Great care. Dr. Roth is extremely knowledgeable and his staff is great. We were referred to him after a routine eye exam of my daughter, who was 7 at the time, pointed towards strabismus. Prior to the exam we noticed she was having problems reading, staying on her grade level and she also complained of headaches. She also had difficulty with hand eye coordination. Dr. Roth confirmed the diagnosis and recommended we start her on vision therapy. We went through the course of treatment and over time saw steady improvement in all areas as my daughter used the techniques she learned to control/focus her eyes. While it was a long course of treatment for her I cant argue with the results. After therapy removed the obstacle of her vision problem at age 10 she went on to do very well in school and actually exceeded the averages for 4th graders on her PARCC tests at the state and district level as well as in her school, which is in a very good school district. I was so impressed that once my daughter finished vision therapy I began seeing Dr. Roth for my own eye care. I had complications from a 2009 LASIK operation from a large heavily advertised facility. Dr. Roth assessed me and offered me a chance to try Orthokeratology to correct my vision problems. I wear my corrective lenses at night while I sleep and during the day Im contact lens free. My results, greatly improved vision, the headaches are gone and Im seeing 20/10 (as long as I follow my lens wearing schedule). He also caught the early stages of glaucoma in me and is effectively managing that. What Ive observed is that Dr. Roth is very knowledgeable, he loves what he does and actually cares about his patients.

We are a military family who have moved 10 times and whose children have been wearing glasses and contacts since they were 10. I have NEVER in all of our moves dealt with such a terrible office. The office staff is friendly, but they dont do their job. The Dr boasts about how he does such an in depth eye exam, but yet put drops in my eyes for a glaucoma test, but never did the test. Why? Because he was too busy trying to sell me contacts to my son while looking at someone elses chart on his computer. The contacts he prescribed my son, no one else carries. So when we move in 5 months, I will be forced to pay for another contact lens exam. I went to the office twice to speak to the Dr in reference to the issue and was told he will call me. He never has. The office staff is supposed to call when your glasses are ready, yet both times, I had to call them. Its a poorly run office that seems to care more about money than patients.

Our son saw Dr. Roth for approximately two years. We made a huge mistake by not getting a second opinion from the very beginning. Dr Roth crafted a lengthly plan of treatment that was a large investment to us from a time and financial perspective. After two years, he continued to provide the same expensive exams providing us with the same information. We then scheduled not one but two appointments with top doctors from both RWJ Rutgers Hospital and Saint Peters hospital. Independently, both doctors told us our son did not require any of the treatment Dr. Roth was providing, that the glasses our son was prescribed and that he wore for years were not needed and that the thousands of dollars we were paying Dr. Roth were extremely excessive and not required at all. Should you be considering treatment by this doctor and his staff, please get a second opinion from the very beginning.

Had an appointment for consultation which was mistaken for an eye exam. Once they finally asked the dr if he can see us for a consultation they told us we were next and the room was being cleaned. After sitting for thirty minutes after that a gentleman came in and was escorted straight to dr without waiting leading us to wait even longer. After getting up and telling receptionist that we couldnt wait any longer she notified us that they are running behind and he had two patients in the rooms but they told us thirty minutes ago that we are next and room is being cleaned. Liars! There are better Drs out there who will honor your appointment time!

I traveled over 1 hour for my son to be evaluated by Dr. Roth and it was well worth it! Dr Roth was very patient and thorough in examining my son and took his time explaining this new world of vision therapy to me. Also, he helped me find a reputable pediatric occupational therapist closer to our home and spoke to the Dr to update him on my sons case. He went the extra mile. I worked with two staff members prior to and during the visit, both exceptional with helping me with insurance questions and the other who helped with the exam. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Roth!

As someone that has an extensive history of vision problems, i wanted to make sure i was seeing an excellent/ experienced optometrist. I was recommenced by a friend to see Dr. Roth after moving to the area. Dr. Roth is one of the best doctors i have ever gone to. He is extremely knowledgeable in the field and was able to determine the root of my eye pain after a thorough examination. I never once felt like i was rushed during my visit and Dr. Roth answered any questions i had. The office staff is great as well. Highly recommend!

I saw Dr. Roth for the first time this week and I have never had a more thorough eye exam in my life and Im approaching 30 years of age. He was knowledgeable, took the time out during the visit to explain everything in a way that I understood and participated in my own exam, and also saw things that every other eye doctor who Ive seen missed. I would highly recommend Dr. Roth and the whole team at Family Eye Care! If I could give them more stars, I would!

Dr. Roth and his staff are fantastic. After dealing with a brain tumor and severe vision loss, Dr. Roth was extremely thorough and user-friendly in providing treatment and helping me get a handle on my condition. He uses extremely high-tech equipment, which is on the cutting edge. From field testing, vision therapy, eye exams and complete family care I would highly recommend Dr. Roth and Family Eye Care without any reservation.

I enjoy seeing Dr. Roth and his staff. Dr. Roth always makes me feel like he cares about me as a person, not just as a patient. We talk about my feelings regarding my upcoming retirement and he asks how my family is doing. The staff in his office is professional and courteous. Im very happy with my experiences at Family Eye Care and have recommended and will continue to recommend Dr. Roth to friends.

Professional, progressive and kind are the 3 words I use to describe Dr Roth and Team @ Family Eye Care. As a grade schooler my now teenage son began vision therapy at this practice, and we realized a significant increase in his reading and language skills. We returned recently for an annual eye exam and lens prescription. The staff and Dr Roth are extremely thorough and a pleasure to visit.
