If you are looking for a dentist and are apprehensive then this is the only review you will need to read! I apologize in advance for how long it will be but its a VERY Honest one! When it comes to dentists I am the worlds most apprehensive patient! I can handle anything and I’m not one of those whinny people who can’t handle going to a dr. or having tests done. But when it comes to the dentist its a whole other story. I have had a few dentists in the past that have well lets just say over the last 20 years I have found the scariest ones. They have also had trouble getting me numb, sometimes taking up to 4 shots of Novocain. When I make an appointment I’m worrying for days about it and when the day comes, I’m dreading every minute…. I’m not exaggerating one bit and I’m sure some can relate. So, this brings me to my situation. I had an old filling (and root canal) done many years ago. Last year when I went to my old dentist I told her the filling was slowly wearing out. I was afraid that the tooth would eventually chip or break. The dentist moaned around about taking other teeth and filing them down and attaching them and well she did not seem confident at all. I asked about a crown and she said no, it could not be done. SO, a week ago sure enough that molar did in fact as I knew it would… break and it was sharp! I just couldn’t bare the thought of going to her again. I had met Dr. Oshidar from Roselle Park Dental at a chamber meeting and I heard him taking one night to one of the other people in the room and that how he was painless. Well they all say that, but something about his confidence as he spoke that night stuck in the back of my head. I of course researched out as you are now to get some reviews and they were all really good. So with no choice, I had to do something about this tooth, so I took a deep breath and made the appt. The staff were friendly from start to finish. They took me the very next day! I showed up and everyone was friendly. I sat down and a very nice man came up to me and I forget his his name, but he introduced himself as the office manager. He gave me a really nice gift bag and then took me on a tour of the whole facility. (Which is just beautiful!) I was intruded to many of the staff and then returned to the waiting room. Once called for my appt. I had x-rays which were very quick and the things they put in your mouth were very small. It was really not bad at all. I was then introduced to a hygienist named Bonnie who did my cleaning and Dr. Oshidar came in looked at my tooth. He informed me that he could indeed crown that tooth and actually make the crown right there the same day and I could walk out with it fixed without having to deal with temporaries and any issues. Yes, this place does their own lab work! Not only that but when I have gotten crowns before, they used that yucky goop to make the impressions. If you have ever had to do that you know what I mean. Well, they didn’t do that…they used a camera instead and then showed me on the computer how they make it. The tooth came out as a “perfect fit” to the rest of the teeth around it. It was put in place and I was done! Oh, and lastly they have TV’s above the chairs so when you are laying back, you can pick a channel and watch it instead of concentrating on what they are doing. I know this was a long review, I could go on and on, the billing people are great etc. but what you need to know is that Roselle Park Dental and Dr. Oshiadr and his staff are fantastic and if you are fearful about going to the dentist, then this is the dentist office for you!

I wanted to take a few minutes to rave about what I initially thought would be a horrible experience, that actually turned into one that has changed my life. From the moment Melissa responded to my email, I knew I chose the right dental practice. She immediately calmed my nerves, and spoke to me like a friend, not a stranger. Jessica was excellent in explaining the finance options I had, and dealt with me tremendously as I had a MILLION questions. She was very thorough. Emerson, was an incredible assistant to Dr Oshidar, and he really took the time to understand my fears and worries. I had a traumatic experience as a child, which caused me to neglect the work I needed on my teeth for years. I was self conscious about it to say the least. Dr. Oshidar, whos personality is as excellent as his dentistry, has changed my life for the better. I cant be more thankful for the time and effort he put into my teeth. He is a GREAT dentist, and his whole staff should be commended. I look forward to a lifetime of being a patient of Dr O. Trust me, if you are in need of a dentist who will take the time to listen, and give you a wonderful smile, this is your man.....Thank you Dr. O, and to your whole staff!!- Matt

In the last 2 years as a customer/patient of Roselle Park Dental, my experience has been mediocre and ended today. Ill focus on the last 4 visits (I usually go twice a year for cleaning & check-up). I had to wait in the office for over 30 minutes for one visit and over an hour for another. Youd think if they were that backed up that theyd give you a courtesy call. Nope. One visit had no wait, and another was ~10 minutes. I went in today because one of my teeth was chipped. I was seen after waiting 30 minutes. The doctor and her helper were really nice. They performed a check-up and took an X-ray. They said Id need a filling, so they administered novicane. This is when an office clerk came in and notified me that they no longer accept my insurance (Horizon BCBS of NJ) and expected me to pay out of pocket. Are you kidding me? Half my face is numb and this is when you choose to tell me? They said they had recently made the change and havent told all their patients. hmmm. So because of their mistake they want me to pay more....a lot more. No thanks.. I got up and left. Beware folks. No customer service here.

I went to RP Dental initially for an emergency because I had severe pain. Dr. Rodriguez tried to fill the deep cavity he told me that I had, but all it did was give me excruciating pain. After that, he did a root canal on the tooth and during the procedure, he slipped and damaged a major (TN nerve) deep in my gum. This caused me to have excruciating TMJ pain, which included jaw pain, migraine headaches, brief electric-shock type pain on the side of my face, and severe ear pain on and off for over two years. I had to go to several pain management doctors who told me the TMJD also caused several pinched nerves to form and it took a lot of NSAIDS, rest, missed days of work, anxiety, heating pads, massage therapists for a period of 2.5 years to finally feel fairly normal again. The damaged nerve finally healed for the most part because I am still young, but will NEVER recommend this place to .y worst enemy. I am now overdue for a dental cleaning, but afraid to trust ANY dentist again after what Dr. Rodriguez and RP Dental put me through and the damaged they caused.
