Worst doctor EVER! Wait time is well over an hour even if you are the first apt. scheduled. Make sure you do not have any questions youd like to ask about your child’s health or she gets annoyed. After waiting over an hour each time you are lucky if she spends more than 3 minutes with your child. After each visit I always receive a bill (even though my insurance covers 100%) so I speak with my insurance company each time my son has a visit with Dr. Samonte and like always, the insurance covered 100%. Why this doctor continues to send invoices saying insurance did not cover my sons visit is beyond me... After bring an issue to her attention for over 6 months, on my last visit with Samonte she told me it was urgent that I take my son to a specialist. Why it took her 18monts to figure out an issue that he has had since birth is pretty crazy. When I left that day, I asked how I could go about getting my sons records so that I could go else ware and 2 days later I receive a certified letter in the mail from Dr. Samonte stating that she can no longer provide medical assistance to my son since she cannot meet my "demands/expectations". In my opinion this doctor is EXTREMELY unprofessional. Did she want to kick us out before I got the chance to switch doctors? OR do my "demands/expectations" of her spending more than 3 minutes with my son and not waiting a year and a half to tell me about an issue he has had since birth not fit her criteria of being a doctor? I highly do NOT recommend this doctor for anything!

Dr. Samonte seemed like a nice friendly doctor the first time I met her for my child. After several visits, I realized that she cares more about quantity than quality. I usually have to wait on average at least 30 minutes, and there are a lot of patients. Once we finally get to see her, its almost as if she already has one foot out the door to see another patient. She was visibly annoyed when I tried to ask questions about my childs health and guidelines to follow. She really made me feel uncomfortable about asking questions. Her receptionists are not so much to praise about either. Its been over 3 months since I paid them to transfer my childs health record to my new pediatrician, whom by the way, is the complete opposite of Dr.Samonte. And they still havent transfer the record even though I called them a few times. Their reasons had been they had to make sure I have no balance left on my account, but Ive never owed them anything. My childs new pediatrician will on average spend about 30 minutes (vs 10 if were lucky with Samonte) discussing about my child, and at the end will ask if I have any more questions. Best of all, the wait time is no more than 5 minutes! Im so glad I made the decision to switch. If you are looking for a doctor that truly will provide guidelines and care more about your child, as a parent, Id like to advise you to stay away from this Samonte clinic in Clark NJ.

I am not one to usually right reviews, but I was shocked at the bad reviews given. I guess people only take the time to write one when they have something bad to say. My 2 children have been seeing Dr. Samonte since they were born. My daughter will be 6 in September. I have never had a problem with Dr. Samonte or her staff. They are very loving and they treat my children as if they were their own. We have had many emergency visits, fractured elbows and all and they have always been there for us. What many dont understand is that if you are going in for an emergency visit there will be some wait time, especially if you are going during peak cold season. This isnt a pediatric group where your child will be handled by numerous doctors. She is one women that will never refuse to see your child when they are sick. She recommends fabulous doctors for problems she cannot treat. And most important...my kids LOVE her!

No star. I dont know where has she studied medicine, but this "doctor" Samonte is too stupid to be a pediatrician. WONDERFUL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM we have where MONEY is ... , this woman should NOT have a licence to practice pediatric medicine. Unfortunately when they have a licence, they are believed and trusted to be a "doctor" but she certainly is NOT one. If it was up to me, I would have issued her a licence to be a janitor for DYFUS to whom she seems to be very royal. She lacks understanding required of a "doctor". AVOID HER and save your child if you can.

We love Dr. Samonte! She has been seeing my kids since they were born. There is a waiting time but its ok. She is always pleasant and she takes her time with my kids. I love that she has a different area for sick kids and well kids. Her daughter is also now practicing with her.

Dr. Samonte is very sweet and knowledgeable. She was very helpful when our preemie first came home from the NICU. The only reason she doesnt get 5 stars Id because the office doesn’t open now until 11am, so I have to take a full day off of work to take my daughter here.

DR. Samonte gets a 5 star. Shes very informative and passionate about what she does. Every time we are there shes treats my daughter as if she were hers. Shes so sweet and I couldnt ask for a better doctor for my growing 10 yr old. You rock Dr. Samonte

Dr. Samonte is a sweetheart. I dont understand these people with the negative comments. She and her staff are very helpful and friendly and know exactly what they are doing! Would never go to another doctor for my children.
