This hospital is absolutely horrible and I will never set foot in there again! I went there to treat a migraine that wouldnt subside and after telling them why I was there (had to tell them my story only 5 times) I told them that I was given a migraine cocktail at another hospital that have me the worst anxiety of my life and that I didnt want to be given that for pain..I have anxiety issues as it is..what do they do? They gave me the exact same GARBAGE and within seconds I started shaking and having a massive panic attack and the nurse had the nerve to tell me "dont start freaking out on me" after SHE did me wrong! Then when my mom who was with me asked her what she gave me, the nurse had NO IDEA what she had even given me..no joke, she had to actually look it up on Google! For anyone else who suffers from migraines, DO NOT go to this hospital! They will give you something called compazine, which does not work for pain at all, and it gives you terrible anxiety..I was awake for 2 days straight because on top of the tremendous anxiety this poisonous medicine gave me, it also prevented me from sleeping and it was even affecting my breathing!! And after researching the drug myself I found out they use it to treat schitzophrenia...news flash, Salem Hospital...when someone comes in for pain, you give them something for pain..NOT for schitzophrenia!! Please hire some staff members who actually know what theyre doing and who also have a better bedside manner than the nasty nurse I was cursed with that night!!!

Well, if you are uninsured I would not use this hospital for emergency services unless you want to receive two bills- one for stepping foot into the hospital and a completely separate bill for whatever doctor decides to come in and not even treat your issue. Im not talking low bills either youre probably looking at a $2000 charge from the hospital and then another $500-$700 for the "Emergency Room Physicians" who actually do NOTHING for you. Just want to warn you that if your condition is not life threatening, I would hold off and try to schedule an appointment with a regular doctors office, who at least will clearly explain the charges you will receive before you go through the whole process and get surprised with a $2,500 to $3,000 total charge. Seeing as how they didnt even treat the problem I came in with and referred me to go to an outside office, I would really hate to see what they charge you if they actually do give you any type of actual care.

Awful!!!!!!!! I went there because of a broken tooth. Apparently im a drug seeking scum bag because i dont have dental insurance at the moment. Thats exactly how he made me feel. He was also apparently trying to beat some time trial because i was seen for maybe 5 mins. He smirked and told me he wasnt going to give me anything for pain and asked if i wanted a dental block. Im thinking its like a putty to put in the hole in my tooth. Nope! Its a needle filled with orajel!! After the first 3 shots i started crying and screaming for him to stop! He said noo no. Like i was a 5 yr old!! After 3 more shots he finally took the needle out! As im pouring blood he said ok let me get ur paperwork, with his little smirk. Im in more pain now than i was when i went there!!!! Reviews and phone calls will be made all day!! And fyi, when someone is crying and screaming for u to stop. You stop!!!!

GREAT WORKERS. I must say this that for a first timer in a hospital that is not stuck on themselves, I would actually like to use them for any circumstances. They were time reasonable about taking their clients to get them treated in a timely fashion. They are VERY PROFESSIONAL. I just moved here from Atlantic City area and I would perfer this hospital over ANY and ALL medical centers in the USA. They were the ONLY HOSPITAL THATKNEW WHAT CHAIRI WAS (for you that dont know what it is. Its surgery to the brain to left it off of your spinal cord, they use a mesh to hold the brain up in your head). I been to numbers us hospitals and they didnt know what it is and still hit my moms head.. THIS HOSPITAL ACTUALLY KNEW WHAT IT WAS AND THE BEST TOP OF THE LINE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PROFESSIONALISM.

Do not and I mean do not go there for their sleep center, or make an appointment they are ignorant and rude and that is with insurance! It is one of the worst experiences I have ever had trying to have a critical study done on my son. I hope no one has to deal with what I have dealt with today! Rude and totally have no care for people who live and work in Salem County with HEALTH INSURANCE!!!!

Had the absolutely best experience during my stay! The CEO is a very nice man! Payed me a personal visit to check on me and see how my stay had been so far. :) all the nurses and staff were absolutely perfect! Very attentive and right by my side! Made sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. I highly recommend Salem Memorial Hospital to all my friends and family!!

OH MY GOD no wonder my neighbor go a cross the brigge . I went today because I need aXRay And Idont want a drive to far Iam really sick but after one hour and a half none that ass hoe even noTice that can breed so I left thank GOD they dont get paid with mine money another thing iguest they only care about old caucasian

Salem hospital is simply the worst. Not everybody wants narcotics. If it wasnt for the Cooper doctors they have now, that place would of been closed its doors. My advice go to them if your in life and death situation. Once there get them to transfer you out to ant hospital but make it clear to them. Once stable, youd like to be transferred.

The worst possible hospital to go to. No urgency, no communication, if you are counting on them for results, dont hold your breath! They are very good at giving you the run around and every excuse as to why you dont have them. I got told last week due to the holidays that were not even here yet!!!!!

Good experience there for a walk in ER visit. Folks were pretty nice, no big wait, about 30 minutes although our issue was not too serious. Got the bill and had to call them for insurance issue and they were also good on the phone which in NJ is kind of rare-haha.

I couldnt say enough about the staff and doctors of MHSC. I was in-patient for none days for acute appendicitis in April / May 2014. The nursing and rehab staff were kind, compassionate, and responsive to all my needs. Its a great local hospital.

This hospital doesnt deserve even one star. I was discriminated against due to mental status. I was treated like my pain wasnt even there and I am STILL in pain!
