I had an 11:30 appointment today at the Perth Amboy location. It was supposed to be my first visit. When I arrived, the lady at the desk didnt bother to look up to acknowledge me. I assumed I was supposed to sign in. After standing in front of her for about a few minutes, I had to ask her if I should just sit down and wait to be called. She said yes. When I was called up. She mentioned that I was late for my appointment. ( I was 15 minutes late by the way because there wasnt any parking). There was a long pause...she didnt offer any solutions or alternatives. I had to ask her if I should wait. She said there are two people waiting for their appointments. Another pause...she didnt offer any alternatives or solutions. "So, could I wait?"I asked her. To which she shrugged. Another pause...no solution or alternative. "How long do you think it will be?" I asked. She said about an hour. I told her that I need to make a call to see if I could wait. But by now I was so disappointed with this front desk lady and her apathy. That I stepped outside and called another eye doctor and made an appointment with someone else. SantaMaria eye center, you should really try to hire more qualified front desk personnel because its hurting your business. And I will never be your customer and I will tell those I know and care about to never consider you ever.

wow, some bad reviews here, I have been a customer for may years and have never had a problem as described. Most importantly since going here my prescriptions have been excellent! 4/21/17 changing my review. I showed up for an appointment and they said I was at the wrong office which is impossible. Now Im back waiting for a half hour and they gave me paperwork to update. Attitude of receptionists is awful like they dont care. Ill be going elsewhere next eye exam.

If you need cataract surgery, this is the place to go. Dr. Santamaria is one of the finest and an innovator. I went to the Edison office and I have had mixed experiences with some of the staff. In the end, they dont do the surgery so I can put up with it. I am scheduled to have my second eye done and will go back. If there office experience was better, I would have done 5 stars.

What a yoke. Total waste of my time. Spent over to hours to contact them and only got voice mails. When finally reached someone, twice was transferred back to voice mail. it was like they do not care for business. finally decided to go to someone else.

unbelievable, after waiting on the phone for 10 minutes to make an appointment you get transfer to a voice mail box. I tried three several time, with no luck. How they make business like that?
