I have been a patient here since I was a child. I dont know why I waited so long to change dentists. This has been the experience every time without exception: I have an appointment for 2:00pm. I arrive around 1:50. Fill out the same forms with questions about my health, dental complaints, etc. Bleeding gums? YES. Dental pain? YES. New or worsening crowding? YES. How do you feel about your smile? HATE IT. Then I sit in the waiting room until 2:40 - 2:45. They bring me back to see the dentist. The dentist is in the room for approximately 45 seconds. Takes a quick look into my mouth. "OK! No cavities! Looks good! Be sure to floss!" Back out to the waiting room for another 20 - 30 minutes before the hygienist is ready to see me. She brings me back for the quickest cleaning in dental history. "OK! Rinse! See you in 6 months!" My gums are still bleeding, my teeth still hurt, I still hate my smile. Recently I was scheduled for a scaling. If you are unfamiliar with the procedure it is a deep, below the gum line cleaning that requires local anesthetic. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time, I inquired about the wait. The look of horror that washed over the receptionists face said all that needed to be said. They were doing my procedure on the wrong patient! This place is a disaster. Avoid at all costs.

Eastern Dental is where I "HAVE" to go due to insurance reasons. Other wise I would never go there! I went in for (1) loose tooth in the front and the lady Dentist from India, or Pakistan or where ever she came from screwed it up ! The root canal that she did caused a large black spot to be seen through the front of the tooth and it was still loose. So now I had a dead loose tooth with a black spot ! It had to be pulled out. I told them that I never wanted her to touch me or anyone in me family ever again. And I wanted them to fix it at their expense. They made a partial for it, and that was no good. It kept moving up and down when I would chew. And then the one side piece broke when I was in the UK so I had no way to fix it until I got back. They had to make a full bridge but they could not use the insurance since it went across the mid-line. They told me they paid for the first replacement so they would not pay for a second. After 10 months, the one (1) loose tooth became a 6 tooth bridge and I had to pay $4000 out of pocket. You risk everything going there and you will not even be treated like a person. To them you are a source of money and that is all. BEWARE.

If possible do NOT go to eastern dental of hamilton. The staff here is completely care less. My mother had an appointment for a tooth pull and she was supposed to be given a vicatin pre surgery and they had her wait for 2 hours and NEVER gave her the pill! After her 2 hr wait they called her and said since she was never given the pill they werent able to pull her tooth so she was left for another week in pain. We came back for her rescheduled appointment and apparently multiple people have been scheduled for oral surgery at the same exact time so were here in a waiting room full of people waiting for surgery. DO NOT GO THIS DENTAL OFFICE. (The 1 star I gave is for the teeth cleaning staff. They are fast and all very kind and gentle.)

Why 1 star? Well only because there is no option for 0 stars. After a goose chase of call this number then that (for a dental emergency) finally was told a time to come in and then while having the issues addressed, was told that only 1 of the 2 issues could be resolved per their policy! What?! I had to "schedule" another emergency time to go in (of course only with another myriad of phone calls to multiple offices and speaking with profusely confused receptionists...) LONG STORY SHORT: if you have another dental network option EXERCISE THAT OPTION.

I, thankfully have not had this experience here. The staff has ALWAYS been friendly. The dentist and the oral surgeon I saw are AWESOME!!! I can see where someone would complain about the "privacy" thing because they have "pods" instead of separate rooms, but its your mouth, not a GYN exam!!! I found them to be very efficient as well. Get me in, get my teeth taken care of, get me out! They are good at that! Nuff said! Oh, and they ALWAYS get you in for an emergency!

Do yourself a favorite and just dont go there. Their service sucks, they are rude, and money hungry people. all they care about is to service as many people as they can, so they can get the most. their office is dirty, and they will put you through so much pain, no matter, what you are getting done. then the will process the claim incorrectly under your insurance so you can have a hell time trying to correct. Please dont there find a different office.

Dont even bother wasting your time with them. If you need to see a dentist there are more than enough different places around the area. I went in May to see them because of a tooth problem, they told me I needed a rootcanal. I had to wait till August for an appointment as they were overbooked and the guy was on vacation the whole month of July. How can you only have one root canal doctor?? They are a joke of an office with very rude workers.

I wouldve given it a zero star if there was an option. This is a factory where they want to achieve the highest turnover possible without caring for customer satisfaction. Having said that, the avg wait time is 30 min with an appointment. The doctors are substandard and rude. The staff is the worst that I have seen in my life. Think about the most disrespectful and rude person you know and multiply that by 10 - thats the staff.

My wife and I have been going there for many years. At one time I would have given them 2 stars at most, but over the years Dr. Levine, the manager, has improved the service and quality of care a great deal. I get excellent service and excellent care at Eastern Dental of Hamilton. However, their receptionist just took 10 minutes to pick up the phone. No apology or explanation. So I am taking away a star.

i started going to this place because is nearby. visited three times for cleaning and filling. so far so good in their sevices. everyone seem friendly and treat me with good respect. but this place need some work... old. and the waiting time is too long during visit and the waiting for appointment horrible. best to schedule your next appointment during you visit.

You would be better going to jiffy lube..This is the exact quote from the "REAL" dentist I went to after going to Eastern Dental. The girls in the office are nice. The guy that runs the place is rude and disrespectful. Dentistry is an art. This is just an assembly line. NEXT
