After moving here from my hometown I was very worried about finding a new doctor because Id been going to my doctor since I was born. I was happy to finally find Dr. Chiara. Shes been my primary and my gyno for about 4 years now and shes always been great with me. Its pretty easy to get an appointment and shes rarely running late. Since shes also a gyno she gets the whole picture when you visit, from a womans standpoint. She listens well. If she isnt able to diagnose you shell always give you a couple options in specialists for referral unlike most doctors who just say, "Go see this guy". My only critique is that she isnt up on some of the newer "designer" drugs, in my case Patanase, which was prescribed by an allergist she referred me to. Other than that, shes prompt, thorough, has good bed side manners, and empathy. I dont fully understand the other negative posts... and as for the girl with abdominal pain I probably would have jumped too. If its so severe that you yelp everyones first thought is appendicitis and an emergency room is where you should be. That happened to me with my old doctor and they sent me straight for a CT scan at the hospital.

Im honestly surprised anyone gave this "doctor" so much as 2 stars. I use quotes around "doctor" because I believe a doctor is someone we go to to help us. In my case about 4 years ago, my experience with Bianca Chiara was that she didnt care one bit for me as a person, let alone a patient. I had to wait forever to be seen for my first appointment. Eventually Dr. Chiara came to the reception area and she and the receptionist proceeded to chit chat and laugh about something on Facebook. Turns out Dr. Chiara was showing the receptionist someones profile and they were poking fun. Not a good sign. My follow up appointment was a joke. I had to suggest that the doctor take my blood pressure again and weigh me to see how I was progressing. Needless to say I did not go back. So why am I writing this review now? Because a friend of mine just went to see this doctor today and instead of helping my friend feel better, Dr. Chiara berated her and made her cry. WTF? Who does that? To anyone, ESPECIALLY a patient?

Where to start; how about with the receptionist who is one of the rudest people I have met. Do not rely on her to provide any information and if you ask a question expect a wise remark back making you feel stupid for even asking. On to the visit. For an annual checkup the Dr will spend about 30 seconds with you before sending you off to get blood work. When I actually had an issue and went to see her she made no attempt to diagnose the issue and basically gave up when I described my symptoms. She told me I could have a very serious illness and when I went to see another Dr he diagnosed the issue in no time and it was easily taken care of. There are several reasons I would suggest looking for another Dr.

I went to her once with extreme lower abdomen pain. She seemed even more freaked out than me when I yelped in pain when she tried to examine me. Not only that she had no idea...not even a suggestion as to what was wrong with me. infact she asked me to go to the emergency room. I went to another doc, and he was able to figure out what happened and took care of the problem. From that point on I only go to docs who have atleast 15 years of experience. I dont want to go to a doctors office and see the doc more frightened than me. Not that it matters but she seemed more interested in getting all dressed up and looking like a doll. Sorry! Just my thoughts.

Dr. Chiara is the best!! I love that she offers both primary care and functional medicine, and its always easy to get an appointment with her. She is responsive, personable, well informed, and up to date on the latest in both Eastern and Western medicine. She takes a functional / holistic approach to treating her patients, which is exactly what I was looking for when deciding on my PCP. She is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. I have been seeing her for a few years now, and I am so grateful that I found her - she truly cares about her patients. If you are looking for a doctor, I highly highly recommend Dr. C!

This is a review for Gerard Chiara, Biancas father. He is terrible! Dont waste your time. Went there a few times because he was the only one in Hoboken that covered my insurance. Nothing was accomplished. I just needed an adjustment. He actually sent me to get my spine and neck ex-rayed. I was exposed to unnecessary radiation. Shouldnt have done it. Nothing came up. He never adjusted me. Do NOT get this man confused with Bianca Chiara, his daughter. Completely separate practices. Dont waste your time with this guy.

Very efficient. I usually dont like doctors and went to 2 others in Hoboken before Dr. Chiara. Dr. Chiara was kind, honest and efficient. Had no problem getting an appointment and did not have to wait very long. While most doctors have a nurse or assistant take you into the office, take your information, and then let the doctor see you for 5 minutes, Dr. Chiara listened to all of my concerns right away and I was in an out of the office in less than half an hour. Have already recommended her to a handful of friends.

Smart, Knowledgeable & Pleasant. This doctor is the best Ive met she was extremely knowledgeable. I have not been able to loose weight since I had my child 6years ago. She was able to diagnose and point me in the right direction. I have a metabolic syndrome and a insulin resistance. with proper diet and medication I will be able to be healed. I have been to doctor after doctor they all said go to the gym work out and watch what you eat. I am thankful she was able to see beyond. I highly recommend her!

I went for an obgyn appointment and not only was she great, but she also was very forward about letting me know which tests insurance would cover. Highly recommended!
