PLEASE READ THIS!!! I dont usually use the term conmen, but be warned!!! My husband was looking for a new dentist, and he came across the great reviews for KK Dental. He visited both the Edison and North Brunswick offices, and was told he needed a lot of work. At first, he was amazed that all of the dentist he saw found different problems that needed to be addressed immediately. He had a regular exam and cleaning, wisdom tooth extraction, root canal, and a crown put in. Before all these services, he received a print-out listing all the services needed and associated pricing, which included our out-of-pocket costs. This impressed me, as I have never had a dentist do this before. But, my happy impression soon changed. Once he actually received the services, he was told a different price, which was double the amount of the quoted price. With frustration, he paid what they said he owed each time. On the last visit, he asked once more about the final balance, and he paid what he was told he owed. The receptionist said he was paid in full, and would not have to pay anything more. So, imagine our surprise when we received a bill 2 months after services stating that we still owed $1,168.30. Our insurance only covers $2000/year, so if we were quoted the correct pricing for the services, he would have waited on some of them until next year. Upon further investigation my client who is also a dentist said they should have never proceeded past the coverage cost without the ok. So, please beware of the billing inconsistencies at KK Dental. Its such a shame too, because the dentists are very understanding of patient concerns regarding pain management, and they do great work. I originally gave KK Dental 3 stars because my husband really liked the Korean dentist (we dont remember his name unfortunately). However, since that review we were contacted via phone by KK Dental to resolve the billing issue and things got worse. My husband called and spoke to Vee to discuss the issue. He was cut off several times while trying to explain his frustrations, and instead of satisfying him, she insulted him by calling him rude. So, the attempt to rectify the situation seemed fruitless. Later, when I got home we received a note card in the mail from another employee asking us to give them a chance to resolve the issue. So, we will try one more time to contact them and reach some sort of satisfying end. For now, my review has changed from 3 stars to 1 star. So, beware if you get services here you may have a surprise bill in the mail.

I found KK Dental through Angies List and Im glad I went. I called with a bad toothache and they were able to see me same day for a consultation and xray. Dr. Kim reviewed my xray and it was determined that I needed a root canal. We scheduled an appointment for the following Monday (6/9). He was very kind and ordered me several prescriptions to hold me over until I was able to get the root canal. Yesterday (6/9), I went in for a 5pm appt in their North Brunswick Office, I did not get into a chair until almost 6pm, which is why I rated punctuality very low, I believe I shouldve received a phone call if they were running late, as I left work early just to get there on time. Once I saw Dr. Kim again, he went over the procedure with me and we began. It took a bit longer than usual (about 90 minutes) because the tooth was infected and I had to sit with medicine in my mouth, but he explained that it was a vital tooth and that it was crucial that we killed all bacteria before sealing it. He knew that I was very nervous and talked me through the whole thing. After we were done, he took another xray to review the work. He was very pleased with the results and told me what he had done. Overall, the procedure went very well. I only had it done yesterday and I am already pain free today. I will be using another office for my post op and crown appointments because Im using another insurance that they dont take, but the receptionist explained the next steps to me and was very polite. Besides punctuality, this office, and most importantly, my procedure, was outstanding.

Endodontist: Dr. Sathya Kallur Dental Assistants: Ronnie and Aabhar I was extremely pleased with Dr. Sathya Kallur and his Dental Assistants Ronnie and Aabhar. I had an involved root canal which had caused me considerable discomfort for a long time. (I was under the care of another dentist not affiliated with KK Dental). When I made the appointment to see Dr. Kallur I was very apprehensive. From the minute I went into the office to the end result which was no pain, I was completely satisfied and amazed I put this off for so long. Dr. Kallur had explained in detail all the ways we could proceed and I chose to go ahead with Dr. Kallur for the root canal. He assured me of no pain and believe me that was my concern. There was no pain felt during the procedure or at the end of the procedure. I was given antibiotics which I took, Dr. Kallur also prescribed pain medication which I did not need at all. I was completely happy with the entire procedure and after care as well. His staff is competent. His two assistants couldnt have been nicer putting me at ease from the moment I got there to when I left. Ronnie and Aabhar I have to say were so kind and patient with me. From the messaging chair to their wit the entire experience was a pleasure. If I had to rate Dr. Kallur, Ronnie and Aabhar I would give them the highest of accolades. Thank you Dr. Kallur and staff!

This is a continuation from Anethra Wilsons review. I am the husband that was mentioned in this review. I was contacted several times by the billing department as a result of my previous calls and review that was posted. Today, I called and spoke to Vee hoping to resolve my issue. This lady got me so agitated by placing me on hold for over a two minutes, and then she kept cutting me off as I was explaining the situation and then she called me "Rude." I also told her that because of this I wouldnt be back so they lost a client. Her reply was "So." I guess they have never heard of the phrase "the customer is always right." This is the last straw as nothing was resolved and I was insulted. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BAITED AND SWITCHED AND THEN INSULTED BY THE STAFF!!!! I have filed a complaint with the BBB who informed me that they had other complaints over billing (surprise surprise). This is no way to conduct business. I think most people with agree with me. Its really a shame because the dentist are actually good. Its the people that are in charge of customer service and the billing practices that need revising. For me, this actually overshadows the great work done by the dentist. Its really unfortunate.

Ive been going to KK dental for 4 months. In these 4 months Ive had just 1 root canal retreated. The Endodontist is good. Dr Tanius is probably the only reason I go to this place. Almost everyone else is garbage.. When I first went there I listened to the dental assistant describe the place as disorganized. Supposebly the front desk people and the doctors are different departments. The doctor would work on my teeth and the front desk would charge me for work not completed and complety wrong!! CHECK YOUR DENTAL CLAIMS IMMEDIATELY!!! If you get stuck with Dr mohan, she will not go into detail with you what you need done. You will feel rushed. The dental assitants are very knowledgeable. Brenda is very helpful. The front desk area is a big problem. Ive seen multiple personalities working the front desk. Some are loud. Some are rude. Some are slick talkers. Overall, this place is very disorganized. The doctors should discuss a treatment plan (which they didnt do with me in 4 months) The doctors should listen to your primary concerns and address them immediatly instead of talking about cleanings and xrays. Overall, its just badly disorganized. A few people who work there are doing fantastic, but thats about it
