up in 2 weeks, but it has been 2 months, with no positive results. This man is a terrible doctor!

WENT THERE 3 TIMES; I RECEIVED A RX FOR HYPERHYDROSIS IT WORKED FOR A COUPLE MONTHS THEN SAME SYMPTOMS STARTED TOLD HIM THE RX WASNT WORKING AND HE SAID TO APPLY IT MORE THAN ONCE AND GAVE ME SAME RX ; NOT HAPPY I FEEL LIKE HE DOESNT GET TO KNOW HIS PATIENTS ENOUGH BEFORE HE DOES A DIAGNOSIS. ALSO, I WAS NEVER CALLED WITH LAB RESULTS..

What a kind man. About a week after my appointment with him (and a few days after my condition completely healed) he personally followed up with a phone call to make sure everything was ok. You just do not see that kind of customer service from many health care providers anymore and I wanted to acknowledge what a good feeling it is.

Dr. Strauch successfully diagnosed my condition after just one visit. For years I have tried different doctors, medications, creams, etc. Dr. Strauch took one look at me and diagnosed correctly! He is an excellent dermatologist and just good people. Best of all, he is right next door in Highland Park, NJ. Highly recommended!

I went to Dr. Strauch with my young son who is always petrified of doctors and he was an absolute pleasure. He had my son at ease and even got a smile out of him:) In addition, we were given a prescription for some creams which had the rashes healed in a couple of days. Happy to recommend this doctor.

My daughter had a nasty growth on her head for years that she wouldnt let any doctor touch. She met with Dr. Strauch, felt at ease with him and he ended removing the growth. I am happy to say that the procedure was a success and my daughter now has a new positive attitude towards doctors:)

This Guy is an out Rite crook wont take secondary INS.. got a $500.00 Lab bill and there office never even called me on the Results.....
