If I could give this place a negative star I would! The maternity dept. Is a joke here dont come. The nurse staff was probably the highlight of our experience. They think its more important to have a post birth massage person than a lactation specialist. My wife was told she would be able to go home on a Thursday, then Wednesday night they decide out of the blue that they want to put her on a blood pressure med when all her other doctors said it was high but not high enough to medicate. Then magically, 1-2 hours before she was supposed to be discharged, we are told that the Dr wants to "observe" her for 24 hours. Well, its been 24 hours and the Dr is telling us he wont discharge her until tomorrow making the "24 hours" more like 40 hours; he also added that he may want to increase dosage of the drug, then what, keep us here even longer? The doctor doing the "observing" even said you cant count a blood pressure test if the patient is frustrated or upset; what does he think my wife is with the way weve been treated? This place does whatever they can to rack the bill up. They dont care about doctors ethics, honesty, or even common decency. I will forever talk this hospital down because at this point, Im done dealing with their BS.

Took my wife to the ER for throat and abdominal pain, the day after Thanksgiving. Among the staff we encountered, three individuals stand out. First, an ER nurse named Reba, was very professional and yet also clearly exhibited a concern and care for my wifes health and her state. Reba was very busy, but did not seem harried at all, splitting her time between a number of patients Second, and not any less critical was Dr. Feldman. Very professional as well, with a great manner for a perplexing cause of pain, and also encountering a treatment that had been rendered to my wife that he was unfamiliar with (gastric balloon -not the cause of issue, by the way), yet he was very caring and diligent. Later, speaking to our own gastro enterologist, we heard very enthusiastic praise for Dr. Feldman. And finally, the Patient Liaison. I did not catch his name, but he was wearing a sweater vest and carrying a clipboard. I approached him a few times with questions, and he was extremely responsive. A very good addition for family members who are looking for that other friendly, non-medical contact.

Go in with an ambulance, or dont go in at all. (Im guessing they wont just leave you in the parking lot, but hey, based on my experience there is always a chance) Sat in the emergency room with a 2 year old, that was crying, had a 101 fever and was vomiting all over the place for 2 hours before we gave up and headed to Morristown. This was 6pm (normally a fairly busy time for hospitals) and apparently they had one doctor on duty and no beds. Your problem wasnt their problem and that was how we were treated. The lady at reception was brilliant though and handled our frustrations like a pro, but it just shows she had lots of practice at it in the past.

I have had two months of "episodes" of chest discomfort, hot flashes, lightheaded, fainting, and vomiting when these episodes occur, my BP is through the roof... This has sent me to the ER 4 times.... This hospital has been of no help to me... They send me on my way with a "GOOD LUCK" No one there has been able to figure out the cause.. Makes you wonder if they ever went to school! At this point, I wouldnt send my worst enemy to this hospital..

Place is DISGUSTING!! A six-week old litter box is cleaner. My mother showered immediately upon return; she said to the EMTs that she didnt wanna go; but they told her to go to get checked out, so she went, and thats all they did. "Get out" "Nothing we can do for you" "Can you walk home?" Went on a Friday evening, nobody there; it was a ghost town. Idk, maybe Death was there?

Unable to provide names of attending personnel, therefore unable to ascertain whether covered by insurance, minutes before a major procedure. Since they are unable to provide critical basic information, I doubt they are able protect patient information and privacy. Waiting room filthy. Every seat is dirty and has stains.

Their Physical Therapy folks here are terrific, highly recommended, beautiful facilities. Then, the ER for an early morning problem was fantastic. Then I had a same-day operation procedure there and some of the nurses acted like card-carrying psychos. One of actually them told me, "The pain is all in your head".

I recently had hernia surgery at NMH. The nurses were really nice and my overall experience was pleasant. The only problem I had with the hospital was the urgency to get me out of there post surgery. It was a little frustrating but the surgery went well and I would definitely recommend anyone to get surgery here.

Horrible Hospital, my Husband went in and had tightening in his chest. They told him it was a pulled muscle...REALLY?? In went in around 11:00 at night and was dead the next morning. I was heartbroken but he did not have to die...They never attended to his needs. It was awful. Not a good Hospital at all.

My daughter was admitted here after being discharged too early from St. Clares. Cant say enough good things about the pediatric hospitalists and the nurses in the ACU. For a hospital without a "pediatric wing," they were absolutely wonderful caring for my child

I was admitted to NMC 12/2/15 and had an excellent experience from start to finish, from the care in ER to the cardiac floor 1 Hussey. The nurses and doctors were caring, attentive, patient and professional. Very impressed with the quality of care I received.

My friend hit his head while snowboarding on Mountain Creek in Vernon, NJ. This was the closest hospital but he still had to wait almost 2 hours in the hollway to be checked. Staff is friendly but the service not so great....

One of my family members had appendicitis, So when we came here, they were very nice, they treated them quickly, and they ended up being fine. Its a great hospital. The only downside was that we were there for a while.

The only reason I give this place a good rating is because my nurse Kim was AMAZING and tended to me the whole time I was there, whatever I needed she got for me and made me feel as comfortable as possible.

I came in passing out and feeling dizzy, got some tests run on me, left passing out and feeling dizzy. They let me go with a good luck because they couldnt figure it out so they gave up. Never again.
