I called to Schedule an appointment and was asked what Insurance I had and then was told November was the next available appointment for a new Patient I said ok and was told that November 5th was their next available and I asked if they had openings on the 11th of November or if he would be seeing patients the week of Thanksgiving and I was informed maybe Dr Kerners office would have availability the days I was looking for and the only day they were seeing new patients was Nov 5th. When I asked if I could see if they had any openings in December and I was informed that Dr Ondo would be out of the office the whole month of December and that they could not touch that month for appts. I was not trying to get in for an appointment right away I understand that he is a busy Doctor and I was trying to get my niece in for an appointment and they will be traveling from Alamogordo where they do not have a dermatologist. I was a patient of Dr Ondo for years and have not needed to go back in many years but because of this experience I will also take my business elsewhere as suggested by your staff who suggested Dr Kerner. I also work in a medical office and we have referred out to Dr Ondo several times and a lot of our staff is patients there and we were shocked by your appointment schedulers responses. Dr Ondo is a great Dr that may need to change some of his staff.

I am 78 years old and have healthy skin. I am taking a medication that may make me susceptible to melanomas. I have seen Dr. Ondo two times, separated by 5 years. Each time it took a while to get an appointment, but the care that I received was outstanding: Dr Ondo was on schedule, the examination was unhurried and thorough, my questions were answered to my satisfaction, and the office staff was helpful and pleasant. I was amazed that, with the time separation between the first and second visits, Dr. Ondo remembered me, including some personal details which we discussed at the first visit. He is a fine doctor and a pleasant person.

I have had wonderful experience with Dr Ondo but just had to leave my appointment as he no longer is in network with United Health Care. Sorry , Mike
