I’ve been a patient of Bodies in Balance since its inception. I need their services about once a year for 14 to 16 sessions. Without Michelle and Beth’s extensive specialized tools, machines and especially their incredibly skilled and trained hands my body would not feel as good as it does. The owners not only have the equivalent of PhDs in Physical Therapy but regularly attend advanced courses and seminars to extend their knowledge and skills. On your first visit Michelle, Beth or one of their carefully chosen and also skilled associates will evaluate your condition and complaints. They are so good at diagnosing what combination of hands-on, or tool or exercise, manual or machine, will Aleve your condition that you will depart already feeling better. They will measure your condition and apply their extensive knowledge and experience to program your therapeutic needs. After you feel better, they will again measure your progress to objectively determine your improvement. They don’t quit until you have what you came for, feeling better and relief of pain. The group has installed not only a vast array exercise machines and implements but also a dozen private treatment rooms for individual hands-on therapy. There are a few dozen medical practioners in Wilmington whom I consider not only super competent, but also World Class. I am here writing this evaluation because of them. Bodies in Balance is in this class of health providers. If you need physical therapy, don’t bother with the ordinary, go to the top. Contact Bodies in Balance and experience Michelle DuPree Zumbro and Beth Catherine Connell and their therapist team’s superb skills.

My first time here my doctor referred me as I had headaches every day and pain across shoulders and up my neck and on. Bodies in Balance diagnosed the issue, each visit I received exercises to do at home. As I progressed, exercises changed. My issue was brought under control and I exercises to help in the future. Then I had a broken wrist that had complications after the cast was off. I was sent back to my friends, again they diagnosed the problem and we together worked to improve the situation. I joined their "live well program" and exercise there 4 times a week. I had arthascopic surgery ony knee. . .back to my friends for therapy! I take chair yoga from a wonderful instructor that is fantastic, kind, knowledgeable, supportive, available for advise and fun!! They have a massage therapist who is excellent. I honestly cant say enough good things about them. Everyone is caring, well trained, and well educated. I trust them completely; my headaches and my broken wrist were difficult issues and they were able to solve the issues. And finally one of my favorite physical therapists Id Jordan at the Hampstead office. I had TMJ and the doctor wanted to do surgery. I saw Jordan and with the exercises she gave me and her knowledge she handled the issue with therapy. It was hard work but worth it. I absolutely refuse to go anywhere else. Their professionalism is outstanding; I have tremendous trust and faith in them and I thank God for them. They have my respect.

My son started going to see Spencer at Bodies in Balance PT for a knee/hamstring injury which was causing him a lot of pain, decreased range of motion and interfering with daily activities. Spencer gave his knee a thorough exam and asked a lot of specific questions about his daily activities and what he wanted to accomplish and designed a PT plan specifically for him including exercises that he could do at home. After about 8 sessions his knee and hamstring are functioning back to 100% and he is back to his daily activities. Played several hours of paintball the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and had NO swelling or side effects. I highly recommend this group for your physical therapy needs. My son who is 16 1/2, was able to attend the appointments by himself which means I didnt need to take time off work to go sit in their lobby for an hour. They have extended hours including Saturdays which makes it easier to schedule appointments when you have busy schedules to work with. He was also given exercises via emailed links to do at home which definitely helped with his progress. If we ever need PT in the future I know where well be going.

I was referred to Bodies in Balance by my physician, and with good reason. Physical Therapy was provided in a warm, professional atmosphere with each Therapist and Front Office person I encountered to be very nice and friendly. They all knew what needed to be done to make me feel better and were so flexible with scheduling appointments around my schedule. I think everyone knew my name by sight on just my second visit. The PT administered was so well done, I was able to finish my program quickly and felt so much better than when I started. My therapists would review everything I should do at home each time I visited. They made sure I understood all my new exercises before I left. And, they would give me variations to keep my PT from getting "boring". It meant a lot to me that they were concerned that I keep up with therapy even after leaving their care. They have done a great job of setting a very high standard for any other place I ever have to visit (which hopefully will not be anytime soon.) And, if I have a choice of providers, I would definitely recommend and revisit Bodies in Balance for PT.

During the past 5 years I have used Bodies In Balance in Wilmington, NC for physical therapy and physical training to treat 3 different medical issues including damage to the ulnar nerve in my right arm/hand and postoperative recovery issues from a microdiscectomy between L3 & 4. I have received physical therapy from several PT practices, and Bodies in Balance surpasses all others by leaps and bounds. Everything about "B in B" is 5***** stars starting with the two owners who both hold PT doctorates and are on the floor every day administering treatment along with other members of their staff. The facilities are state of the art and offer a wide range of equipment, devices and treatment rooms necessary to provide the best care possible. I never understood or appreciated the importance of physical therapy until I needed it. Bodies in Balance is the answer.

Ive been going to Bodies in Balance twice a week since January as Im working to recover from a spinal cord injury. I look forward to my appointments, knowing that everyone from the techs to the therapists will be welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. My mobility and strength have improved much more quickly than my doctors expected, in large part because of the excellent care Ive received. And I am especially grateful to Sally, whose knowledge and skill are playing such a crucial role on my journey back to wholeness. Ive also chatted with several other patients, and all agree that they enjoy their sessions and find their care to be excellent. I would highly recommend Bodies in Balance to anyone needing physical therapy.

Ive been going to PT for nerve issues related to pregnancy and I am so very well taken care of by everyone at this practice. They are kind and personable people who do so much more than hand you pages from a book to do exercises. They have modified treatments for me due to my pregnancy and really work with me to make sure Im getting what I need. I went to them over a year ago with different issues and again, have nothing but good things to say. The new facility is spacious with plenty of privacy in the treatment rooms. Its a comfortable atmosphere and I have to say, when I no longer require treatment I will miss the people!
