I went last night for sever pain in my right side, neck, head, back, and trouble breathing. The guy who initially checked me in did the usually questioning, and with everything I said he looked at me like I was crazy. When asked what my pain was at on a scale from 1-10, I said 8. He looked at me like I was wasting his time. They then gave me two IV drip bags because they said I was "dehydrated", when I have been drinking water like a fish for the last week trying to kick what ever I have in the butt. They then did an x-ray on my chest, when its not my chest at all that has hurt. And when I asked as to why this was, I was told many people get the painful spots confused... For example, when someone is having gallbladder pain, most of the time its caused by the upper back or chest.. Thats fine and all, but after the "concluded" my x-rays were "normal" the sent me home with an anti inflammatory medication. When I asked what was wrong with me, I was told "your probably just have some type of a virus." They took blood, that to my knowledge was never sent for testing. The doctor didnt even so much as look at my neck, which at this point is the most painful part. Nor did they look into what could be causing me such extream pain in my side. This is the second time this year alone i have had the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE with this hospital. Both of which were COMPLETELY different reasons of being there. Yet, the "treatment" was the exact same. I am not sure why Robinson has gone so far down hill in the last 10-15 years, but at this point they would prefer to send you home with drugs that can be very addicting, as opposed to actually FINDING the problem at hand. I would suggest that if you actually want to to know what is wrong with you, drive the extra 20/30 minutes to Akron. At least there you will be treated like a person and not just some junkie. They will actually fix you

I would not even give this place one star. Honestly disgusted and never would suggest anyone going here . Had one of the worst experiences in my life - truly scared for my safety. Er room left my horribly bleeding wound open to spill over the hospital bed while I was sitting there waiting for someone to come stitch me up in extreme pain. When someone did notice a nurse walked in and instead of tending to my bleeding wound, he asked me why I took my shoes off. Now after working 11 hours in the rain and cold outside on a farm , I wanted to take my shoes off and get warm in the hospital as Im scared im bleeding out and going to die . So I sarcastically ask if he would like me to put them on and the nurse seriously says yes because " they are pretty ripe ". No sense of care for my health of safety. Did not offer me socks a blanket or anything while staring at the literal pool of blood on the bed. So as Im freezing and dizzy in a pool of my own blood I myself had to get socks out of the " staff only " drawer . My stitches were out put together horrible. Not uniform at all . Did not give me any instructions on how to maintenance . Did not check to see if my tendions are okay. Im writing this to hopefully save a life. Go to a place that actually cares . Im going to a different hospital today to get checked on. Go to a place that will give you care and a piece of mind.

Ive been in for a heart attack, pneumonia, pancreatitis , dislocated shoulder [to the ER] and in for removal of fluid from my lungs, the cardiac lab for rehabilitation and in the anti-smoking program [three times, unfortunately, with varying degrees of success]. I have been really impressed with the level of staffing even on weekend nights: full staff, real mds seeing you, complete labs available. Additionally, my wife has been in several times for one thing or another. My only real gripe was: I was in 3 hrs with a dislocated shoulder, before I got some morphine. Made for a long morning, but there are a couple kickers to that. I had taken some Percocet at home, and I have an implanted defibrillator-pace maker. So the physician had a balancing act to deal with getting me knocked out to reset the shoulder while insuring my defibrillator didnt initiate. I think he really had to do some medicine that morning. My weekend stay for observation after the minor pancreatitis attack was very comfortable, very thorough: they were determined to make sure my heart was stable, nothing else was involved. So while I would still go to Cleveland Clinic for surgery and some procedures, I can say I feel entirely comfortable going there when necessary for my wife and I, and feel it is a real asset to the communitys healthcare and well being.

This hospital charged me extremely inflated prices for services received. They will not work with me on payment plans for the outrageous bill. Some staff was very kind, but most Ive spoken to in financial and billing were extremely rude and unhelpful. They tell me to call someone else, then someone else, and direct me in a big circle. Although I am making payments of as much as I can possibly afford to, they are still going to send me to collections. But, they are still cashing my checks. Also, i am insured so these charges are on top of what my insurance already paid them. They are extremely greedy and insensitive. All of this hassle is from a single doctors visit for a wellness check up, not even for anything serious. God forbid something happens to someone and they need serious medical attention. Their entire life savings will be drained. I can say that I will never willingly come to any university hospital for services or attention.

How this hospital got good ratings is beyond me. First off I know 4 people who have gone here who have had their surgeries messed up and had to be sent to the Cleveland Clinic. I unfortunately had to go here a few days ago and was sad that I wasted my time and money. The nursing staff is very indifferent to you, they make it known that they dont care about you since you can hear them in the other room complaining about patients, which is highly unprofessional. In addition, the room in which I was in was extremely unsanitary, the floors were disgusting. There was actually blood in my room from a previous patient Im assuming. Ironically, when I almost threw up I was yelled at not to get any on the floor. In all honesty, I could have thrown up directly on the floor and nursing staff would have no idea because it was covered in filth anyways. And that folks are just some of the many reasons why this "death clinic" is so bad.

Pathetic! I would rate it lower if I could. Two trips last year brought me wasted time and undue expense. The first was for an infection in the knee of a leg with a below knee amputation. I went in with redness, hot to the touch and a discharge of pus from a split in the skin. After over 4 hours a very rude doctor discharged me because I had been there long enough (I agree), even though they had not yet received my x-ray results. To add insult to injury, my insurance does not want to cover the visit because the "doctor" labelled it as a rash. Unbelievable, but true. The second time I went in with a blunt head trauma and after sitting and bleeding for two hours in the waiting area I got up and left. I can bleed anywhere else for free. Save yourself undue stress and expense, go elsewhere, anywhere!
