I cannot see why anyone would give Dr. Shapren a poor review. She has been with our children from birth to 12 years of age now and her office has always been helpful, responsive and a great resource for our family. As for the RN calling back, thats terrific as you get near immediate care and response. If you still desire to have your child seen, the RN on staff will help you set up a priority appointment. For the reviewer that left a negative comment based on Paramount, thats an issue with his insurance company - not the Doctors office. It should be mentioned that this Doctors office has been part of Summit Medical Group for a few years now, so the comment about Paramount isnt even applicable. No one at this office has been anything less than responsive and helpful - even accommodating when it comes to paperwork and such.

our child has been a patient for dr. shapren and we liked her at first but office staff and policies is absurd! first off, one receptionist is unpleasant and has attitude, she is condescending. but the one reason i wouldnt recommend this drs office, is everytime you call there since youd like to bring in your sick child, you have to speak to a nurse(or a nurse will call you back) and based on the symptons she decides whether or not your child should come in...which is insane!. what if your child is really sick, do you really want to take the word of the nurse that youre child isnt sick enough to bring in. last year my child had pneumonia and I am extremely grateful that I went to another dr. and got an extremely thorough check-up. therefore, i think twice about going to shapren and office especially if you have an emergency

Going by the lone review, Paramount Medical Group does not seem to entertain patients for consultation or treatment. Royal Sundaram Insurance Co. based in India, who are said to have a tie up with Paramount in the USA apparently are not aware of this fact. It is therefore advisable to restrict association with Royal Sundaram only within India.
